Nicest people that own the store but don't get gas unless you have 30 minutes to fill up. Their pumps are extremely slow.

This RaceTrac is relatively new, having opened in 2018, and it's great. It's big, bright, clean, and has competitive gas prices. I stopped by this RaceTrac on my way to play golf at nearby BridgeMill Athletic Club. These newer RaceTracs are nice-looking with modern designs and buildings, columns, and signs made of brick and stone. This particular RaceTrac has 20 shiny pumps, each offering five different types of fuel: diesel and four types of unleaded (87, 88, 89, and 93). Unleaded 88 fuel (or E15 for 15% ethanol) has been popping up at newer gas stations around the Atlanta metro for at least about a couple years now. The property is open 24/7. The convenience store offers a bevy of food and drink options - more than the average convenience store - including RaceTrac's own self-serve froyo brand, Swirl World. There's even a covered patio, something the competition (QuikTrip) doesn't offer. This is the standard by which other gas stations and convenience stores should adhere to. Recommended.

Frankly - I'm struggling to figure out how I haven't heard of this place and why no one has posted…read morepics. The oldest review is from 2012! For more than 8 years, I used to frequently visit a plant less than a mile from this place and had no idea it was here. The only thing I can think of regarding lack of photos is maybe the other diners are wolfing their food down before they can snap pics. Lol. I love a good, hot cheap lunch and this place fits the bill. I guess it's what some would call a 'hole in the wall,' but as long as you keep that in mind, for this type of eatery, they knocked it outta the park! Exterior / Interior It's a gas station / convenience store, located right on the corner of Allgood and Damar Rd. (It's less than 5 minutes north of The Big Chicken). Limited parking and be careful exiting the lot. It's on a curve, no traffic light and most motorists seemed intent on disobeying the speed limit. Interior seemed clean and orderly, most customers seemed to be buying food or scratchers. They have this virtual gambling machines and each one was occupied. Crowd was a mix of friendly working class folks and surly sour faced people cursing and trying to steal other people's joy. Food I ordered a turkey club for myself and a chicken philly with fries for the SO. I took the liberty of opening his sandwich and fries to take a pic. My turkey club was quite tasty. I would have his again but I'd ask for it to be placed in a Styrofoam container and I would probably omit the third slice of toast. Thanks to the tight, foil packaging, may sandwich got pretty steamed up by the time I got to my destination. My sweetie said his cheesesteak was excellent and he enjoyed his fries as well. The fries and tator tots have their own dedicated cooking station - and they looked and smelled delicious. Also want to give some Kudos for variety. The cooking area is TINY but somehow, in addition to cheesesteaks and burgers, they also have cold cut sandwiches, fried chicken sandwiches, shrimp PoBoys, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, beef / lamb gyros and hot dogs. They even have a veggie patty sandwich! Customer Service The 3 men behind the cash register were friendly and the person I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and kind too. (I called to ask about hours and whether they had a menu online). The young lady doing all the cooking was friendly and efficient. She smiled as she asked if mushrooms and onions were ok on the Philly. She kept smiling as she asked if I wanted it dressed with mayo, tomato and lettuce and she thanked me for stopping by. She was manning the grill, the fry station and taking orders and still she managed to stay upbeat and pleasant. Price / Value I think the food prices are pretty reasonable. Another reviewer said the cheesesteak was $5 - either regular inflation or COVID ... it's $6.49. My turkey club was $5.79 and I think the fries were $1.89. They don't have any paper take-away menus (you know I asked) and no online presence so I snapped a few pics of the menu they have written on the an actual, old-school chalk board. Unfortunately, the chalk is very faint and the menu is very hard to read. COVID precautions None at all that I could see. No masks were worn by anyone. There is a plexiglass divider between the customers and the cashiers and the cooking area is on an elevated platform, but otherwise - nada! Overall Overall, once COVID is over, I would stop back by if I was in the area. They are open for breakfast and they stop cooking at 4pm, so I would suggest arriving no later than 3:30pm. If the owner reads this - I would LOVE to see a chicken gyro added in the future. Lol. You already have the flatbread, onions, Tzatziki sauce ... just use that tasty chicken you use on the chicken philly.

I checked out the desserts, brisket sandwiches and all of the beef jerky. I then went to the Buccees shot glasses. Of course, I took pictures of the Buccees truck along the way. The staff was friendly and able to help me find what I was looking for. My friends and I shopped and ate for two hours! Since there isn't a place to eat, we ate inside my friend's car. The bathrooms are clean with no wait time. I enjoyed looking at the artwork when I entered the bathroom. I noticed there were other products that looked like it belonged to a Hallmark store and fishing store. Buccees has whatever you need and more. The brisket was delicious and I loved the sauce. The sandwich was just enough for me. My friends and I had a fantastic time perusing Buccees and now I know why people are obsessed.

It's so much more than a gas station, it's like a giant convenience store, grocery store, and gift shop all in one. They sell just about everything, and it's fun just walking around to see what you'll find. While we were there, a woman realized her son was missing, and it was scary to witness. Thankfully, the Buc-ee's staff immediately jumped into action to help, and after several minutes, he was found safe. It was nice to see how quickly everyone responded. I had always heard people rave about the jerky, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The jerky I bought tasted spoiled and had an unpleasant flavor. Considering how much it cost, it definitely wasn't worth the money for me. My son really wanted one of the Buc-ee's fleece throw blankets, so we picked one up for about $15, and he loves it. My husband and the kids also ordered the brisket sandwiches, and they all thought they were really good. I tried a bite, but it just wasn't my favorite. Buc-ee's is definitely worth visiting at least once. The atmosphere is impressive, the store is huge, and there's an incredible selection of food, snacks, gifts, and souvenirs. I just wish my experience with the jerky had been better because I left feeling disappointed that it didn't satisfy the craving I'd been looking forward to.
