I have been going to Danny from the time I got home from the military...USAF 1991, Danny has done maintenance and repairs on my bikes for many many moons.. He and his mechanics are specialists. Harley- sportbikes- off road etc. Danny knows his shit... I only stopped going to him because I moved away... but literally getting my bike on a trailer to bring it up to him because no one around me can fix it... Ignore that BS review. I have been going to Dan for twenty years and if he can fix it with a zip tie and a hammer he will rather than buy you expensive parts. Tried another guy the other day and was getting ripped off, Told Dan and he had me bring the bike in Unscheduled during the busy season. Fixed the bike for half the price. 1) The shops location is a bit out-of-the-way for anybody that doesn't live in Bayonne. 2) said that they were going to call me before they did any work to price everything out and did not. 3) had my bike for three weeks before they did any work when it was a simple enough job just to get it done. 4) I am now having problems with battery. Could be all coincidental but I have to buy a new one. 5) they messed up my Neutral. It's harsh going into all the gears and most of the time misses Neutral all together. I took it back only riding it 3 block from their shop and they brushed it off like it was the lever adjustment that was off. They guy seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with my concerns. It's been months since I got the bike back and I still have these problems and cannot not ride safely. 6) said they would check codes for me and didn't until the day I went to pick it up and asked about it. 7) over charged the hell out of me for something simple that I would have done myself in my garage. All-in-all if you live in Bayonne And have a Harley Ok. If not don't go. get ripped off by a closer mechanic or find better mechanic. read more

Just got my first bike in 45 years, a 2009 Vulcan 500, at a good price, but you never know whether a used bike will be good or a lemon. Did some research and found that there was a repair facility in my home town! It's great that I can get there in no time, but what good would this be if the shop was crap? Very happy that this is not the case. Danny and his guys at Bay Cycle are the best! When I brought my bike in for the first time, Danny took me right in, spent time going over everything, filled the fluids, adjusted the pedals for me, tightened and lubed the chain, took it for a test drive and gave me the thumbs up. Charged me a VERY REASONABLE FEE for his time. I've been back a couple of times since, always encountering Danny and his crew as friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I'm lucky to have such a great shop in my town, but I would come here no matter how far away I lived from Bayonne. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Stay away. After taking my bike their to get the carbs cleaned, I still had problems with the bike. I took the bike to another shop and they showed me the carbs that Bay Cycle said they cleaned. They were filthy. In short they charged me for work they never did. read more

I first took my bike to Danny after I dropped it over Father's Day weekend. He and his staff had my bike up and running in a day as good as new. Unlike some of the bigger garages You can call them on a Saturday morning and they will tell you bring it on down. You can sit and talk while they work on your bike or go to the Italian buffet restaurant around the corner. I brought my bike in because I was leaking coolant. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by Louis. He was very helpful and forthcoming with what I may possibly be facing. Then I met Danny. All I can say about him is that he is awesome. From the moment he saw my bike he recited the bikes history from that previous owner. He is a walking computer. I have serviced multiple bikes there, a ducati monster, a kawasaki w650 and a couple of others. Always friendly and professional, willing to provide advice to newbies and oldies alike, genuine understanding and love for all motorcycles. Over three years now, I have not seen them try to make a quick buck, they just do the required service or fix and price reasonably. Have recommended them in person as well. I don't understand the filtered reviews, seems harsh to me as most filtered reviews are four or five stars as I'd expect. Do yourself a favor and read those as well, at least a couple ring true to me. read more

I was one of the bikes they took in after Hurricane Sandy. Since my bike was not water damaged, I got to the head of the line. They installed a Power Commander, fuse block, Givi hard case rails (including some fabrication since my tidy tail removed a support rail), installed heated grips ,rewired some accessories and straighttend my fan mount that had been bent by a low speed drop. I also had enjoyed talking to Danny. He's a real rider and he encouraged me to do some longer touring, which I am, this month (2,200 miles in a week). read more

Called and immediately thought this guy knows my bike. He understood the location of components and went through some solutions. My bike would not start and did not make any sound when trying. Made an appointment. 2 minutes into the shop, Dan said did you try the solenoid on the right lever when we spoke on the phone? Duh! I really wasn't listening and I don't know anything about electrical issues but, again....my wife would agree....I wasn't listening. Well. I did it. It started! He did not want any payment for the professional knowledge he had provided once over the phone and again in the shop. An old school businessman in the best of ways. He is a real motorcycle aficionado and has a strong appreciation for all types of bikes. His shop is packed with bikes. It's clean and his crew are all helpful. when to danny over 30 years or longer .he knows how to fix & tune up any bike.he is also a great guy, he will not rip you off,he tells you straight whats wrong with bike and how much it will cost.he will fix any harley honda,jawa,vincent,yamaha,well if it has 2 wheels and a motor,i am 100% sure danny can get it up & running.once you get to know him he is a great guy very honest.he is the only decent shop i trust in this area,or any area. only bad thing he is closed on mondays ;) a few of my good pals bring there bikes there.i bring my there ,i would not trust any other shop.want your bike to go fast bring it to bay cycle if you have the cash,he will make it have plenty horsepower.he is a good man .ride safe tell people watch out for motorcycles ,ride ride ride!!!!! robert nesnay read more
