Call ahead to confirm inventory. Website has a "In Stock" and "Brochure" listing which inflates perception of stock...this is populated out to sites like Cycle Trader. For example - CT appeared they had 21 Spyder 2020 leftovers and the reality...there was only 2. This is a deceptive practice many dealers employ to lure you in. The best dealers keep their online inventory integrity accurate so the customer is not mislead. Bay Harbor should change this deceptive practice especially in the world of online sales. read more

My older Zephyr stopped charging Took it to these guys ( my local shop ) fully expecting to pay a few bucks for a stator or something equally bad , got a call a few days later , all fixed , stator simply came unplugged / disconnected. This place is probably the Worst dealership around. Please don't shop here unless you want to be yelled at and harassed by the people that work here and the owner himself! They refuse to fix my brand new jetski (which I purchased from them) which is under a warranty till 2021. I've called the Sea Doo brand customer service and filed a complaint against them. 8 weeks and I'm still waiting for my jetski to be fixed. Every time I call they yell at me and say that they aren't going to fix it for me....??? I'm so confused! Never before with other dealerships have I experienced anything close to this! Usually dealerships are nice and honest to their customers, NOT this place! Please save yourself the anguish I went through and shop elsewhere! Don't waste your time with these idiots. First off, they wouldn't give me any pricing over the phone. (when shopping for the best price on a bike, the phone is the only way to go.) Went in anyway, and offered $7,000 on a 2013 vulcan 900 custom, $300 less then the best price I got shopping over the phone. the salesman Dean said YES and got me started on the paper work. After sitting there for 20-30 minutes, he tells me my credit is approved, and here's your deal, your getting an extended warranty and riding gear, and your payment is $130 a month for 2 years at 11.99% APR, just sine here. I tell him I don't want any of that, I want the out the door price we discussed and nothing else. He goes in the back for another 10 minutes. While he's gone I grab his calculator and do some math 24x130= $3,120, and think WTF ? that's not even 1/2 the price of the bike, hows that work? So after waiting some more, Vinny comes out from the back with Dean, to tell me how great an extended warranty is, and if I bend a rim or blow out a tire, I'll get a free one, and it will pay for itself. I tell him I'm not interested in anything but the bottom line. And he comes back with, "If you don't buy the warranty, I can't sell you the bike at that price." The best he can do is$7,600 , I counter offered $7,300 We go back and forth for a few minutes, and he says NO , the best he can do is $7,600, and I walk out the door. Every time you do a credit application it puts a bad mark on your score, and they ran mine, without selling me a bike. The very next day I get a call back from Bruce at prospect power sports. He tells me he's out of the 2013 left overs and has a 2014 he can sell for $7,500 out the door. When I went in to the shop, he explained that the 11.99% APR was only for 2 years, and after that it would double if I didn't pay it off in 2 years. And minimum payment is $130, and I need to pay more then that to pay it off in 2 years. And when I told him I didn't want an extended warranty he didn't push the matter. He was upfront about everything, and the price he gave me over the phone was the price I got. Payed $100 less then Staten Island, for a bike that was a year newer, and in a better color :) read more

It's OK to buy a bike on Staten Island again! This dealership has changed. I bought my last two new bikes in Brooklyn due to bad experiences on Staten Island over the years. Truthfully, I only walked into this showroom to see the new bikes fully expecting to go to Brooklyn when the time came to make my purchase. Slim, my salesman, was very knowledgeable and personable but not pushy. He answered my questions, gave me numbers, and did not try one of those "this offer is only good until tomorrow" strategies that we all hate so much. Over several trips to the shop before and after making the purchase (while I waited for the bike to be shipped to the showroom) I got to meet and speak with the new owner, Vincent, his brother, Steve, the parts Manager, John, and another sales guy names Shane. Everyone was friendly and overall, the experience was good. I really like how Vincent has turned this shop around. Even though I am not always the easiest customer to deal with (Vincent will tell you), I found Vincent and Slim professional and courteous at all times. I had some minor concerns and issues along the way - after all, nothing and noone is perfect (nothing worth mentioning) but they were all addressed reasonably and promptly. I am happy to recommend this shop to my fellow Staten Islanders and I honesly say it's now OK to shop for your new bike on Staten Island again. read more

I bought a Honda CB500 from here. I gave them a check and they wanted me to wait 3-4 days to clear....No problem. The salesman said they would get the bike prepped in those days. I expressed my concern about the age of the battery, and they stated that it would be new. Also the windshield was missing, and I was told they removed it to prevent any damage, and it would be installed before I picked it up. I came back 5 days later to pick it up, and it was still in the same place and untouched. No prep. I waited 4 hours for them to prep it and install the windshield. Guess what, no windshield. They had lost it. I had borrowed a truck so I had to take it there and then. They assured me they would send me the windshield. I waited a month and still no windshield, so I went to a different Honda dealership near me and ordered one. They had it in 2 days . So I sent the bill to Bay Harbor, and they wouldn't give me the money, and only offered me the wholesale price money no retail. I eventually had to take the lesser amount. Now I wanted the hardware to put it on. The manager sent me a few screws in an envelope that had opened in the mail. I was still missing parts. I called several times and texted them. The manager assured me that they were sent and welcomed me to the Honda family. They never arrived. Also the battery didn't last as it was from 2105. Never, ever, ever believe these people, and if they are my Honda family, then I want a divorce!!!! read more

Wanted to drive to New York to pick up a 140 G because the price was $2214.00 . I assumed there would be approx $500-700 in fees giving me a total of under $3000. I asked for a simple estimate as I would be making a 6 hour trip to pick up. The person on the phone was very rude and said he couldn't give me an estimate on the fees but said to bring $4000 cash and I might leave with some change. Well... They are $4000 here so I may as well pick one up locally. Heck I wouldn't give this company a dime as they are so rude. I mean... don't they sell hundreds of items? Wouldn't they be able to give you a guesstimate. No Just tell you The fees are double the price after you get there and probably charge you a credit card fee because you didn't bring enough cash with you because they wouldn't give you a Guestimate on price. The experience that I had with Sales Rep Sherif was beyond phenomenal. I came in looking for Honda Cb300F, allowed me to get on the bike, explained to me what I should be looking for when it comes down to my first motorcycle, and somehow I ended up with a brand new Honda CB500F w/ ABS. So far, I've ridden the bike for more than 100miles and its way better than I expected. He was able to help me out with a great deal that I couldn't refuse and answered all my questions in the right manner, not one bad look displaying annoyance, and definitely did not lose patience with me. It started off as a good visit, Alexander "Slim" Jones seem to be a really knowledgeable salesman about the Yamaha SX 210. We sort of had a deal brewing. He ran my credit and was approved by Yamaha for $40,000. to purchase this boat. We put the document signing on pause until I could go home to pick up my wife so she could enjoy the excitement of purchasing our first family boat together. Before I left the dealership, I asked Mr. Jones to retrieve the Yamaha AR 195 so we could see that upon our arrival... On our way back to the dealer, my wife say, the AR 195 would be a better boat for our family enjoyment. When we returned to the dealer Mr. Jones did not have the boat ready for our viewing experience. However, I said, we want to use our buying power to purchase the Yamaha AR 195. We made an offer on the MSRP ($35,299.). Mr. Jones took the offer to his Finance Manager Vince who was not willing to take any money off the MSRP because Bay Harbor Motors is the only dealer in this area with that particular boat... This was a waste of time spent at that dealership... IT WAS MONEY OVER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION LEAVING ME AN UNHAPPY VISITOR WHO IS STILL SHOPPING AROUND WITH APPROVED FINANCE! read more

That's how you maintain a happy customer. I only wanted an inspection, but decided to get my oil changed while I was here instead of bringing it to dealer I bought it from (it's in jersey) I was here a total of 45min. Inspection and oil changed. I even priced a quick release bracket for my windshield. Finally found a place that can work on my bike without me having to travel to jersey. I needed some motorcycle repairs on Friday afternoon while traveling to NYC for a weekend trip - I called around and these were the only folks willing to look at it before Monday. When I got there, I got told, contrary to the phone discussion, that they couldn't look at it until Monday, but at that point I didn't have much choice so left it with them. The staff was not particularly friendly but direct and reasonably attentive. They ended up looking at it on Friday after all and called me that evening with a diagnosis, but no ability to find a part until Monday. They ended up not being able to get the part on Monday, and I needed to get on the road, so I reclaimed the bike, and they were actually nice about it, opting not to charge me for the diagnosis time, a bit of generosity that was much appreciated. read more
