They gave my kitten an bad infection!!!…read moreWhen I initially took my kitty in for pre spay shots, my kitty was extremely calm sitting on the table as they overlooked her and handled her. They even mentioned how well mannered she was. They took her in the back for shots and came out and said my kitty bit a vet tech and they were going to have to report us to the health department. Mind you my kitty has never shown aggression before. They also mentioned they had an hard time giving her the shot (finding the vein!) She had a bandage on her arm and when I took it off she was bruised and a nice amount of blood on the bandage. That's alot of blood for a little kitty arm! Of course a cat will bite when you mishandle them like that!!! Not only do they charge an astronomical amount for the spay ($1000+) but they also gave my kitty an infection in the process (caused by them!) and had me pay for it! My poor kitty was extremely lethargic and sickly for over 2 weeks, we were so scared she wasn't going to make it!! They acted like I was the problem, again. I have to pay for their mistakes and they almost killed my kitty. This was nothing but a nightmare and now I tell everyone...stay far away from here!!!

We called ahead to make plans for a burial on a family members farm. During the examination I got the feeling that this may not be her last day. Dr. Mowell suggested that we try some medication to ease her pain. We were able to talk at length with her and were encouraged to see if some medication wouldn't give her a better quality of life. In our brief time here in the area we have used every veterinarian within 20 miles. Today we decided that we would look no further. She did not reccomend expensive testing or lab work. It was simply let's just try this first. She spent quite a bit of time with us and we left her office feeling that we had done the right thing for Angie today. Her charges were surprisingly minimal. Just recently I tried to take my dog for a surgery consult and it took 9 whole days just for the staff to get back with an estimate, even after I called and asked. I was "scheduled" for a surgery date but that seemed to go nowhere too. Luckily my dog has been taken care of already at another practice, but it's unfortunate this practice is run this way and you have to call and constantly be on top of them for anything to go anywhere. This was an unusual situation and most clinics would not have been willing to accept a prescription from an out of town veterinarian. I originally purchased my precious boy Drogon (previously Duke) in October of 2018. Yesterday, my…read moredog passed away, at the young age of 3 years and 9 months, in his sleep due to Chronic Kidney Disease. The issues first started only 3 months after purchasing him from the Longs. He suffered multiple UTIs, incontinence, inappetence, and low energy before I found out the cause. After multiple diagnostic tests including an ultrasound, I was informed that he was born with deformed kidneys. Both kidneys were misshapen and smaller than they should be. Ultimately, at 15 months he presented with Stage 2 Renal Failure (based off his numbers), and was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. I informed the Longs of this to let them know that the litter may have issues (as the Vet said it was congenital defect), and to prevent this tragedy from happening to anyone else. After telling me it was too late for a refund (which I never asked for) they told me they would look into it and find the cause. I called them back to determine the results of their findings, and they just said it wasn't an issue on their end. I informed them of the ultrasound results, and I never heard from them again. It's impossible for it to be anything else, as a puppy that young would have had to been born with the disease. My dog fought for his life for 3 1/2 beautiful years. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, I pray no other dog owners have to suffer through the difficulty of caring for a chronically ill pet. I believe there must be negligent breeding practices occurring for my dog to come to me so ill of health. I had no warning, and there was never any accountability taken.
