Our initial plan was to replace the countertops in 2 of our home's bathrooms. I contacted Parkmeade and it took 3 phone calls before someone got back to me. If you want a laminate install, you will need to find your own contractor to purchase, pick up and install- there prices for the product were competitive but after receiving quotes from several contractors, we decided to change the countertops to another material. We received another quote but they required that all sink and hardware be removed even before they come and measure. Three other companies we contacted did not require this. We had a few more questions and they never responded. Didn't appear they were interested in our business. read more

I was rearranging my office, and I brought them a countertop and I asked them to shorten it and finish the end with an approximately matching laminate end cap. This is something that a lot of shops might not want to bother with. They gave me a reasonable estimate and because they were very busy, it took about ten days, but they were up front about that. They're busy because they do good work at reasonable prices. I am very pleased with the result. I will definitely bring future laminate work to them! read more

Being a detail-oriented person, I feel the need to first clarify that Corian and Caesarstone are not laminates, as the only other reviewer here states in his nearly nonexistent, one-sentence review. I found Parkmead not on Yelp (a tragedy--they deserve mega-recognition!) but on the Dupont site when looking for Corian and Zodiaq dealers. I came to the showroom primarily to check out the Corian products but was very pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed to find *extensive* laminate selections, as well as quartz (Silestone, Caesarstone, Zodiaq) plus Corian, Staron, and another one or two imitators. Parkmead also builds cabinets, and the designers/staff members really enjoy the design process. The showroom is tiny, and it really packs in the options. Don't be fooled by the size; there are thousands of samples packed in there, plus helpful and experienced staff to answer questions and offer opinions and suggestions. The owner, Gus, was there on all three of my visits. OK, his name is really Oscar, but in my mind he is Gus for some reason. I mean that as a compliment. He's been there at that location for close to 40 years, and you can tell from your very friendly and easy conversation with him that he loves providing service and quality to his customers. Building the relationship is part of his charm--as is his somewhat peculiar inclination to give hugs. Oscar/Gus and his staff will offer opinions if you ask but not be pushy. They do seem to really like Corian and using its personalization possibilities to its fullest, like building in funky counter trivets and adding other sleek or funky design elements, something I did not get from other showrooms I visited. This is very valuable, seeing the full design possibilities of a versatile surface. Also, you can check out large samples library-style, which is an especially nice feature when picking out a multi-thousand-dollar job for your home. Overall I'm finding my kitchen remodel to be by far the most stressful and complicated of my home projects. So many factors and considerations, so much expense. I've been extremely pleased to find that every place I've visited has been 100% professional and service oriented, Parkmead of course one. And they gave me very competitive bids on Corian and Ceasarstone. Should I hire them for this project, I have no doubt I'd get top-notch, expert installation. If I do not I would still consider them for future home projects and would send in friends. read more

As another reviewer mentioned, Parkmead doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be dissuaded. I needed a custom table top for my work studio and checked out a couple of other places before finding Parkmead on Yelp. I brought in my measurements, and Oscar, the owner, helped me design the table on the spot. I picked my laminate from their huge selection, paid my deposit, and within the promised 2 weeks I had my table top and it looked great! (Thanks, Raleigh.) Sadly, we had an accident with an over-enthusiastic power drill (or maybe it was the driller) when installing the legs at home. We called Oscar, who seemed as bummed as we were, figured out a solution, dropped off the table, and in TWO DAYS I had it back, looking beautiful again. I love their skilled craftsmanship and very personal customer service. Everyone I dealt with was great, especially Oscar and Marcella. I now find myself looking around the house for other projects that will give me an excuse to go back. read more

Words cannot describe the great service I got at Parkmead Products. I did not want to go back to the corian people I had used years ago, so I googled countertops and Marcella answered the phone at Parkmead. Oscar greeted me like family when I first arrived, Marcella stepped me through all of the corian choices and I am now the happy owner of a nice new countertop in my bathroom. From the paperwork to the installation (sorry, I did not get the name of the efficient installer), the staff was helpful, professional and always responsive. These people are fantastic. I was hoping for a new kitchen counter top within budget; what I got was a masterfully crafted counter top that was fabricated to fit perfectly, These guys are craftsmen. Oscar and his staff were great! I had an old 3' x 4' kitchen table and wanted the old formica table top replaced. My wife and I must have made 4 trips or more to their shop to try to pick out the right color and finish. They have so many samples to choose from. They were so patient and helpful. The table had a leaf and I asked Oscar to lay the formica over the entire table so that it was one piece with no table seams. Not only did they complete the job sooner than expected, they cut a whole new table top for us, with no extra charge, and then laid the formica over it. It was much stronger he said. The table is beautiful and we were very pleased. We would highly recommend this company to others. read more

This shop appears modest from the outside but inside they know what they're doing. We bought 2 custom Silestone counter tops and one laminate counter top from Marcella. We are thoroughly happy with the results, especially the laminate which was a complicated corner unit. If we need any more counters we'll definitely contact Marcella. read more
