We just got here about an hour ago. First thing I wanted was a hot bath. Water was barely tepid but staff was able to take care of it and get us hot water. We stayed here for our 40th anniversary. Lovely property, room, comfy bed and great staff. Across the street from the bay you have sailboats and schooners . Great views from the Verandas. We ordered the breakfast in bed with mimosas which didn't disappoint. I had a huge piece of French toast with blueberry compote, ham, cappuccino. We're already planning our next visit. read more

We stayed here two nights on our way to our final destination. It was a great location being right across the street from the water and a couple of blocks off the main drag to provide less traffic and noise. Our room was spacious with a nice king sized bed. Shower had room for two. We also had a bench on the deck outside of our room. I sat there and read the paper. I loved discovering a cat curled up there on our last day who was friendly and enjoying the morning sun. Breakfast was delicious with an egg bake and waffle our two days. With fresh fruit, bread board, juice, and coffee, there was more than enough to eat. They also hosted a social for the guests but the timing didn't work out for us to attend. It was quite the spread when we peaked in one night. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast outside on the large porch. The first day it was raining but we were covered so not an issue. The second day it was sunny and clear. Beautiful views of the water. The staff was fantastic and took care of all of our needs. Great stay! read more

Let me start off by saying I have never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before. Honestly, I never considered it, I've always strictly been a hotel person no matter where I'm traveling. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our one year anniversary, and we both love St. Augustine and decided to branch out a little and stay at a bed and breakfast. Kudos to my boyfriend for doing the research and booking Bayfront Westcott because this was one of the loveliest stays I've ever experienced. The hospitality was out-of-this-world amazing, the rooms were cozily unique and clean, and the breakfast was AMAZING. We stayed in the Allison Loft, located in the main building with the entrance to the room being on the second floor and a staircase up to the room. The staircase up the loft was a bit steep and narrow but once you pass that you have an extremely spacious room. The bed is huge, pretty sure it was either a king or a California king, and it was like sleeping on clouds that gave you a nice warm hug all night long. The shower has more space than you could ever as for, with multiple shower heads for the ultimate bathing experience. We stayed two nights, so we enjoyed two home-cooked breakfasts. They give you a slip to fill out with your breakfast preferences, with the special of the day changing daily. They also have the additional option for breakfast in bed to be brought up to your room. We opted to come down for breakfast and I HIGHLY recommend this! Like I said before, the hospitality is unreal. They bring out the food to you with such grace, kindness, and quickness that makes you feel like royalty. All of the food tastes so fresh and delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking back on it! There's plenty of seating options including an indoor dining room or tables on the outdoor patio. I could talk about Bayfront Westcott for days. We stumbled upon this lovely Bed & Breakfast quite by accident. We visit St. Augustine quite often and are not sure how we missed this amazing place! Every member of the staff was pleasant, friendly and so very helpful. The room (the Catherine) was so charming and the view from the balcony was incredible! Oh guys! How do we Love thee?! Let me count the ways! It's so amazing because our experience was Good from the first call with Lisa! There are so many Good things to talk about, but as usual it's the people that make the difference! The staff is amazing and they seem to work very well together to make sure things go well. We had the Victoria Room and it is gorgeous with a big giant amazing copper tub! The soaps and lotions were all really nice. The robes are very nice. Not just the usual heavy white towel robes. They are white, but not very heavy, and sort of velvety on the inside. I thought because the house was wooden we might hear our neighbors--but no! I was pleased we never heard a thing from another room. The balcony and porch on the bay can't be beat! The staff made an amazing fruit breakfast in a pineapple for my husband's breakfast! They were just so kind and they really do want to exceed expectations! We didn't want to leave and look forward to returning! I wish we remembered every name, but we don't. Of course we remember Picasso, Lisa, and Carrie. We remember the lady from Miami, the "social media manager" and the chef! We remember every face and Love you all! read more

My husband and I booked this in advance for our 7 year wedding anniversary. What was awesome about booking with them is you only have to put 10 percent down on your trip to hold that reservation. If it's $1000 then you could put only $100 and pay it off in increments. Not everyone has $1000 at once so for you guys this is an option. They are well put together! They called several times to confirm and arrange specific details included in our package and they went above and beyond to give us a wonderful experience there! The room was immaculate! It had a fireplace and a big jetted spa bathtub with room enough for 2! From the colors in the room to the decor to the size and room arrangement, impeccable! Breakfast was personalized for me due to not liking eggs and I appreciated the cook going out of his way to make me pancakes! Our breakfast was great! The neat thing they do is they have a social downstairs and there is food drinks and it's a fun hour of meeting people and trying new foods. They have a close parking lot as this is a very walkable area. We throughly enjoyed our stay there and plan to go again in the fall! We stayed in the room called minorcan. We truly enjoyed our week long stay at the house. Thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay that much more special. We truly enjoyed all the delicious breakfasts , social hour wines & appetizers were absolutely delicious. The guest were all very friendly and were returning guest that have been staying here for years and we could definitely see why. Coming back home after a late night of fun and finding fresh, delicious brownies & cookies waiting for us in the living room was such a sweet added touch. This is our second time in St. Augustine at a Bed and Breakfast. First time at the Westcott House. We were impressed with all the options for breakfast. You definitely won't be hungry afterwards. They also have a very nice happy hour with cheeses, dips, crackers and a hot appetizer. Beer,wine, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Great location and the view you never could get tired of. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I was impressed that later in the evening after happy hour I was able to get a glass of wine to enjoy outside on the balcony. Stayed her with wife and friends and it was fabulous and I would recommend to anyone. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Isabella with a wonderful view and big porch right outside the room that was quiet with a great view over the water. Service was unmatched by anything we have had in a while and they were all very helpful from reservations to just little bits of knowledge and pointers about the area. Social hour was yummy with an assortment of appetizers and wine, beer, soda and water or even coffee and tea. I would recommend even if out and about all day make sure at least one day to make you way to it, For breakfast the food was delicious and choices galore- my wife asked for something not listed and they delivered without any issues and I was stuffed and ready for the day. This is not some bland boring breakfast and yes you have lots of choices. Our friends had a not so great experience once at another place and this being their first time in Saint Augustine have completely changed how they feel about B&Bs -though the Westcott probably set the bar very high but it's a place we will definitely be back to and recommend to anyone. You are also walking distance to everything and far enough away to not get all the noise from the main area. Over the weekend we stayed at the Westcott House in Alison's Loft. We found this room in particular to be of appropriate cost for value of room. Several of the other rooms that our family members stayed in were very small for the cost. We were warned several times of the low ceilings. But from the layout of the room they were not a problem. Down fall of the room was to not have a vent system in the room with a large garden tub. After taking a relaxing soak before bed the room stayed very humid for the remainder of each night even with the window A/C unit running. The biggest success of the house is their food. Breakfast was amazing, and the wine and cheese offering looked great as well. Downfall of the stay was that we did not receive housekeeping or fresh towels during our two night stay. I was informed from Joy that this is not the way her inn should operate, but it was the reality we faced. Please note the inn does have an 8 day window from checkin for reservations changes. Due to work challenges we had to shorten our 3 night stay to 2 yet was still charged for the 3rd night. read more

Fabulous B&B! We visited the Bayfront Wescott for a wedding in St. Augustine and couldn't have been more pleased. The bride and groom reserved the Bayfront and the adjacent sister B&B, the Marin, for out-of-town family. It was a fantastic arrangement. The courtyard between the two was the site for the welcome party and worked out perfectly. The staff couldn't have been more hospitable. The breakfasts were fantastic. The best stuffed French toast I've ever taste, quiche was delish, and the homemade evening treats were yummy too. They were very accommodating when I asked about tree nuts in the baked goods. Even offered to get extra treats (w/o tree nuts) for my young son who is allergic so he wouldn't miss out. Lovely rooms, helpful and friendly staff. The owner offered his own parking spot to accommodate my father who has Parkinsons and uses a scooter or walker to get around. The room was very accessible, which can be tricky at a B&B. The location is fantastic, right across from the water (our room had a private balcony with a waterfront view) and walking distance to everything. My wife sooo loved our stay here the end of July. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating, so eager to help with any of our requests. The Anastasia room is within just a few steps from the second floor balcony where you can sit and enjoy views of the Matanzas River. Our room also gave us views of that river. We enjoyed the complimentary evening wine and cheese/hor d'oeuvres the Westcott offers every night. The breakfast that was offered included many options that were quite delicious! Also this location(in addition to great water views)---provides for great access to the shopping/restaurants St Augustine offers, that you can walk to. Now that's important because parking near the Westcott is challenging. And the lot they provide is a few blocks away...it's walkable...but not terribly convenient. With that said...you are in walking distance of so many things, it wasn't a major issue for us. I would NOT let the parking issue keep from staying here. For the primo location, access to historic St Augustine, the service from the friendly staff, water views, beautiful decor and reasonable price....if coming to St Augustine, this is where you want to stay! read more

The boyfriend had masterminded a weekend getaway to St. Augustine for our anniversary and when packing for the trip he let me know we were to be staying in the Bayfront Wescott, so I immediately went online to check it out. My first thought? Oh no, a B&B. I am not a huge fan of B&B's for various reasons.....which no one will probably care about but the biggest for me is anonymity. When I go somewhere to stay, I want to be left alone until I need something and don't always feel like being a social butterfly. We parked in front in order to check in and my anxiety level was high..... the gal was nice but we needed to fill out the breakfast cards and take care of a few things before we got to the room. Then, we were informed the parking lot for the place was 4-5 blocks away. Ok.... I know St. Aug and know parking can be a complete cluster. I was really hoping there were at least a few spots reserved out front... but no. Now, I'm not a total sloth, but the high heels I was wearing were not the best choice for a 4-5 block walk. I am going to hate this, I thought. And walking back from the parking lot, sure enough, a few blisters appeared from my inappropriate footwear. Sigh. Then we got to the room. We were staying in the Alexandria, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very Hemmingway-esque, light blue walls, some Florida accents, a queen bed, walk through shower, a few chairs and a jaccuzi tub. Ok, I'm starting to feel a bit better by this point. The boyfriend arranged to have fresh roses and chocolate covered strawberries in the room as well. And it keeps getting better. At the end of the night, we crawl into bed.... and man.... those sheets are LIKE BUTTER. Not too heavy, perfect thread-count, and smooth as silk. Just perfect. The next morning for breakfast, we had it delivered to the room, with a pitcher of mimosas as well. Breakfast was soooo good... plenty of fresh fruit, fantastic bacon, onion and cheese quiche and the owner made sure we were hooked up with a pitcher of coffee as well. I was still determined to find a spot closer to park, even if that meant I needed to feed a meter every so often, so we went to get the car and parked out front. We went in to confirm this was ok, and they told us parking at the meters would be way too expensive and they did not recommend it. Grrr! However, the owner actually MOVED HIS CAR so we could take his un-metered spot in the alley behind the hotel. That small gesture made my day. And the entire stay really. I know it's probably a weird thing to worry about.... but what started for me as a 2-3 star experience immediately shot back up to 5 stars after that. :) We had a little area outside the room to sit and chat, watching folks come and go and the owners work their magic. They made sure we had everything we needed, at all times. (Well, except after 10 pm, make sure you get everything you need for the night by then.) The grounds are well manicured, filled with flowers and a small fountain you can hear bubbling from the deck. They helped the boyfriend schedule in room massages the next day... and the ladies were professional and the massage was amazing. No one was really "all up in our business" (you know, the B&B fear of mine) and just a few hellos and good mornings from passers by while we enjoyed coffee or a few beers out on the deck. The service and professionalism the Wescott offers is above and beyond. I quickly got over my B&B fears, had a fantastic time, great food and service... truly an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting or in need of a quick weekend getaway. read more

My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday a week early. This place is just a joy. The service is unbelievable abs perfect all around and the owner is a doll. We got in during happy hr and with all the rain it was nice to have a hot mug of tea before we got started with our evening. With cookies and tea cakes in hand we entered our room, and oh what a room indeed. With a beautiful fluffy king sized bed and ample pillows a mood setting fireplace and wonderfully worn wood floors I was in B&B heaven. The bathroom was just as wonderful worth a two person whirlpool tub and rain shower and two complementary rob that felt like being wrapped in angels wings. The breakfast was yumtacular.... The first morning we had a light and fluffy homemade quiche with fresh fruit and coffee cake of the gods... On our 2nd and last morning we had monkey bread french toast ! It was CRAZY good. All and all our stay was wonderful and relaxing, exactly what I wanted for my birthday. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! My husband and I just returned from our stay at the Westcott and I couldn't wait to write a review. It was our first experience at a B&B and it was just wonderful - the staff here really set the bar high! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were well cared for (without feeling as though they were being pushy or invasive). We stayed in Allison's Loft, which was perfect for our stay. It was cozy and quaint, the bed was comfy, the extra ac unit was awesome (I like it extra cold at night), the fireplace was nice though we didn't use it. Breakfast was delicious both mornings and we loved that they have a cocktail hour (and a half) with wine, beer, coffee, water, and snacks. It's also really nice to come in from a long day and night of sight seeing and maybe a little drinking to find a couple of trays of sweets waiting for you just inside the door. The staff were amazing - all super friendly and over-the-top helpful. I'm pretty sure I could've asked for them to get me just about anything and they'd have done it! This is a five star restaurant masquerading as an inn :-). The breakfast and evening appetizers are high quality, great tasting, and well thought out. The staff is friendly and attentive to every detail. The Wednesday night historian was a welcome surprise. From my wife's perspective, she appreciated the luxurious details in our guest room including the softest sheets she has ever felt. Ryan immediately from below the porch offered to arrange for a ride for us. The carriage ride to see the Nights of Lights is the way to go! Much quieter and less crowded than the trolley. My boyfriend and I visited Bayfront Westcott house for a concert being held in St. Augustine. When we checked in, Lisa was so kind and caring and said "come on in, this is your house too" which meant a lot. You truly felt like you were at a friend's house. It had a very warm, connected feel to it, like we were all family and everyone is super comfortable hanging out together in the common areas. We were chatting with Lisa about the concert when she said "Ubers might be tricky, please take my number if you get in a pickle with transportation and I'll come pick you up." I was FLOORED at how above and beyond that offer was, given it was after hours for her and not her job to make sure we got back to the hotel safe. Lisa if you're reading this- you rock!! read more

The House itself was beautiful. We stayed in the Victoria room. The house was located in the middle of all the attractions. The old town trolley picked us up around the corner. We did not have to touch the Car once it was parked. We were able to walk the town. The staff helped us get tickets at reasonable prices. Had a long weekend here with my girlfriend. The rooms are a good size and well decorated. The jets in the bathtub were an excellent feature. The staff is excellent. Very attentive and quick to respond. They even made special arrangements so we could check in late at night. The breakfast is amazing and the optional add on for breakfast in bed/champagne is worth the added cost. The location is a short walk from downtown and the main core of the city.Also literally a stones throw from the Bridge of Lions The city is very bike-able and the B&B actually has bikes should you choose to bike as your method of transport. Parking is a bit tricky as free parking is located at a satellite lot, which is about 3 blocks away taking less than 10 minutes to walk there.Parking outside of the B&B is free after 5 PM and all day Sunday. Monday through Saturday , the staff will feed the meter for you for a fee but that can get costly after a few hours. My main focus is the staff and their desire to satisfy all of your needs during your stay. They are knowledgeable about everything that goes on in the town and how to direct you to any sites you might want to see. The staff is full of suggestions and is ready to go the extra mile to accommodate you. For my nest visit to Saint Augustine I will definitely be staying at Westcott House. read more

Where to start? I used to stay next door at the sister B&B The Bayfront Marin House. That was until I stayed at the Westcott. Although I have nothing negative to say about the Marin House, I just prefer the Westcott. The entire house is beautiful. I have stayed in two of the rooms and loved them both. The location is overlooking the bay which gives a gorgeous view at all times. Whenever it's time to explore, fret not! The Westcott is only a short walk to all of the excitement of downtown St. Augustine. No need to keep feeding a parking meter either because they have their own private lot which is also a short walking distance. The staff here is always cheery and willing to assist in any way possible. They make you feel as if you are a relative who has come to stay for a while. The breakfast which can be taken on the elegant porch or in your room would be tragic to miss out on. With a several different choices on the menu, I have never been disappointed with anything. Happy hour is in the afternoon with complimentary wine, beer and cheeses. This is a fun time to mingle with the staff or other guests and have some laughs together.
