We really enjoyed our lunch at Bay Breeze Cafe, Bar and Grill today. We ended up getting some of the Tomato and Corn Bisque which was amazing and then for entrees had the Apple Bacon and Brie grilled cheese and Shrimp and Connecuh sandwich which were both delicious. Just as importantly though the service was top notch. We got there a little bit early right in the 10:30-11 break, but they were still able to go ahead and seat us to get out of the sun. They were also super friendly with my oldest son who was eating with us. read more

I love Bay Breeze Cafe! The food is delicious and their current spaces are so comfortable. However, it is the servers that really set this place apart for me. I arrived 10 minutes early, before they were open. I was perfectly happy to sit outside and wait. However, one of the servers getting the restaurant ready for the day, insisted she bring me something to drink while I waited. How nice! Then I realized I had gotten my time for meeting my friend wrong by 30 minutes! No stress she said. I never felt like an imposition or burden. My friend came and we had a delicious lunch that lasted two hours! Wow. The place was full, but I watched to be sure we didn't take room someone else needed. Was fairly full inside. The o hot to sit outside. They have a beautiful deck and much in fall I will revisit. I had street corn soup and much was not a hit for me as the cream was broken. The chicken salad and sweet potato fries were good. My lunch mate had a sandwich which she enjoyed. The service was good and because of that I will return. read more

Absolutely obsessed with this cafe. We order here at LEAST once a week. Salads are huge and delicious. We are still obsessed with the jacked up Philly but on a Hoagie roll. The food was good. The wait on our food was about 40 minutes. We think our order got misplaced so it was a bit longer than normal. I finally asked the waitress and once she went back into the kitchen it was another 10-15 minutes before our food came up. The atmosphere was good. Live music being played. I had a shrimp salad and my husband had a cheese burger wrap. We ate at lunch time. The wait staff were attentive and pleasant. read more

Tomato basil soup is a must-have at this hidden gem! Beyond that, we have tried several items including the Thai Chicken Sammie...have yet to have a bad wrap, usually large enough to split. Not a fan of the potato salad, but am biased to my Gram's, and other folks love it. I am not scared to order anything off this diverse, but comfortable menu. This place has great sandwiches, salads, soups and baked goods, reasonable prices with service like a kind aunt Tami g care of you at her house. "Here honey, try the crawfish bisque soup of the day to make sure you want it." The bisque was fabulous, by the way. It all looked so good that we had a hard time choosing. I ended up with the tomato bisque with toasted corn and blue cheese...which was amazing! Had the shrimp and fried green tomato wrap which was also very good. My friend ordered the salami and provolone panini with a side salad and was very happy. We split a slice of key lime cake which was so moist with excellent not-very-sweet icing. What's-her-name and I selected this little cafe from its Yelp reviews and were glad that we searched it out from among the many in Fairhope's shopping district.** Not fancy but honest and done very well. ** Intended to appeal to women; not so much to men. Relax; just stating a self evident fact. Forced to deduct one star since one was seen in the kitchen without a mask during this COVID-19 pandemic. We were lucky to quickly find an empty table near noontime. Consider arriving a little early or late for a better chance of immediate seating. read more

Tried this newer restaurant for the first time this weekend and I'm so glad to we did! I got the shrimp and sausage sandwich and added LTOP and it was GREAT! The fries were just perfect with a side of ranch, and the potato salad was very fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes don't look great in pictures, but I left feeling full and had more than enough food. Service was great and overall was a very good experience. We'll definitely be back! read more

This is tough because this is a super cute, locally-owned cafe. The location is perfect for tromping all over the town. Everything is very good here. If you do anything, get the corn chowder!!! The desserts are home-made and the wraps are huge. When it is us gals we get a cup of soup and share a wrap. Sometimes the service is off so I hold a star for that. We came to Fairhope on our trip around Mobile Bay. We were searching for a breakfast location and finally stood in front of the Bay Breeze Cafe. They weren't officially open yet but we were served anyway right away. The staff is so sweet and we were sitting outside on the terrace enjoining the lovely weather. The coffee is to die for! I asked the waitress how she does it and they add just a bit of cinnamon, I am going to so copy that at home!! I had the ham and Brie sandwich and my husband the Cajun shrimp wrap. And it was incredibly good. They kinda add some nice twists to the food with their dressings and ingredients and it was the perfect stuff to get us going that day. The view was nice and gave us a good start in the day in and around Fairhope and we will be absolutely coming back to the cafe!! read more

Perfect cafe lunch. I was craving a salad after eating too much Thanksgiving food and found this cafe. I ordered a caesar salad with chicken and a cup of the tomato & corn bisque. The salad was huge and they grilled the chicken when I ordered it so it was hot and moist. Very fresh and filling. I ended up halving the salad and eating the rest for dinner. Don't miss out on the delicious bisque either. I took my meal to-go but they do have some tables inside and many more outside for sidewalk dining. This restaurant is probably my favorite in the Fairhope, AL area. The atmosphere is a bit odd and cramped, but the food and service are absolutely stellar. My sister and I had to leave a $10 tip because our waitress was so kind and catered to our every need. The food is simply amazing. It is very filling as well. They give you plenty of portions. One of my top 3 restaurants I've had in Fairhope. Bay Breeze is a nice little cafe that's great for lunch. The owner is very nice and friendly. I came here twice in two weeks and enjoyed the delicious portobello melt both occasions. Maybe it's just my love for mushrooms but this wrap is up there as one of my favorite meals I've had. If you're in a time crunch, call in and order first. They accommodate you well. Their pies looked amazing, but I never ordered it. One of my regrets during my time in Fairhope. read more
