Visited for the first time recently and I've now found my new official Dentist! My consultation went great and what gave me more peace of mind is the fact that the Dentist didn't try to upsell me. There were a few "cosmetic" procedures I was interested in, and instead of quickly agreeing and then offering me a procedure even more expensive, he was honest with me: "you don't need that, your teeth look great", "that would be a waste of money". Whatttttt?! Ive certainly had consults with other dental practices and have left with invoices topping 5k - not here. I felt heard, I was confident that I wasn't being taken advantage of or robbed. Even more, the dentist was very gentle and wasn't rough with me at all. I'm so glad I've discovered this practice/dentist and I look forward to being a patient! read more

Dr. Spunde is the best -- and kindest -- dentist I have ever had. I have very sensitive gums, and she takes the time to give me topical anesthesia so I can tolerate the cold water streaming onto them. She also actually called me back when I had a question, which no dentist has ever done. I used to dread going to the dentist, but now I look forward to seeing Dr. Spunde and catching up with her every six months. Bay Area Dental is one of the best dental practices I've been to! The office is clean and welcoming, you can schedule by phone or email, and they have all the latest tools, including a 360 x-Ray machine that is fast and doesn't require all the uncomfortable mouth positioning of the old x-ray machines. The staff were so nice at Bay Area Dental and easy to schedule with. The dentist himself is so nice and calm and made me feel so much better about teeth, after feeling super anxious from my last dentist. This is a roomy office with beautiful views of the area, quick and professional staff, and service focused on quality with empathy. The payment process is seamless. I seem to barely pay anything for my cleanings but YMMV based on insurance. It's easy to set up appointments and I seem to be in and out if there in a jiffy and feeling great from how clean my teeth are and from the positive feedback i get on my progress. OMG! Where do I start, I really wanted to like this dentist as its located near my office. I didn't even get a chance to come in, I made an appointment 2-months in advance, I just called today to confirm my appointment which is still 4-weeks away and was blown away when Valerie (the office manager) said they didn't have me on their schedule. It doesn't end there, she further stated that she could "help me by putting me on their waiting list for the next cancellation". My schedule does not work like that, who sits around waiting for their dentist to call them for an opening. Her position was that she was doing me a favor by "letting me come in for a cleaning" she reiterated that they get "hundreds upon hundreds of call per day where they have to turn patients down". I don't know what fantasy world she's living in but this is a dentist office not the splash mountain roller coaster at Disney Land. I wanted to provide the dentist an opportunity to correct the situation before posting this review, so asked for a call back. Valerie said "they are busy and don't speak to patients". Amazing office, amazing views, and an AMAZING team!!! Though I usually see Dr. Spunde as a patient, I think Dr. Haine is just as great! I was a little reluctant to work with a different doctor, but Judy assured me that Dr. Haine was an incredible dentist, and she definitely is! I'm pretty nervous when it comes to dentistry, but Dr. Haine has a very calming quality about her. She's thorough in her exams and best of all, she does great work. I stumbled across Dr. Spunde on the Delta Dental website and thought I would give her a try because she was close to my job. She was very patient and got me to overcome my fear of the dentist. Everyone I have encountered at Bay Area Dental has been thoroughly professional and efficient with a warm friendly manner, too. I am very happy with Dr. Spunde and Bay Area Dental! All of my potential new patient inquiries and pre-first appointment communications were conducted very easily through brief emails. It's true! All information regarding insurance was exchanged, an appointment time offered and accepted, and questions regarding parking answered without requiring a telephone call. Even the multiple pages of health history and new patient info were completed online before I set foot in the office. That's efficiency! Like so many others, I have to drag myself to the dentist, and I'm jumpy when I get there. My former dentist moved away, so being forced to find a new dentist added to my anxiety. Seeing Valerie's smiling face when I first walked into Bay Area Dental, put me at ease right away. Huong, the hygienist, greeted me warmly, carefully took my X-rays, did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth and assisted Dr. Spunde with my exam. Dr. Spunde treated me respectfully and with courtesy. I appreciated Dr. Spunde's efficient (there's that adjective, again) and straightforward style while delivering the news I need a crown (Ugh!
