I have heard others say that the owner Doug was not as friendly as he could be. Well that's not necessarily true if you see him around after work he's as friendly and talkative as ever. but at work strictly business. So if you want to go to Doug's to socialize it is probably not recommended. but if you want a quality repair at a fair price in a decent amount of time, then Doug's auto is the place to be.

So, we took it back to Debunk and he would "fix" it under warranty. Great! Well, he charged us AGAIN for the labor of an item that cost well over $2000 dollars to replace. That "labor" was $700. Get it back and the recirculation doesn't work. He said it was nothing they did, but it worked quite effectively before it went in the second time. Then he said it was the head unit. The head unit was brand new. We won't even go into the brakes on my husband's vehicle that he "fixed."

Cactus Jack's Auto Repair We were towing our little Casita…read moretravel trailer in an area that is about as far from a Mercedes dealer as you can get in the USA. We stopped briefly at a dollar store to grab a couple of things and the engine started misfiring and the check engine light came on! We were nearly 300 miles from home. Nearly the same from the nearest dealership! But it seemed to be running semi smoothly above 2,000 rpm, so proceed the 20 miles to our next camping destination and take it from there. It was Saturday afternoon. We will get nothing done until Monday, so we might as well relax. Over Sunday, I checked on local auto repair businesses. I found a first choice. Went there Monday morning, first thing. There was a for sale sign up and it was locked up. Came across a second, quite by accident, but their ODBC tester had been stolen. Also the shop was FULL of dust covered cars, just sitting there in various by states of disrepair and disassembly. They recommended that I go to the local O'Rilley's and have them diagnose the problem. He got out his pocket sized tester and informed me there was an ignition problem with the number four cylinder, maybe the plug, maybe the coil, but "Cactus Jack's Auto Repair" had the best ODBC tester in town and they also had a "crackerjack mechanic". I drove over there and met "Kris". I instantly felt a whole lot more hopeful. He got out his big ODBC tester and confirmed that the number four cylinder was the problem. It was at least the plug (I was due for new plugs anyway) and probably the coil too. He said he could have the parts by Tuesday at two. I showed up at the appointed time and two and a half hours later I was back on the road, running like a dream. I experienced only sound, confident, competent, professionalism. I would feel comfortable taking this car, or any other vehicle to Cactus Jack's for ANY mechanical issue. Solid, honest customer service, at its finest. I highly recommend this establishment

if i could give zero or even minus stars i definitely would. i've been really debating whether to…read morepost this or not but after 28 years a service writer/ service manager in the automotive service industry... i have never ever in my life had such a horrible experience as i had at this repair shop.. from them never once calling to get my pre-authorization for needed repairs.. to them telling me my car was finished two to three times and me picking it up each time only to be stranded each time with the exact same problem that i communicated very well that it needed to go in for...then calling me in the end to tell me it was done and saying i owed $1,000 total... this is on a $300 car.. had i known in advance what it was going to cost to replace parts and labor.. i def.would have declined and went and put that money down on a new vehicle..(which it is the law, that pre-authorization needed to be given by the customer in writing or verbal with exact times and notes logged,in order to proceed in a repair shop) in addition to all of this and him finally getting done with the car.. after lengthy call with my son.. my son had to intervene who is a police officer from colorado when he called he spent some time on the phone with , joseph, the owner, while joseph drops f-bombs ,yelling and cussing, at my son like crazy and him lying and saying that he told me what the estimate/cost was prior to .( the whole conversation was recorded in case we had to go to court )my son was finally able to calm the guy down and try to help him confirm/finish with the overall run-through of diagnostics and repairs over the phone .. (my son used to be a certified mechanic before police officer).. one of the things i want to add is the wife that is in the office was the most unfriendly almost seemingly jealous rude person i've ever dealt with in annny front office.. even the 2 different girls that had to give me rides to get my car and drop it off they even were appalled at the lack of friendliness /rudeness and lack of customer service..so in the end, we got them to write up their parts/ labor warranty on the bill.. for us, but i will definitely not be taking it back there for any warranty work or any other service work and i will warn all others not to take it there just like i was advised, after the fact that i found them ,that i had made the wrong choice to go to them..told to me by many people in the area who have experienced the same problem wth hunt.. (i was new in this town and i didn't know who to take it to to begin with) good news is that i believe i have found a good local repair shop now that i've brought to once since the experience at hunts.. and they have done me right .. very honest thorough professional and fair prices.they got me in quickly , told me what they found was wrong, what the cost was going to be and got my authorization to move forward..and the customer service was top notch . so i'm looking forward to doing business with them instead. like the saying goes people create their own competition .

we were on our way to breckenridge tx. to pick up oat seed and a belt broke on the truck very near…read moregustine tx., i goodled repair shops and found hunt auto repair. we were very blessed that joseph hunt was available and came to our roadside rescue. the belt did break...but it was because the water pump froze up. joseph replaced the water pump and belt in no time at all but we had another problem...a sensor was also broken. due to the belt damaging the sensor as it was wildly flapping before we could quickly stop. joseph made three trips to the auto parts (thank goodness o'reilly in commanche had all the parts) with a can do attitude and confident knowledge. we feel so fortunate to have joseph hunt/hunt auto repair come to our resucue. everything about our repair adventure was very good, we were in good hands, he fixed us up quickly, the cost was very very fair and our seed purchasing trip continued with no great loss of time. no one wants to have a break down...but we are so glad it was near hunt auto repair!!! sincerely, "the littlefields"

Had it fixed locally under the certified preowned warranty, took two weeks to fix because Bayer didn't file the warranty paperwork, and cost me $100 deductible. Feel like they didn't fulfill their end of the contract and should reimburse me. Have called and left a couple messages for Todd, who I was told is the sales manager. Hasn't called me back.
