I had an upper and lower bleph as well as a brow lift done by Dr. Lacombe just before Thanksgiving. I went to Dr. Lacombe because my primary care doctor recommended him. The main reason for my surgery was to remove the extra skin from my eye lids. I couldn't have imagined such a great result. I'm so happy. Top it off with the fact that my daily headaches from eye strain and constantly lifting my brows are gone!!! Such a life changing outcome. The staff is amazing and will take such great care of you both before and after the surgery. They answered all of my questions, no matter how many I had. Dr Lacombe and all his staff are wonderful. I had a lower face and neck lift with a CO2 Laser on my face and laser on my chest. Dr Lacombe talked to me in great detail about the whole procedure. The surgical nurse was very kind and put me at ease. The anesthesiologist called before my surgery and talked to me again right before . He called me the night I got home to make sure all was well. Dr. Lacombe insisted I needed an an additional procedure - which I did not need. What a gross costly mistake. I paid Lacombe $6,400 and then an additional $4,000 to to an Ocular Plastic Surgeon to get his chop job fixed. I looked better BEFORE Lacombe's surgery. I ended up with one, crazy, wide open eye (all white showing around entire right eye). I knew something was wrong and went to SEVERAL times to complain and ask that he fix the wide open, crazy, popping eye look. He would not take ANY responsibility. He kept telling me that it was either in my head, since "they look the same," he said, or that I was "Intentionally making my right eye pop out!" Who intentionally would try and look like this?? People typically grimace or shake their head. They ALWAYS ask who did the surgery to AVOID going to a butcher. One of my clients actually said that it looked like Dr. Frankenstein operated on me. He did not even know where to cut for an upper blepharoplasty (I have visible scars above the crease line (where he should have cut). One year later, still scary looking. Several other professional other doctors and plastic surgeons confirmed it was done badly and that I needed to go to a specialist (Ocular Plastic Surgeon), to get it fixed -- if possible. It has been a horrific and humiliating experience. Imagine walking around and working with a wide open, protruding, pop eye. The eye is dry and hurts all the time. I went through vials and vials of re-wetting drops. Thankfully, last week I had my eye repaired by the Ocular Plastic surgeon. I'm still healing, but my eye looks normal again! I came to Dr Lacombe for my headaches and I know that's not guaranteed but that's not. Why am writing. I still have my headaches, but he ended up putting the needle close to my eyebrow and my eye is droopy. I have called them. Several times told them that I was leaving. My daughter was getting married in Hawaii and they did not care whatsoever.!!! Well, that was a month and 10 days ago and my eye still is droopy and you could actually see the lid of your left die and it's hard to really see like you should see when you're driving They do not get back to you whatsoever and then finally I got somebody and she said oh well you'll have to come in to see him but I'm in Hawaii. I'm been going to see Dr. Lacombe for a couple of years now. I've been getting fillers for years and have been injected by many surgeons and derms. I originally heard of Dr. Lacombe from a women I met, who had perfectly gorgeous lips. She told me that Dr. Lacombe had injected her. Lips are very tricky and it takes a highly skilled, trained surgeon to inject properly. I've had my lips injected many times and no one in the area compares. Many Plastic Surgeons are not injecting fillers anymore or don't inject often. Dr. Lacombe is the exception and does lots of filler injections, stays on top of the latest techniques, newest fillers and teaches other surgeons his techniques. Dr. Lacombe has a special camera that captures your image in 3-d. From this image he is able to determine what areas of your face need contouring and filling. He takes a great deal of time to fully go over the pictures with you to determine where the fillers should be placed to achieve the best results. If you are going for fillers in fine lines and lips, be prepared for a novocaine injection. It's not a big deal and makes it easier for him to work in this area. He's caring, skilled, precise and very honest. He'll tell you what looks good and what does not. I've been very pleased after each visit. He he has also corrected overfilled areas from other doctors. His staff is wonderful. No waiting time and they are always available to answer any questions. I highly recommend his practice, regardless where you live in the Bay Area. Dr.Lacombe is very kind. The receptionists always appear to enjoy their jobs, and have worked around my crazy work and commuting schedule (Sonoma to SR during rush hour). The only negative is that the price of my tattoo removal sessions seem crazy high for less than a 1" x 1" tattoo ($75/session). I suppose I'm at my 15th session by now, and it's still there! Had a consultation 6 moths ago to get pricing and information on a TATTOO removal. They gave me a quote of $375. I decided not to move forward with treatment. Current day: saw an ad for $75 a session, called the office to confirm pricing, received confirmation and scheduled my appointment. I also let them know I had been seen before and she said not to worry as the pricing has changed. Went in for my appointment, and was told by an extremely rude nurse my pricing was still the same as 6 months before at $375. I questioned as to why they have the ad, and why was my time wasted for an appointment? She replied rudely they have 5 people who answer the phone and they are all not trained. Great!! I had a primary rhinoplasty done by Dr. Lacombe about 6 years ago I just want to share my experience now that I am about to undergo another surgery from a different surgeon to fix what Dr. Lacombe ruined. I initially went to Dr. Lacombe because a family friend had her nose done by him and it was similar to mine and I loved how hers looked so I booked a consultation where he took pictures and showed me what my nose would look like when it's done. I was happy with what we decided on, meanwhile of course understating it wasn't going to be 100% like the picture. Fast forward 6 months later I had thought about and decided to take the plunge so I called and made the appt to get the surgery. The morning of surgery they told me what was going to happen blah blah blah and it wasn't until I had to ask to see dr. Lacombe (because it has been 6 months and wanted to make sure we were still on the same page?) when his staff made it seem like an inconvenience for him to talk to me before the surgery. Honestly at that moment I should have RAN but unfortunately didn't. Fast forward again a week after my surgery to have my cast removed- this was supposed to be the best moment of my life but instead it was horrible. When he removed the cast I immediately looked in the mirror and said "it looks like a slope" and he replied to "well that's what you wanted" which indeed I did NOT want. He told me swelling would subside and change which I knew, but a year later I dreaded looking into the mirror. Then I noticed scar tissue had formed inside my nose that started to stick out so I called the office to get it removed. I had an appt which the nurses told me would take less than 30 minutes so I was able to go on my lunch break... well I ended up sitting in the office waiting for Dr. Lacombe to come for an hour and a half!!! The nurse kept coming in saying he should be in shortly and he never came. Eventually I just walked out and never looked back. I have struggled breathing through my nose ever since- with the incredibly pinched tip, scar tissue, I cannot get a good breath in or out my nose leading to a lot of anxiety. Along with the inside issues I absolutely HATE the way it looks and I can't wait to have it fixed again. I just want to share my story so the next person who decides to visit this surgeon can do more research than I did. read more

Jessica Friedman has been doing my filler for 5 years. I started getting filler after losing significant weight. I researched the top plastic surgeons and found Jessica through one of them. Much to my chagrin, I am a hypochondriac so I was really nervous and scared about the idea of injections. Since seeing Jessica, I have regrettably gone to a few other people (who supposedly were the best too) but did not have good experiences. I either looked "done" and uneven or bruised badly. Once I hyperpigmented under my eye and was swollen for weeks. Needleless to say, after that experience I follow Jessica between the two offices ( Santa Rosa ( LaCombe) and San Francisco ( Barnett). I used to drive 3 hours out of my way to see her but am thankfully back in her area. This is what makes Jessica the best around: She gives you a natural look and would try to talk you out of looking like octomom. If you want to look like Michael Jackson she is not your woman. People don't know I get anything done and I'd like to keep it that way. I marvel her accuracy and even application of filler. She has never bruised me with the exception of my lips which bruise VERY easily. However the bruising on my lips was not bad ( coverable with gloss), especially compared to what I've seen my friends end up with. Egads! Jessica does the BEST lips ever! This is hard to find because lips swell so bad and if they aren't done right you will look like a freak! She is patient and deals well with my illogical, high maintenance self and doesn't make me feel like I'm annoying or crazy ( I can be both). This review is for the RN Jessica Friedman I have been seeing Jessica for 6 years for Botox and Juvederm injections about twice a year and cannot recommend her enough. She is very professional and gentle and spends a considerable amount of time looking at my face to see where needs a touch up and where to best leave alone. I have never experienced any bruising or inflammation from any treatment and I bruise VERY easily. I have also never had to go back for any corrections. The results always look very fresh and natural and I get complemented all the time on my skin and how young I look. I will be turning 40 this year and have that very fair complexion that ages quickly. I started getting lines around my eyes in my early 20's and parenthesis round my mouth and loss of volume in my cheeks in my early 30's. The regular touch ups have filled out the volume loss and have definitely kept the wrinkles at bay. Even right after Botox the result are very natural, not frozen, with a smooth face and brow and just a few little lines round my eyes, that look totally age appropriate. I think this has been a great investment. I know I would be considerable more wrinkly and saggy without Jessica's skill and attention to detail. Please do your homework whenever considering any type of procedure that could have permanent ramifications to your face. I visited Dr. Lacombe before Yelp was popular, and I did not know what I was walking into. His office staff was very reassuring about his expertise on lasers. He lasered my face to remove some flat-head warts, and the results were much worse than the warts themselves... Which probably would have gone away by themselves eventually. He used a very high setting on the laser which left me with very noticeable and permanent white scarring. Years later, I have spent thousands of dollars trying to correct his mistake. Had he just informed me of the potential for permanent damage I would have reconsidered other treatment options. read more

I went to this skin spa expecting professional help in choosing a skin care approach that would yield concrete results. It was suggested that a "peel" that was promised to produce a reduction in fine lines on the surface of my skin be used. It was not the least expensive of the choices, but sounded like it would definitely produce results. "This will definitely make you peel within a few days". This service cost nearly $200 and took about 5 minutes to apply. When I had no noticable response wirhin the timeline I was given...I went back. I was then told that "peeling" COULD be a byproduct of a peel (huh?)....but that no guarantees were made. It was then suggested that I purchase a skin brush ( only another $200) and another higher level peel, that would certainly produce results (ONLY another $200). I originally made the appt., but started to become concerned when after the second week I still had not produced the results I was told to expect. I called the manager to discuss my appt and their commitment to their products and services. I was rather rudly dismissed and then told that the "peels" (which are not peels) should be done in a series of several at about $200 a piece. I WAS SLOW TO CATCH ON.....BUT NOW I GET IT! I would never go back to this office and I WILL pursue skin care from a more reputable and client oriented provider. read more

I have recently utilized Dr. Lacombe, based on references from several people, my experiences are not at all comparable to another extremely experienced "facial plastic surgeon" in the Santa Rosa/Healdsburg area...my injections of both botox and fillers were ,in fact, inferior. The fillers I had around my lip area were not only inflammatory but the injection sites are still, after 4 weeks, red and lumpy...I would be not return for any further procedures nor would I recommend him to anyone. Be careful what you are signing when you schedule your surgery. I cancelled my surgery the night before the scheduled day and Dr. Lacombe kept over half of my fees which came to over $10,000 of my money which he took two weeks to return to me after I kept calling the office asking for my money back. I work for a Dr. also and he would never do this to one of his patients. I can understand keeping a reasonable fee for a last minute cancellation, but not this much money. Dr. Lacombe appears to be a very caring doctor, however, after 8+ months from my initial restylane treatment from him, I am still suffering from granulomas that are difficult to cover up with makeup. He used Kenalog to treat some which then killed the fat and atrophied the skin in that area. In other areas he use hyaluronidase which helped somewhat, but the lumps are still there. In addition, a new line has fomed arouned one of the laugh lines that was never there before. Could it be from atrophy of the skin from Kenalog? At this point, I wish I could get everything fixed, but am afraid to trust anyone. read more

Dr. Lacombe did a lower face lift and a brow lift on me nearly two years ago, and I continue to be delighted with the results. He is an exceptional surgeon. Being double board certified (ENT and Facial Plastics) gives him an edge over his peers when it comes to face work. He specializes in faces, and does not do any body work. I see a lot of lower face lift results with the kind of business I have, and I often talk with people who are less than satisfied with their results from surgeons other than Dr. Lacombe. Usually it is that their neck is not as smooth and tight as they had hoped. Especially, if the appearance of your neck is a concern, do yourself a favor and choose Dr. Lacombe. All his face work is excellent. I can't even find my incision lines as they are so smooth and hidden. He is a gifted artist when it comes to the face. People are surprised when I tell them I have had work done, because my results are very natural looking. The down time was minimal. Five days post-op, my face was still a little bruised and swollen, but I felt good enough to return to work. By two weeks post op, the bruising and swelling had virtually resolved. I went in for a botox consultation, would have been my first time getting it. I'm 30 and I get these bunched up muscles in my forehead. This was my only complaint. I wanted to only get that part of my forehead done, which he thought was absolutely absurd. He wanted to freeze my whole face! Which is understandable, because his entire face is frozen. He has no movement in the upper half of his face, so when he smiles he looks like a murderous psychopath. AND HE WANTED ME TO LOOK THAT WAY TOO!! I have no lines on my forehead or crows feet but he wanted to freeze them up to prevent any from showing up.
