A unique experience yesterday for a doctor's office. Dr. Bailey is my vascular surgeon, who is…read morepart of this practice. The office is in an office park near Brandon Regional Hospital. I was there because I thought I might be having a problem with a prior surgery, that thankfully turned out to be nothing. There are two unique things about this office. The office staff from the receptionist to the doctor are all just really really nice cheerful people (Dr. Bailey, Erin, Jennifer, Kat). A friendly greeting on entering, and a wait time of only a few minutes of being seen. What other doctor's office have you ever gone to where you are offered Hershey's Kisses, Dove chocolate, and you are asked several times by different people if you would like a bottle or water or coffee while you wait. After my initial exam I had to wait for Kat, the ultrasound tech, to free up. Dr. Bailey personally asked again if I would like something to drink. I said a coffee would be nice, and a few minutes later Dr. Bailey personally brought me a freshly brewed coffee to enjoy while I waited. I know people won't choose a doctor based on office amenities. So I will add that Dr. Bailey is one of the finest, professional, compassionate, and caring physicians I have ever met. He really knows his specialty. I have had two surgical procedures performed by him as well as several follow ups, and am always impressed. I did have a different vascular surgeon in the past, and that experience led me to switch to Dr. Bailey. He was recommended to me by another wonderful physician, Dr. Uttamchandani, who I trust enough to have taken his recommendation without reservation.

Already disappointed that on my ins site it claims dr ramirez is taking new patients when she is not. So my appt was with a new dr that just started. I confirmed my appt via text on the 13th. Yesterday, the 17th of Dec, they called to tell me they're cancelling my appt because they don't take my ins., even though I verified when I made the appt. Now 2 days prior to appt they suddenly can't see me & I have to go to one of their other offices that are 2x farther away which have no openings til March. Grrrr... When I got home I called back and asked what the actual issue was. Apparently they take UHC but not if it's the medicaid plan. smh. So I called my ins co and had them do a 3-way call to yet another TMG office and was told they do take my plan. wth? So we called again to make an appt, and this time they said they don't. This medical group is completely incompetent.

I went home, but I had high blood pressure and heart rate over 100 so I called the TGH line to find me a doctor and they were great. They knew I needed to get in fast and get blood pressure medicine. The hospital didn't give me any for after I left. I was assigned to Michael Escobar ARNP and he is very professional and has taken very good care of me so far. He's ordering testing I've been needing (I just got insurance). He's been a fine doctor so far, but we haven't butted heads over anything yet. Lol. I don't know how he would act if you disagreed with him on something. That's the reason for the 4 stars is because I don't know him in all situations.

The results was scary and there at hospital they never let me out and doctor Popat came by hospital tell me I have 3 blocked artery and can't go and he said he is surprised about me not having a heart attack yet . He had me stay at hospital and get a heart bypass surgery immediately saving my life. the care I got from him and his staff was incredible and god put him on my care to live . I recommend him for all cardiology related problems as he is superb in heart knowledge and a great doctor with care for his patients.

In the hospital they said they were contacting her hear doctor for tests, on 2 occasions. The tests never took place in the hospital & even though this doctor, was aware of the hospitalizations & requests for tests. Whether or not this doctor took the time to read the reports, I will never know. What I do know, is he did no follow up testing. This lack of regard & respect for his patients, wound my mother in an ambulance, calling ahead to the hospital, to prep an Operating room. They rushed her in, cut off her clothes & put a stint in, ASAP, thus literally saving her life, due to this doctors neglect & disregard for his patients welfare. If you love yourself or anyone with heart issues, I definitely would not recommend this guy. As far as I am concerned he should have lost his license, my mom was minutes from death, thanks doc! What's a girl to do? Thank God for people that know their bodies & the EMT's, that knew their jobs & went above & beyond!
