Had some work done on my X1. As usual service is exceptional. Customer care is awesome. The technicians are thorough. They check vehicle for potential problems. Like I had an oil service done technician found my front end belt had a crack. I asked does it need to be replaced now. They said no. But just so I was aware. I scheduled car to go in the following month. I think how awful it would have been if I took along trip and it snapped. This BMW specialty shop is AMAZING! My BMW X5 broke down while I was out of town in St. George over last Christmas visiting my son. I live in San Diego. They started working on my vehicle right away, and got me fixed up and back on the road as soon as they possibly could, especially knowing I was basically stranded out of town. All the staff and mechanics were kind, professional, courteous and highly knowledgeable. I was most impressed. The facilities and the service bays are immaculate. The customer waiting room is very nice and fully stocked with beverages, coffee and even snacks, not to mention Wi-Fi and USB connections. I highly recommend this shop to all of my fellow BMW owners! My son's 2013 BMW 328i is blowing smoke from the tail pipe. Specialty Automotive misdiagnosed the repair as a bad timing chain. They were trying to steal 2500 for a needless repair. I wasn't going to go down that rabbit hole. I then took the car to BW and they diagnosed the repair as a bad valve cover and assured me a replacement would fix the problem with a cost of 2250. I received a call from Chris the owner today and he informed me that I need a new turbocharger as well. He stated the cost to be 3000 plus labor for new, but he had a used one he would sell me for 2000 installed. I was pissed because he didn't mention a bad turbo charger as a possible problem before he replaced the valve cover. I did some research online and a new turbo can be purchased for under 1000, however the likely cause of the tail pipe smoke is a faulty oil feed line to the turbo charger, if not the PCV valve which is part of the valve cover according to Chis. The part can be purchased for 150 and installed in 2 hours. I was looking at a 5000 repair from BW that is complete BS. Chris hinted at a rebuilt engine for 10k and the car would "run like a top". Rebuilt engines can be purchased for 3500. This dude is a rip-off and he is very good at talking you out of your money. He is going to put the old valve cover back on my sons car and he wants to charge me 625.00 for a battery, oil change and spark plugs. BEWARE. I don't think this is his first con job. read more

I live in Chicago and my X5 broke down while passing through St. George. These guys are top notch people. Unfortunately, my oil pump failed and as a result I needed a new engine which was confirmed by Bavarian Werkstatte and the Las Vegas BMW mechanics. While it was a horrible time, a week has passed and I reflect back to the way these guys treated me. They showed empathy and charged me so little for the diagnosis that I actually had to tell them it was ok to charge me more. I felt they were not paying themselves for the work they did to really get into the car. Knowing I was out of town I feel like many shops would have tried to take advantage of the situation. Bavarian Werkstatte changed the oil in my Mini Cooper Roadster a year ago, but it wasn't until I had it changed recently by a competitor that I realized BW charged me for 6.5 liters of expensive EU oil when my Mini only holds 4.4 liters. When I returned to the BW office today to inquire as to why they seemed to have cheated me, I was told it must have been a typo error and that they would refund me the difference for 2.1 liters. I'm completely sure there was no typo but only a ripoff attempt of a customer (single woman) who doesn't know much about cars and was trusting to their care. They also charged me an extra $29.16 for "Total Fees." When I pressed them what fees warranted a $29.16 charge, they said it was for credit card processing and oil disposal. Bavarian Werkstatte has every right to charge all the junk fees they desire, and I have every right to take my Mini to someone who doesn't charge junk fees and makes typo errors resulting in overcharges. I have two BMWs that I drive down to St. George quite often. Both have had problems and both times I took it to Bavarian Werkstatte for diagnosis and repair. They're extremely friendly, responsive, were able to take my car in at a moment's notice and were fair, honest and reasonably priced in their repairs. They were life savers. If not for them, I might have been stuck in St. George longer than I wanted to or may have had to tow my cars back to Salt Lake. They even followed up with me after my trip and had driven back north to see if I made it OK and to see how the car was running. They're absolutely fantastic! read more

This place was awesome. Chris, the owner, really cares about cars. We were driving from LA to Salt Lake but didn't want to drive the beemer the whole trip. Left my 2001 530i with Chris for Service 2 and took a rental SUV for the rest of the trip. While in Salt Lake, I called Chris for an update and added another small repair job. I picked it up my car a week later in excellent health! The price was right on the quote and I received great advice on the general status of my old beemer. My wife brought her bmw there to have suspension replaced on 2006 325i there's squeak told her to take it there and get quote. They refused said we had to pay for diagnosis. We did and paid 1200$ for control arms they said that was the squeak. Then when she picked the car the brake light is stuck on which it wasn't when we dropped her off. Man wanted to argue with my pregnant wife mind you she's 22 and doesn't like confrontation so she just left. The squeak came back a day later and she took it back asking why it was squeaking, they told her it was the suspension. She asked why it wasn't part of quote and he said she said she didn't want for the whole quote. The next morning my X5 wouldn't start so I contacted Bararian Werkstatte and they got me right in. Had to order the part, but wouldn't arrive until Saturday, They're closed on Saturday but they came in and did the fuel pump replacement. We were on the road by Saturday afternoon. Made the mistake of admitting I was stuck in town and was quoted $150 for an oil change on my '13 335i..... The DEALER in Salt Lake charges me $100 even, and my shop (MSN Auto in Salt Lake BMW Saab Mini) runs me $95. Whoever the mechanic was assumed I was driving daddy's car (I'm in my early 20's). Suprise, it's mine, and I pay the bills. When I was leaving, he tried to cover his tracks, apologizing and overexplaining. Eye roll. Save the money and hit Jiffy Lube. read more

I can't say enough good things about Bavarian Werkstatte!!! I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and drove to Parowan, Utah for Thanksgiving 2018. Just outside of Cedar City, Utah Thanksgiving day my BMW 535I's check engine light came on. I made it to my destination safely but worried all day if it was going to be safe to drive home the next day. I drove back to Las Vegas the next day and on the way home I called Bavarian Werkstatte and spoke to Chris. They were closed because of the holiday but he talked to me on the phone and realized I was really concerned and said to come to his shop, he'd meet me there. He was able to diagnose the problem and give me peace of mind that I was ok to drive the rest of the way home. I can't say how thankful I am that Chris took the time to look at my car. I got lucky. Chris (owner) Rubin (technician) and Lauri (business mgr) are very and fully competant, knowledgable BMW professionals. They were dead-on and most accurate in their estimate, diagnosis, parts ready, and neat clean timely and competant service.. They KNOW BMW's and I haven't encountered anywhere near as good of service when I've had to go to a dealer. We found ourselves stranded in a canyon on the Arizona - Utah border. We managed to limp into St. George Utah on a Saturday evening at about 5:30 p.m. I looked up Bavarian Werkstatte, and called and left a message on the off chance that someone would hear it before Monday morning. My goal was just to have them expecting me first thing Monday morning, but instead, at about 11:15 p.m. I got a text from Chris, apologizing to me for not having his work phone on him while he was at the fair! He offered to come and diagnose the car in the hotel parking lot, on a Sunday, and that's exactly what he did. He drove our car back to his shop, and his wife followed him, just to be sure he made it. We needed a new fuel pump which is not something a small shop normally has on hand, but he knew we were in a hurry to get back on the road. He had one of his guys stay an extra night in Salt Lake City, in hopes of scooping up the part first thing Monday morning. No such luck, they were out of stock. So what did Chris do? He got in his car and drove to Las Vegas to get the part for us. Straight there and straight back, and he had us on the road by 3 p.m. Unbelievable service! We also received two follow-up calls as we were racing our way across country. I can't recommend Chris any more highly, you just don't get service like this ANYWHERE! read more

I called Chris to see if he had any idea of what could have happened and he walked us thru a couple of tests ... nothing worked. Did he tell us to have the car towed to his shop and leave it at that? No. He and Lori drove to the parking lot, where we were busily melting in the heat, to help us. Chris immediately figured out the issue and fixed it on the spot.
