The main reason for my surgery was to remove the extra skin from my eye lids. I couldn't have imagined such a great result. I'm so happy. Top it off with the fact that my daily headaches from eye strain and constantly lifting my brows are gone!!! Such a life changing outcome. The staff is amazing and will take such great care of you both before and after the surgery. They answered all of my questions, no matter how many I had. One recommendation, if you're going to make the investment in a surgery like this, follow their pre and post op instructions to the letter! If they say stop taking supplements, stop. From my very first phone call, consultation, follow-up emails, video calls, and scheduling, every single person has been attentive, efficient, kind, and incredibly responsive. Dr. Tom has surrounded himself with an amazing team. I never once felt forgotten, hurried, or like my questions were a bother. I had a conscious sedation, or "awake," tummy tuck with liposuction to my abdomen and flanks. Because we live out of the area, I had several calls and video visits with the office before surgery. By the time I arrived, I felt completely relaxed and well informed. My questions had been answered, my labs were complete, and I already had my medications in hand. The entire process was incredibly organized. Surgery day could not have gone more smoothly. I had no complications or complaints and was completely comfortable. I actually napped on and off throughout the procedure! The entire surgical team made me feel safe, relaxed, and very well cared for. The post-op care has been just as impressive. Dr. Tom personally stayed in contact with both my husband and me the day of surgery and the following day, and we were given his personal cell phone number in case we had any concerns or urgent needs. On my second night post-op, I developed a mild fever of 100.9°. My husband called Dr. Tom at 8:30 that evening, and he answered his cell phone immediately. He was incredibly kind and reassuring, talked us through what was happening, and gave us advice on what to do. Thankfully, everything was fine and it was simply my body reacting to everything it had been through. Dr. Tom then called the next morning to check on me and offered to have me come into the office if I wanted to be seen. That experience really drove home that when he gives you his personal number and tells you to call if you need him, he means it. I'm now post-op day five and am still receiving a daily text checking on my progress. That level of care means so much. And the results... WOW. I know I'm only five days post-op and several months away from seeing my final result, but I already could not be happier. I can see beautiful definition in my waist and a flat stomach, even this early in the healing process. For anyone wondering about my starting point, I'm 5'2", was 124 pounds going into surgery, and would consider myself to have an athletic build. My trouble areas have always been my "mom pouch" and love handles, where I tended to carry any extra weight. At 46 years young, I finally decided to do this as a gift to myself. I had wanted a tummy tuck for the better part of 15 years. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. My rewards for the suntanning are; every three month body checks for cancer cells (which the prior office refused. 6 month checks only), Mohs surgery every month or every other month, Blue Light treatment to deter cancer twice a year, and correct skin care. Yes, I loved tan!! I have had the "m" word (melanoma) on four different areas of my body. Because of the 3 month body checks the melanoma is diagnosed immediately. If Dr. Hayes leaves the current office, I leave with her. Let's hope she moves to Paris, Fr. (there IS a Paris, TX, not to be confused with THE PARIS!).
