Took my eight year old son to the emergency room. He fell and hit his head and had an open gash that would need stitches. He is also a hemophiliac. We live near Scott and White so we took him there. The waiting room is a disaster and it's quite obvious that they are short on beds and doctors. My son sat waiting for almost an hour. Keep in mind that this is a child with a head injury that is bleeding and he has hemophilia. When we asked how much longer nobody could tell us anything except that the doctors and nurses were told about him waiting. This is about the third time in the last year that we've had to visit the ER at Scott and White for various reasons. Every single time has been the same. Insane wait times. The last time we were in the ER there were only one or two other people and it was the same thing. Waited forever. If you have an emergency go to Seton in Burnet. It's about a 15 minute drive from Marble Falls and the longest wait we've seen is about 15 or 20 minutes. The drive is almost longer than the time you sit in the waiting area. The medical staff and front desk are exponentially more professional at Seton and seem to actually care about and want to help their patients. If your emergency is serious the trip to Seton in Burnet is well worth it because you're likely to die waiting in the Scott and White Marble Falls ER. read more

From the ER I personally paid $345.00 for transportation from Marble Falls to Kerrville, the day after being seen at the ER upon return, after surgery I spoke with Kimbery L. (Director of Case Management) about my financial situation and how I cannot afford to continue to pay out of pocket for transportation to and from.. Kimberky "reassured me": "Ah don't worry about transportation I will speak with my Director and we will take care of the tranportation for you.." That was a lie and a "Used car Dealer Attitude / Tactic" with as the promised made were changed as soon as I was discharged. I was taken to the clinic this afternoon, only to find out I needed to go to the ER. The clinic nurse personally escorted my family and me to the ER. The ER nurses were exceptionally nice, as well as the two doctors that saw me. They were also quick to provide the necessary procedures that needed to take place. The facility was clean and comforting as well. I was very impressed with this hospital. read more

I bought my wife in to the ER because she was having severe leg pain due to her arthritis that she could not stand on them due to the pain. she also had a rash on her body. they checked us in . so this was at 4:30 PM .the nurse called us back around 6 pm to do the vital signs. then she told us to go back to the waiting room because they were full and had no rooms. after they had called other patients that came after us. I asked the lady at the front desk about it. she answers me that they were calling patients back in that where more severe we understood that we were not called back to be seen until 9:30PM. now after 5 hours of sitting in the waiting room . we get taken to the back by the EMS entrance in a corner hall bed B by a nurse didn't ask any questions if she needed anything just checked her vital signs after sitting there I noticed no one seem to come check on my wife until I stopped a nurse walking by to ask when was the DR. coming to see my wife by then it was 11:30PM. at 11:45pm they finally put my wife in a room. at 12 midnight I push for the nurse to ask if they knew about how much longer to see the DR. the man nurse was rude and told me that someone was coming soon. the DR. finally came to see my wife at 12:15AM at that time he asked if they did the xrays and gave medications they were instructed my wife replied no nothing has been done I've been in severe pain since i got here at that time my wife was falling asleep the doctor told her it was up to her about the x-rays my wife said that late it would be another hour for results and be treated the doctor said to us lets give you a steroid shot to relieve inflammation and pain a nurse came in and we had to wait a few minutes to make sure no reactions accursed we were finally discharged at 12;46 am. read more

I went to Baylor Scott & White ER in Marble Falls for a fractured heel, the staff, doctors and technicians were the best I've seen in a long time. I am from out of state and was treated with the utmost kindness and respect an empathy. the next day I reijturnedj to the podiatry clinic and Dr. Williams was absolutely the best explained everything and what options would be available and what I should persue when I return to he home sate, thank you for the care care and support your staff and facility are exceptional. read more

My wife had an appointment with pain management today at 2:00 pm our son was coming in to visit on the same day. We went to Austin to pick up son from airport and then headed to doctors office As we were pulling into the clinic parking lot at 10 minutes until 2"00pm the clinic called us and said that because we weren't there 30 minutes prior to appointment that the pain management doctor wouldn't see us and rescheduled us for November 17th so my poor wife has to go another month in pain all because they didn't want to do their jobs as healthcare providers and treat my wife. I have been a nurse for over seventeen years and never in my career have I seen such disregard for the patients well being as I have witnessed today. I am disgusted with the fact that I have to even give them one star. We are currently looking for another doctor so that my wife can receive the care she needs because it is obvious she cant get good care at this clinic. read more

I went to the wrong because of fractured lumbar.. meaning I couldn't walk good one move the wrong way felt horrible I had to learn how to get up without hurting so bad. They didn't know anything was broken when they wanted to send me home. I had to cry and tell the lady how serious of pain I was in until she gave me another X-ray and finally found my fractured back!! Then they were so much more caring. They are horrible in treatment they used to have a great pa that worked clinic but know has joke of whatever and there billing and insurance estimate are always wrong even if you show them the paperwork they still want money and it just dissapare . I have had multiple experiences with the clinic and hospital in Marble Falls. The staff are so nice and always offer financial counseling if you need it. The doctors are very proficient and pleasant.The hospital and clinic is state of the art, clean and beautiful photos on the walls. We have been experiencing billing code issues from BSW since we started going there in Nov. of 2017. When we go to our PCP our bill is coded that we went to the "HOSP" there by costing us much more out of pocket and also costing you more as Medicare is our provider. They say we signed a waiver for them to charge facility charge, however they make up what ever "facility" they want to charge for. I did not agree to be charged hospital charges for dr. office visits. Think I will let the Board of Ins. know of the disconnect. Ro M read more

Don't be in a hurry. On a Sunday expect 2 hour wait. And no one can tell you how many are ahead. Understaffed. The main delay was the check in process. Everybody we dealt with was exceptionally nice, from the receptionist, to the PA's, nurses and doctors. We never had to wait more the 5 minutes after we signed in to see a doctor. A special thanks to Dr. Eastman and his team. They went out of their way to help and the communicating was great. He even called me on a Sunday!!. Dr. McCreight and Lailanie (in the ER) were excellent. They both were professional but also kind and compassionate.

Expect to be over-billed for everything here. I wouldn't go here if my life was in danger! I'd rather stitch myself back together. Screwed up my billing, screwed up my insurance, over charged me for services with fraudulent "facility charges." Sent me multiple confusing bills and haven't been able to explain the actual charges. Even having "Scott and White" insurance doesn't help, they charge me for my wellness checks and it seems when it comes to billing they can't get anything right. I was charged over $250 for a walk-in that only resulted in a referral... I came in, paid $79, was simply referred back to another doctor later that week and charged over $250 for that visit! This company is criminal. Unless you are rich and can afford the billing nightmare of this horrid company I suggest you are probbably better off just bleeding out... it will be less painful!!!! read more

I'll start by saying the front desk lady Mary was very nice. David and Dustin were also very nice. However, we came in around 6pm. My daughter needed stitches in her forehead. After waiting nearly two hours to even be seen, they took us back. No one assessed her. No one properly and timely checked her for a concussion (after a 3 year old takes a large blow to the head that seems like protocol and common sense). They sent us back out after putting numbing cream on it and a bandage (no cleaning off all the blood, no seeing how deep the wound was). By the time they were ready to do the stitches the numbing cream had worn off. They must not deal with children often? Telling her in a cold voice 'be still'. Yeah ok. That'll work. We were in the ER for nearly 5 hours total. It was a very deep wound and she also had an injury on her nose. It could have been broken BUT no one bothered to even check that at all. 3 different times someone got bandages or ointment with NO GLOVES. Disgusting. I hope no one comes here with a very serious injury because, good luck. read more

I don't know how this works oh there disappeared but I've been using Baylor Scott & White and marble falls for a long time I was just in the hospital because my back pain was severe they had done a couple of surgeries on me both of which made me feel worse than I was before. There are two bent screws on the X-ray in my back and also the rods are bent and they're calling that normal at least that's what Dr Webb is saying this is been the worst experience of my life and the recent experience just put an exclamation point on the whole thing. I went in with severe back pain muscle spasms of which I couldn't move when I was at home, they found nothing and sent me home and referred me to home health for which there have been no procedure done. How can you do physical therapy in home health for unknown problems. All they did was change my medications which didn't work and then their discharge planning was an absolute disaster. I don't know how I'm going to survive this episode. A doctor's were inconsiderate and basically inept to find out what was wrong with me. All they cared about was there discharge planning and not on trying to solve the problem. Here they go again trying to kill off chronic pain patients. It's amazing how their doctors are more interested in keeping their license than helping the people they're supposed to care for. read more

I wanted to give a shout out to the awesome physicians here at Scott and white. It seems like everyone is just going on here to complain about billing and insurance issues. I've personally seen Mr. Moore in urgent care and would highly recommend him to anyone. He's very knowledgeable, easy going and over all just a great PA. I've never had any issues with any of the other PAs here at the urgent care and would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for immediate care. I can't say I've had an issue with the billing department either..hope this helps! read more

Baylor, Scott, White billed my insurance incorrectly or fraudulently. I had a X-ray done at my doctor's office, who is affiliated with BSW. However, they billed it as if it was performed at a hospital out patient facility, not a physician's office. My insurance (Humana) clearly states that my coverage for this X-Ray, if done at a physician's office is that the patient pays a $35 copay, then insurance covers 100% after that. If done at a hospital, it's applied to patient's deductible first, then covered at 80%. Even though I contacted my insurance to confirm that my doctor was an in network doctor (and he is) and I verified what my coverage and cost to me would be. BSW billed my insurance like I was in a hospital out patient facility, not a doctor's office, so instead of only paying a $35 copay, I was billed $569.73. When I called BSW customer support, I was told that they don't bill any of their physician's as doctor's offices, they bill them all as hospital out patient. I believe this practice is not only completely inaccurate, but also fraudulent! read more

I had to take my daughter to the ER due to a failed suicidal attempt and we were there all day long, from 5am to 2pm. Her condition wasn't even that bad; I only brought her in to check her blood toxicity. She took a whole bottle of midol and it made her throw up; I figured her system purged it out in time but took her just to be safe. When we got there, her bp was a little on the high side and I mentioned it to the nurse guy and he said it wasn't. I said, "for her it is a little high" (135/74). I knew she was nervous and upset from being scared after throwing up. Needless to say, throughout the day it went back down into the one hundred teens and twenties and 50's range without any medication, because she was more calm and slept some, But initially I knew that her bp was high because she got scared after downing the pills. He did really good on putting her IV lock in without missing her vein. They took samples of her blood and urine to get the levels of Tylenol into her system so they could know where to go from there. We waited and we waited and we waited. They kept us there even after the lab results came back ok, but never told us the results. We thought that whole time we were waiting for the results to come back. They withheld important information from us. I had my 7 month old infant and 8yr old with me. They were uncomfortable and my infant was getting fussy and ansy. They wouldn't let me leave to the snack machine to get me and my 8yr old a snack. I breastfeed and have to take in calories constantly. They said I couldn't leave my daughter without a parent because she's a minor even though they had A suicide watch aide sittin right at her door. I finally demanded they tell me what's going on and they said that they cannot let us leave till sge got evaluated by a mental health social worker. They failed to reveal this to us the whole time. They said if we left they would call the police. They also purposely kept her IV in, even though it was no longer needed, so we couldn't leave. One of the female nurses was a total B to me. The mental health lady evaluated her and instead of doing the safety plan this time, she "recommended" she be admitted to inpatient. My daughter said a big fat NO! She clarif to the lady that she regretted what she did and was soo glad (with a look of relief on her face) that her attempts were unsuccessful. She said she wasn't going to do it again. We told them we had a plan to take her to a spiritual healer to be prayed over and ministered to (our method of intervention and medical care). They didn't accept that and Questioned my auth as her mother and acted like she was their property. I was getting upset, the baby was getting anxious and my other daughter was ready to go home. They told me I can sign an AMA form but will be met with a police officer to talk to us and possibly detain my daughter. Wtf? My daughter was fine and was ready to go home so we could implement our plan of intervention. The female nurse there straight out made me feel like a horrible parent and a criminal, threatening the police. The male doctor was nicer about it, but not the skinny little brunette nurse. I finally demanded that a nurse come and take the IV out of her arm so we could get discharged. My baby was running out of diapers and I needed to get him home and my daughters home to be fed and cared for properly. We finally packed up and was leaving and I had to sign an AMA form and the nurse that was rude to me blatantly said, "we will make sure that a deputy meet you at your house", in a very threatening voice.it makes me angry that they treated us like they were our authority and that they owned us and they just blew off my plan as a parent in my authority to intervene and treat my daughter the way I thought was best for her. needless to say I am extremely upset about the way that they took care of us and the way they made us feel in that place. I got such good care last year at this emergency room from a different doctor whenever I had my car accident when I was pregnant, but this time this visit we had was a totally different experience that makes me not want to ever go back there again. shame on them for treating us in such away especially that nurse. read more

Took my son in after cutting his knee in the lake. After requesting that the knee not be glued, they did not want to do stitches. Washed it out with saline- soap not included. They recommended it be bandaged and let it heal on its own. Once again, stitches were requested. I realized with their emphasis of my sons worry a couple of times they didn't want to deal with the situation or maybe uncomfortable. We paid our $300 copay and left with a bandage. Drove to Austin Dell Children's where they put numbing cream on it, injected with medication- which he didn't feel much of, cleaned the wound well with soap and saline, placed 4 stitches and sent us on our way. My son would've been fine without the stitches - however, with the bending location, potential for a young boy to bump or fall re opening the wound, and longer takes to heal the bigger chance for infection. Now we are good, stitches in place and will be much easier to care for. read more

Took our son to the ER Sat morning with a pinched nerve in his back and leg. Er helped but admitted him to try to control the pain. Pain med machine worked off and on. Six times they tried to give him a med he is allergic to. Doctor releases him with instructions to take the med he was allergic to. They wouldn't listen to any advice on his situation. Went to the walk in clinic yesterday to have my 6 year old grandson checked for a continued fever for 5 days. Mike Moore, PA was our provider and from the moment he entered the room until he left, he was extremely rude and dismissive. He did not touch my grandson at any point in time, but magically knew that he was fine. He dismissed my all our concerns and said "he is fine, it takes 10 days for him to get better on the medicine he is on". When I expressed concerns about his fever, he told me I did not even know if he had a fever since I did not have a thermometer. Not only was this very disappointing to know a healthcare provider like this is actually in practice, it was clearly malpractice. When I asked to speak with a manager, Mike Moore charged out and shouted that he was the manager and wanted to know what my problem was. Choose another urgent care or freestanding ER in this area. BSW charges ridiculous prices for lab test. Make sure you ask before they do any type of test on you. I had to do a required drug screen test for my work. When I got the bill, $421 for a drug screen test. They are over charging patients. I called two other clinics and doctors in town and one lab was $32 and the other lab from another doctor was about $200. BSW doubled their prices. Dr Salazar ordered the test and she never once told me that it was going to be $421. I wonder why...probably bc she's drinking the BSW koolaid. Know before you go! read more

I just had the worst experience with a medical provider in my life at the walk in clinic with Mike Moore PA. I willing be calling the phone number to file a complaint as soon as I get the correct number because the one I was given at the front desk is not the right one apparently. Mr. Moore's bedside manner is the most uncaring, rudest thing I've seen. He gave me little to no time to describe my symptoms and talked over me when I questioned his "diagnosis" or lack thereof. He belittled me by acting like I was there to ditch out of work and nothing was wrong with me. He promptly informed me that there was nothing he could do and "good luck." I spent my $ to see this clown and left there feeling worse than before and still having no answers or no more information than before. He is cold, uncaring, and is obviously just there to collect a paycheck. I am disappointed in you, Scott and White because I've had some really great doctors in your network but this guy is bottom of the barrel. Save your money and go to another clinic because this Mr. Moore will not be providing you the care you need and deserve when you're sick. read more

Good grief! I went for a simple checkup and had one tiny quarter inch spot frozen on my cheek. I expected to pay my copay of $55 and the rest covered by my insurance...... as has always been the case with other dermatologists. I loved Dr. Ransdell, and was referred to him by my parents. BUT then the bill came. Somehow they billed the doctor visit as surgery, so my $55 copay was instead $158. THEN FOR ADDED FUN, the hospital (which I never set foot in) billed me for surgery and "other" totaling another $192. A call to the billing department, and they said those bills are correct. I cancelled my husband's upcoming appointment and we will not use this facility for anything in the future. This place is going to have very very few returning customers. read more

I had to visit the ER because my 2 year old son was having pain in his arm. His radius had become dislocated at the elbow. Jesse our nurse and Richard Anschutz, PA were amazing! I was very impressed with the service we received and we didn't spend much time there comparing to previous ER visits at other hospitals. My son received a balloon and a popsicle after his treatment. I have NEVER in my life been SOOOOOO dissatisfied with a hospital or a company. About a month ago we had brought my husband in because he had a bug fly into his ear. Not only did we have to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes when they were completely empty, we had to wait another 20 minutes in a room where nurses came in and out wanting to see the bug in my husbands ear as if it were just so new to them and put my husband on showcase like his situation wasn't hard enough on him. Then, when the doctor finally decided to grace us with his presence, he squirted a numbing agent into my husbands ear and then left the room for another 45 minutes looking for a syringe to squirt water into his ear to get the bug out, how disorganized can a hospital be that you cant find a simple syringe? I'll also add that my husband had to hold his head to the side causing extreme discomfort in his neck, but do you think they offered him an extra pillow to lay his head on or hurried the process up at all, no they continued to sit and bull crap out in the nurses station while our room was right in front of the nurses station and not assist in the aid of finding a stupid syringe. The ONLY person who even catered to us in anyway was the discharge nurse who went and got a juice for our 2.5 year old daughter after have been there for almost 2.5 hours for a bug in an ear and got her a small stuffed animal. Then, they wanna charge us almost $850 for waiting around forever when the process should have taken all of maybe an hour at most, come to find out they offer financial assistance to possibly have the bill taken care of because what person in their right mind just has $850 laying around, I submitted my husbands application 2 weeks ago, they sent us yet another bill now stating that our account is delinquent and when i call to get a hold of someone to find out the status of my husbands application I don't get any sort of response from anywhere. WE WILL NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL OR ANY BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE FACILITY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! There are hospitals in Austin/Round Rock, make the trip. I'll never bring a loved one to this hospital. In my opinion the doctors are uncaring and don't seem to understand English. The staff is young and inexperienced. I don't understand why they won't allow my family doctor to visit the hospital and help the staff understand the unique illness of the patient.
