As far as Indian casinos and lodging, this place was nice. Our river view room was not the greatest view but it was a view. The blinds were broken and it was a little dated but it served as a nice central location to our friends house for a few nights. We had fun in the casino. Clean but smoky! Restaurant was not great. Parking was easy. I've machines were broken so we were given bags of ice at the front desk. I thought it was a little spendy for what it was, but again.. it served it's purpose.

Just think of Neil Young's Harvest Moon playing in the background.

The room overlooking the bay on a full moon was magic. I stayed in the Lodge. Nice room. But the BEST part was the coffee shop! The fluffiest best donut I have EVER had! I never knew a maple bar could be so delicious. But wait there's more! The London Fog was absolutely perfect. Hot, flavorful, sweetened to perfection. The stay was highlighted by the flipping great service, delicious pastry, and the phenomenal London Fig. I will return for the pastry and tea.

WiFi, WiFi, WiFi. This was our deal breaker. The WiFi here is bottom line terrible. It's terrible at the RV Park, inside the casino and restaurants. We've been traveling along the Oregon coast area for months and this was our worst WiFi connection yet. And, Why? It's not a family owned park where this would be too expensive to add.... It's a casino. They make a lot of money on most days. It SHOULD have great WiFi for its casino and RV guests. We asked a server in a restaurant about the WiFi and she said it's terrible all over the property. Now, the positives. The RV park had the best staff. The grey haired woman at checkin was so nice every time we saw her. The property is clean, no long term occupants, good view of the bay, and spots had a lot of space. Overall, I rate the RV park a 4 out of 5, but because of Wi-Fi I'll say 3. The casino has SO much smoke. I let three different people at the RV park and all mentioned how much smoke lingers in the air inside. We are from Nevada so we know a smoky casino... this one was like alit had a 70's ventilation system. The casino staff were great. Everyone was happy, helpful, and seemed to like their jobs. The food was just okay. Nothing was great. We are in the sports place three times and then went to town for the rest of our trip if we went out. We stayed here 7 nights. So, overall our stay was good just very hard to say great when simple WiFi was terrible.

RV PARK: The RV park is great as it has many options for any and all lengths of RV's. Staff are super friendly and if you do not like the assigned spot, they will provide a list of available spots. Will definitely stay there again.

My friend was visiting from New York, and I wanted to show her the beauty of the Oregon coast. So we came up for a night. Check-in was easy and everybody was friendly and helpful. We had a handicapped accessible room on the fourth floor The room, and the bathroom was very large, and my partner really liked the walk in shower. There were also great views from our room. There was a fridge, but no microwave. The TV had lots of channels and got a good picture. The casino is large, with both slots and table games. My friend had a fun time playing. She earned enough points to buy a couple of small things in the gift shop the next morning. The food was good. We had dinner at warehouse 101, , and in the morning, we ordered breakfast from the plank house. The casino does not offer room service, but you can call down to the restaurant and it will be waiting for you when you get there. It was packed well and still warm when it got to the room. The plank house also had a beautiful view. Three small things that I am taking away a star. First of all, it is a smoking casino, and they only have a very small non-smoking area in a corner of the casino. Naturally, the smoke still get into the non-smoking area. The bed was OK, but it was a bit firm for our personal taste. We still got a good nights sleep. Finally, the room thermostat is an old-fashioned thermostat, and it was very hard to get it to just the right temperature. I know it's an older property, but they really should replace the thermostat to a digital. Other than that, we had a good time. We would come back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was visiting for over a week for The Mill High Tide Tattoo Festival at the end of April. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. The employees at all the restaurants were very attentive and shared great recommendations for things to do around town, especially Mari at The Plank House. The tattoo festival was also one of my favorites. It was very well run. Melanie and Andrew were amazing. We are definitely returning next year. The casino was very well lit and even though there are smoking sections the ventilation is pretty good, since you could barely smell any smoke. There is a small non- smoking section if you are interested. The food at the restaurants was very good. I was also told they bake their bread in house. There was not a place I tried where we had an issue or didn't like the food. The rooms were very spacious, we stayed on the top floor and had a room overlooking the bay. It seems the rooms were recently renovated. Even though it is pet-friendly, the hotel was really clean and well maintained.

This is just for the Ko Kwell gift shop inside the Mills. We were on the "Charm Trail" & stopped in here for their charms. But, my oh my, they have a wonderful gift shop! A large selection of items, some from the Oregon coast. Painting's, books, sweat shirts, handmade jewelry items & carved wooden gifts you can purchase & share (or not) with family & friends. Five stars!

It is, in fact, so much better than the second-best motel that I don't even know what the second-best motel I've been to is! Not only is the Itty Bitty Inn now a must-stay for me on my next trip up the Oregon Coast, but it is so great that it has dramatically increased the likelihood that I will be driving back up the Coast soon. I'm still shocked that the Lonely Planet guide didn't mention it. Rick (the owner) is the coolest. The first thing that he did was give my friend and I a rundown of Coos Bay hotspots. Then he showed us to our beautifully decorated and upholstered rooms - we had the two Tiki-themed rooms, each of which had too much detail to even be done justice by a picture. He proceeded to then pour us complementary beers and directed us to the outdoor patio for lounging and decompression after our trip. I felt like the King of France! I now absolutely need to stay in every one of the rooms for at least a night (there are 5 total, each with a different theme). This is no trivial feat, as apparently new complete redesigns are always in the planning stages. I can't wait to see the place next time I'm in town!!!

Whitecaps.  Catchy name for a quiet bar/dining area in a casino.  How was my experience?  Terrible,…read moreand not because of the food. Let's talk about the food first.  My friend and I ordered 5 of the small plates appetizers to start.  The first was a caprese bruschetta, which was good.  The basil was fresh (but wilted, more on that in a bit), the cherry tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the mozzarella was creamy.  Second up was a halibut canapé.  I did not partake, but my friend said it was good.  Third was bacon wrapped scallops.  Again, I did not partake, but she said it was okay.  Third was flank steak with gorgonzola cream sauce.  The steak was tender, but I am not a fan of gorgonzola, so I wouldn't order it again.  Finally was a smoked salmon canapé.  It was the highlight of the meal.  The smoke combined with the salt of the fish and sweet of the fromage blanc was amazing.  I would (and will) order 10 of these for a meal. Onto the main courses.  I ordered the alfredo and she ordered the ribeye.  The steak was cooked rare, as ordered.  She said "It tastes like meat.  It isn't over seasoned."  The garlic mashed was ordinary.  My alfredo was average.  Butter and cream and parmesean.  Hard to screw up.  It lacked salt and pepper, but still okay. So what was wrong with the meal?  The service.  I arrived after my friend and she told me after the meal that she waited 15 minutes on her drink.  When there was only one other guest.  I arrived and we ordered the appetizers for her to put in and then waited another 10 minutes for her to take the order for our main course.  Our appetizers arrived and they had obviously been under the heat lamp for too long.  The basil for the caprese canapé was wilted and browning in spots and the plates were rocket hot.  No biggie.  Then, before we could eat the appetizers, the main course showed up.  At the end of the meal, we tried to wave her down her down for 15 minutes to get the check and a box and when she did, she gave us the "ugh".  During the whole meal, she did not ask once if we wanted another drink.  Obviously, this was a disappointing experience.

Maybe I am a little picky, I just found it hard to find anything that sounded appealing. We settled on sharing some BBQ wings, which had a decent flavor. I am not a person who sends food back, or complains about food. I just could not eat it, it was so bad. I had to have my guy even try a bite to make sure it wasn't my post 2023 Covid mishaps taking over. ( I can't eat certain foods, or tastes certain foods.) it wasn't that, because that is usually just eggs, bacon, and chicken it happens with. And he also agreed, the meat tasted weird. Not bad, just weird. Like what is it? Not even the horseradish was helping. Thankfully we were not charged. Our friend liked his clam chowder bowl, and cheesecake. Hopefully the other restaurants here are better.

They have an indoor pool (which was a little too cool for me, but I do believe it is heated). A small gym with bathrooms and filtered water machine. (Sadly the hot tub is covered up and not available) There are no elevators in this two story property. But it looks like every room has a balcony on the second floor and patio on the first floor on the water view side. They also have a "motel"style wing which the doors are entered through the parking lot. These rooms, I was told were "Pet friendly" rooms and have no carpet on the floors. We were in room 126 on the ground floor. The room was comfortable. Large flat screen TV, comfy sitting chair with a small desk top tray, mini fridge and dresser. Bathroom was stocked with pump shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Also where the vanity was, there was a small open style closet and shelving which was great! Additionally there was an ironing board and iron and a hair dryer. The lighting situation is terrible. It would be nice if they had a switch to the lights in the room and not have to rely on finding where the switch is on the lamps. And the mattresses were not the best. I was told they were all new mattresses when they did the remodel. Not sure if it was just our room or if all the mattresses in the hotel were like this, but it really was the only big issue I had. I didn't have terrible sleeps but they are worth noting because they are not supportive mattresses at all! I made my reservations with an off site reservastionist and the guy really messed up a lot of information on my reservation. The big one being that there was an elevator. The GM, Amber, was amazing and honored the reservation price and was able to get me a room downstairs and had been a pleasant sight every day since we had arrived. Outside we enjoyed the 2 chairs and small table on our small patio that overlooked the water. Overall I'd give this place a 4.5 star rating. Beds really being my only complaint. The staff became family and were all so friendly! We will be back! Special shout-out to Amber and Chris who really took time to make us feel welcomed and share their local favorites with us.
