He looks you directly in the eye when speaking and he personally contacted me to keep me informed about the status of my spouse. He admitted he took his time to ensure nothing was amiss. The care my husband received between him and the staff was optimal. I stayed in the lobby during surgery and they checked in often even providing blankets to accommodate me. There is a vending machine with Tap Pay in the lobby and 2 large single person bathrooms for guests. My husband's incision is one single line and healing nicely. Dr. Nguyen did the surgical procedure under anesthesia and at the hospital most of which was covered by insurance. She reported liaisons were removed biopsy no cancer found probably just due to HPV virus. I was told to follow up with her in a 6months. Last month I called to schedule follow up and asked how much the appointment would cost as Advent was higher than other doctors I had called. I was told they could not tell me until after they went through my insurance. The initial consult with Advent was 50$. I met with Dr. Ngyun for 30 minutes. She examined my anus. Told me I needed another surgery as there were more small liaisons. I told her my general practitioner goes to a surgeon in St Pete who burns off the lesions in office without the need for surgery. I declined her recommendation. Two weeks later I get a bill for 620.00 $ for her 30-minute examination. When I called twice to contest the excessive amount, I was told they billed for the office visit and procedure. I never authorized a procedure they also said she took specimens. Never at any time did she tell me she took specimens. Nor did I consent to an expensive procedure. Again the follow up appointment took only 30 minutes. Now I will have to file complaints with medical board and better business bureau. And see if the new federal law against unexpected excessive billing applies to this case. The scheduling is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to call the morning of to get My appointment time and realized it was at almost 2pm. I hadn't ate for almost 24 hours by the time I got home after procedure. I literally could have went to work, but had to use my PTO for the day where I was laying around hungry and couldn't drink anything. I've been here before, but they had a time and scheduling was better. I will probably look for somewhere else next year.
