Whether you're looking to find a group class or one-on-one training; beginner or advanced - BayFitSF got you! Bailey is truly knowledgeable and motivational. Throughout the years, I can't thank him enough to keep me in check and disciplined to my own well-being, self-awareness and overall health. Unlike most trainers and classes, where you may feel intimidated or timid to attend; Bailey genuinely makes you comfortable from day one. I appreciate the fact that he allows you to go at own pace; yet pushes you to do your best and foresees your potential and is attentive to your progress. He's very constructive, patient, and thorough with each workout. I feel at ease yet thrive it keep up to his standards, more importantly for myself. Consistency is key and that's what I value working with Bailey. Keeps you on your toes and genuinely cares about your health and progress. Thank you so much Bailey! Highly recommended, best in the bay!

Though I had certainly hiked greater distances, it dawned on me that this was possibly the longest distance that I had ever run in my life in one sitting. One of the girls running next to me spoke up. "Do you know how long we've been running?" she panted to our trainer, merrily peddling alongside us on a bike. "I think this is the longest I've ever run in my life." "About 5 and a half miles," he replied. "This is madness!" I exclaimed. "Madness? This...is...booooooooooooot caaaaaamp!" Okay, so that didn't happen, at least the 300 reference (although our trainer was in fact an easy-on-the-eyes Scotsman). But I really did run 5.5 miles that day, as well as perform various other feats of strength and endurance that would ordinarily seem improbable for me to do on a nearly daily basis. But beyond the fact that my goal weight is currently 22 pounds, I a) have reached the point where I really don't want to go to the gym and do the same routine day in and day out, b) know that despite my inner grumbling, I enjoy a good ass-kicking (especially if it means that I don't have to sweat the occasional chocolate or bucket of fried chicken), and c) would like to spend a least some of my day outside when I spend so much time inside working. For all these reasons and more, Boot Camp SF has been perfect for me. They have a variety of locations, great instructors, and various levels for each time slot offered. If for some reason you think you'll be gone a lot during a session (as I was for the previous one), you can purchase a pack of 10 classes to take when you are able (they can also be purchased singly). Having your measurements taken, which may initially seem mortifying, is actually a great way to see your progress and stay motivated. Oh, and you'll most likely end up bonded to the people in your group, if for no reason other than (happily) sharing in the suffering together.

I would…read morelegitimately debate whether waiting 20 minutes for the next bus was better than running to catch the current bus. I am weak, I have no muscle tone, and I have little endurance. I've tried to change this approach to exercise several times in my life. Gym memberships, group classes, rock climbing, at-home workout videos with virtual coaching and support groups... nothing stuck. Enter BootCampSF. For the first time in my life, I craved feeling sore from a workout. I now know what it is like to want to go workout. I may not look all that different, but I feel better and stronger. On week one, I could only run up 1/3 of the hill; and by week six, I still couldn't run to the top of the hill, but I can make it 2/3 of the way now. I just finished my first 6-week program, and I've signed up for a recurring subscription. I never thought I'd be this excited about working out. This was Katy's last training session with BCSF, but I'm sure whoever we get next will be just as great.

I used to run competitively outdoors, so running inside on a treadmill doesn't hit the same. Still I gave it a chance and am quite glad I did. I joined for a 9:30 AM Saturday full body upper body focus class, and it was super energizing. With rapid spring and strength sets synced to a pulsing, high-octane playlist, the workout started my weekend on a high note. Aside from the workout, what facilities I saw and used were clean and odor-free. Staff were polite but a bit rushed. The layout of the room the class I took was held in was a bit confusing to navigate in the dim lighting. They do have a reference map at the check-in desk, so it's definitely a good idea to arrive early and review it first if it's your first time here.

She's a real cheerleader for all students! Class was tough but rewarding. I love the full-body HIIT workout involving both lifting and running. The music was flowing and the class was united. I swear Barry's is harder in SF than on the peninsula or in other cities! My body is sore for longer. Great location accessible via public transit and bikes (though I walked--not from my office, but it is very accessible from people's offices!) Nice locker rooms but small. I like the soap they offer! Lockers are easy to use.

I've been going for a few months now here and there and it's definitely a great workout. The community is also great, and all the teachers are kind and goes at a level you're comfortable at. Every time I've been, there's something new I'm learning or a new form I'm getting down. If you're bored of going to the gym, I recommend this bootcamp to add into your fitness rotation. All the instructors are very supportive, and really does try to help you and push you to do your best. Also, the music is great and love the water machine.

Whether it's a cardio-focused HIIT day or a slower-paced, low impact strength day, I always feel like I'm dying (in a good way). Even at 5:45 in the morning, Coach Zack and Coach Derrick bring the energy and make the workouts fun. With the motivation of Coach Derrick's throwback jams and Coach Zack cackling at my suffering, I always push myself harder than I thought possible. And you can tell that they really care about helping everyone at all levels of fitness work towards their own goals as they walk around offering form corrections, modifications, or adding to your weights if they think you can do more. Fitness aside, there is also a great sense of community and many people hang out together outside of the workouts too. Also, shoutout to Coach Allen who led the first class I ever tried. Though he's taken a step back from coaching the classes, he was very encouraging and continues to be very accommodating of my schedule for ClassPass!
