The staff was very caring and went over and above in making sure Mom's physical and emotional needs were met. Mindy, Laura, Shiane and Anita and many others were always there for mom and the family! The facility is beautiful and clean and the meals were delicious. ( I really liked the stuffed bell peppers) But the main thing is that they were loving, compassionate, helpful, encouraging, and uplifting while caring for all the residents and their families. We will always rememeber and forever be grateful for each of them. -The family of L. Drewry-

Would NOT recommend Care Manor! Meals were delivered really late (lunch between 1 and 2 p.m. and…read moresupper 6:30 and 7 p.m.), food was always cold, meat was tough and fatty, carrots were rubbery and tasted awful. Don't know why they have a button for patients to call for a nurse to help them when they don't answer the call or come to the room. There were only a couple of the nursing/CNA staff there that were pleasant. All of the other staff were less than pleasant and were snarky when speaking with them. Forget about the weekends as there was a fill-in nurse at the nurses station. She never left the station and was playing games on her phone the entire time. Only one CNA(?) for several patients and saw her once walking down the hallway. The nurses station down in another hall had 4-5 nurses and other staff which were sitting at the nurses station chit chatting and laughing like they were at a get together. Supposedly, all patients are supposed to get a shower twice a week. That never happened. My family member got ONE bedside clean-up the week they were there. My family member was supposed to get physical therapy while there, the whole reason he was there. They barely did any physical therapy! The first 3 days he didn't get any physical therapy. The other days were very minimal. My loved one will NEVER go there again!

I ended up calling 911 for an ambulance to take her to the emergency room. It was disgraceful. What a terrible environment to have to place a loved on in. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

That place is a nightmare...my 1st night there I was awakened before dawn by a male staff. Sat in the common area alone. There were no staff on the floor. Where did that guy go ?! I took a blanket from a chair left overnight, found an unlocked door to a vacant room and curled up on the floor. That is where day shift found me. Because I was deemed "agitated" I was told: "keep it up and you will have to stay longer" by Jennifer. That was also when Jennifer told me a patient had died overnight!! Died alone in a room with no monitors, no call buttons, and no staff on the floor for hours! No rules were provided to patients. Instead, staff waited until a rule was broken, then used it to verbally abuse patients. Telemedicine only. I was presribed an antipsychotic and blood pressure medicine with serious drug interactions and never told about the antipsychotic, let alone recieved any counseling. I have records. Dr. Czerwinski, I believe. You are locked in. All possessions and clothing are locked away. You are locked out of your room during the day. You don't know when you are being released until they hand you the phone. I even got reprimanded for that, because it wasn't the 1 hour calling period allowed for the entire floor! The plastic mattress and shoddy bedding is a cruel joke....the bed has an alarm on it that is triggered by the patients' movements. It couldn't have been more disruptive to sleep or health. I understand "liability", but this is ludicrous. These are people over 55, most are weak, many are wheelchair bound. Suicide is not likely. Death by abandonment on this floor, is, though. I went to ER because of high blood pressure.. got convinced by Jamie Leach to check in because I allegedly had "passive suicidal ideation". SIX DAYS ON THE SIXTH FLOOR. I have had lumbar surgery..2 days in hospital. 2 complete hip replacements for 2 day stays each. That is six days!! There are only 2 staff members there with humanity: Darrin is a Prince! Caring and sweet. I don't know her name, but there was a Latina lady on night shift who was also caring and sweet. I can only hope they found jobs in a better environment, because they don't deserve to suffer in that terrible place either. AND It wasn't just me. I watched a patient sliding out of his wheelchair. When I stood up to look for help, I got yelled at by the caregiver that was supposed to be sitting next to him but wasn't. After she allegedly took care of him, she abandoned him again and I went and got another caregiver because one of his kegs was still hanging off the side of his wheelchair. . .And the poor man had had a tracheotomy, had to talk with an electronic device and no one was paying attention to him at all! There was a lady laying in a bed next to the nurses station being ignored for days. It wasn't until a fellow patient had a long talk with her and was finally able to convince the staff to help her. She was sitting up...that's what it took to get her taken care of. ..another patient. Do they know about bed sores?! AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY DENIED ALL CHARGES. It is now July. I still can't sleep through the night. I am still picking up the pieces of parts of my life I was unable to pay attention to from being traumatized by the unexpected, random cruelty I experienced there. THIS PLACE IS A BLIGHT AND SHOULD BE CLOSED IMMEDIATELY FOR EVERY PATIENT'S SAFETY! Wendy Johnson
