We drove into Coos Bay without a plan, only the hope that one of the campgrounds in the area would have space for us. We drove past Beach Bound thinking we'd land in the County Park next door. The tall trees at Beach Bound beckoned us back though! Lucky us! This is the kind of place that doesn't seem to exist anymore. No corporate BS here. This is a family built and run place where pride of ownership and a labor of love makes all the difference. Wide spaced sites, with hookups and picnic tables, all under wonderful trees! We felt so lucky to have wound up here for a few nights...We found a gem that we wouldn't have otherwise known about! Belinda and Brian have built a tremendous place and are so clearly putting their heart into keeping it clean, tidy, and hospitable for guests. Also...Belinda's 300+ rhododendrons would be a site to see when they're in bloom! read more

It's very quiet, peaceful and serene. It's a bit pricey because there's they want you to pay extras for everything including dumping your garbage, which is a little weird. But it's beautiful and it's quiet. read more

This park is top notch offering a forest setting, many sights with ocean view and full hookups that offer 30 or 50 amp. sewer and water. Great playground for the little ones Nicely equipped. Far enough off the road to provide silent nights yet close enough to get you most anywhere you wish to go, beaches, eateries, shopping. Owners are very friendly doing all they can to make your camping experience one you'll remember for a lifetime. We came in a 43' coach and had plenty of room to fully enjoy ourselves at our sight. Very friendly, welcoming host. Grounds were impeccably maintained. Bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The camp site was in excellent condition. The hostess came to greet us quickly and explained everything. Even a cute little dog park! read more

We just spent 6 days here! Newer RV park, large sites in the woods, saw deer, heard owls & hawks...we absolutely loved this place & the Owners are very nice...we definitely will be back next year!! read more

We had lot 15 on the top of the hill with a nice view of the water in the distance. The park is beautifully maintained. The fire pit was great for an evening fire. Loved the flowers all around the park. The owners were very personable. They recommended places to eat ( Miller's on the cove was great) The beach is near. read more

What a beautiful RV park! You can hear the ocean and smell the trees. You can see the love and detail put into this park by the owners; its definitely a step above other RV parks. Spaces are spacious, each with a fire pit and free fire wood! Very quiet. Great restaurants close by, beautiful areas to explore by foot or vehicle in the area. This newer campground has potential. The campsites are generously sized and have a picnic table and fire ring. The setting is pretty. The facilities are clean. Check in and check out sketchy. No one was available at their "office" at either time but the owner did come by later to drop off some complimentary firewood and keys to the restroom and shower. Upon check out, no one was there to receive the keys and there was no drop box to drop them in. Had to leave them on a vehicle seat along with a couple other sets left there. Since their office is at the rear of the campgrounds, anyone can drive or walk right in to the campgrounds at any time. It didn't feel secure and safe. The lighting is very poor and makes it difficult to find and pull into campsites after dark. Two days we were unable to sit outside due to the many yellow jackets constantly bothering us. My husband and I both received stings from them. On one early afternoon of our stay, a huge pine tree was cut down right next to us. The sound of their machine that was parked at the entrance to our site and the chain saw did not make for a very peaceful day. The yellow jackets got quite active then and several got into our camper. In general, the campground has a lot of room for improvement as they continue to develop. It is pretty and has great potential but too far from the beach. The security of the campground should be addressed as well as the yellow jacket nests somewhere on the property. Free fire wood for the first night is a nice perk and the owner is pleasant. The campsites are spacious. The restrooms are clean but having to use a key rather than a number pad is very inconvenient. The lighting along the road and at entrance to campsite is insufficient and makes for a difficult time when returning after dark. read more

We can hear the ocean waves from the park; a great way to fall asleep! Bastendorff beach is a quarter mile down the road and we start each day walking our dawg on the beach. It's a new rv park and each slip has privacy and most are nestled in a grove of (very) tall trees. The park includes a designated dog park and a children's playground. Charleston is a 15 minute drive (great place to crab off the docks) where you can find boats selling their catch and if none, Chuck's Seafood is a great source. Coos Bay is a 25 minute drive. read more

We had a really nice stay there. the camp hosts were super friendly and helpful. There are two showers with great shower pressure bring some kind of waterproof bag or something to put your stuff in and flip-flops because it has a teak wood floor. They have restrooms and a dump station. Having the cut logs on the back part where your camper parks was kind of space restricting and you have to step over the log or around. Would prefer the playground have some kind of wood chips or beauty bark because when the kids would go down the slide, they would hit pretty hard on the ground or fall off the swing . Plus, there was an older kid there on the swingset and it's not cemented so it kept teetering and it made me nervous with my toddler. Other than those few things it was a great view and close to the beaches. read more

On first glance this park wins most beautiful award. The spaces are wide and easily accessed. It even comes with a bundle of firewood. The trees and undergrowith are beautiful and peaceful. But unless you are young and love to hike, do NOT stay here. It may be pretty but the ground is uneven and there are no walking paths. The needles covering the ground, the steep inclines and the excess moisture mean that it is treacherous to walk. Coupled with the fact that it is very dark at night. And don't bother if you need amenities. They have none. They appear to have bathrooms and showers. First, most sites will require a hike to the restroom. We had to drive down. From the parking area, there is about a 40yard grassy area that has to be crossed. It is muddy in the rain. The motion lights do not come on until you have reached the buildings and the tiny bit of sidewalk before you go around to the stairs. They placed the bathrooms backwards from the parking area so you have to go behind them and up some slippery stairs. The showers are separate and something straight out of a horror film!! Small closet that stinks, has a disgusting concrete floor, and has a padlock on the outside of the door! Nothing to stop anyone from walking up and sliding the lock over. I thought gas may come out instead of water. And the handicap bathroom isn't a whole lot better. At least there is a shower and a toilet together. But you can only use it if you are truly disabled and they bestow upon you the special keys. And nobody else but that one person can go in there. The owners seem nice but there is a lot that needs to be done to make their park more safe and amenable. read more

We spent two nights here. It was incredibly peaceful, no noise from traffic and tall beautiful coastal fir trees. They give a bundle of wood for free and we spent many wonderful hours around the campfire. We even got to watch lightening and hear thunder for hours from a distant storm, which was so cool. read more
