It would seem obvious that a business supporting health care should be the most reliable of businesses, especially those supporting lab work. What could be more frustrating that an office that closes almost an hour early, with no notification and no way to discover this except to show up within their normal hours, and it's closed. A little after 4pm, and they claim they are open until 5. To top it off, it's now too late to get to another CPL before 5. I think there are laws protecting consumers from this kind of fraud, and I certainly hope someone goes after these losers. I wish I could give them a lower score. read more

we went to this minor er and paid $150 to be seen and were told the strep test was negative and no antibiotics were going to be prescribed. we returned later the same night and again were turned down and also talked down too and the doctor was rude and not happy that we returned. she stated that she is monitired by n how many antibiotics and narcotics she writes prescriptions for. yeah right. it was very apparent our 4 year old had strep throat, you couldn't miss it. the next morning we went elsewhere and spent an additional $150 to immediately be told that our 4 year old had raging strep throat and they couldn't believe we werent given antibiotics the previous day. today a friend of mine took her child to this same place and had a negative strep test and was still prescribed antibiotics. Don't bother going unless you have an appointment. I only wanted a Covid test. I tried calling for 3 days to ensure I could get one but was on terminal hold never to be answered. I finally decided to go there and drove 15 miles only to learn they were taking NO MORE WALK INS, including for simple nose swab. Keep in mind I'm sick and have been exposed to Covid. I purposefully waited until the website said there were only 2 people waiting so I wouldn't put others at risk. The place was empty when I arrived and it was 50 minutes before closing. After she told me they weren't taking any more patients, I told her my frustration of trying to call. The receptionist said, I need to call the number posted on the door next time and not the number listed on the website if you want to speak to someone. So, I am up here visiting my parents from Sacramento, California and had to seek care for a sore that popped up on the side of my head above my ear. Right away I was put at ease as the lovely Receptionist took my out of state insurance and got me right in. The staff members that I interacted with were sweet, amicable and knowledgeable. Two big things that are important to me are : 1.) That they LISTEN to me and my concerns (and actually HEAR what I know to be true about my own body!) And, 2.) Bedside Manner. Chandler, Paulette and Karen were outstanding! In fact, I can not say enough about them! They exceeded my expectations by a landslide! I had to have the place on my head lanced open and drained, then bandaged up. They called in 2 prescriptions for some heavy duty antibiotics which was ready for me at the H.E.B. pharmacy when I arrived there. They were professional yet compassionate. These women were epic in my care and if the "Boss man" is reading this, you need to give these dedicated and selfless employees of yours a raise!! This was the worst health care experience I have ever had. The nurse practitioner is entirely incompetent. She did not perform a complete physical exam, and instead decided to pressure me into repeating a Covid test (that had already yielded a negative result). Once flu was ruled out, she decided to take the lazy route and diagnose my illness as "some sort of viral infection," rather than even looking into bacterial sources of infection. When I tried to advocate for myself and request a complete physical exam, she tried to gaslight me and say that she had examined me, as she had asked me to take off my mask. Indeed she had asked me to take off my mask, but she had only looked In my mouth, not my nose and ears. I only came to this Urgent Care because my primary care is closed today and I didn't think it would be good to go another 24 hours without antibiotics. As it turns out, I have a sinus infection and double ear infection, and this NP and clinic forced me to suffer longer and unnecessarily. I finally got the medicine I needed, but the fact that I had fo fight for it is completely ridiculous. I will die before I go back to NextCare. read more

You guys have improved your care, it's super easy to book online ahead of time, but the NP Jennifer needs to go. When your child is sick and it has the potential to turn into walking pneumonia she needs to treat it very seriously. She sent us home to treat his cough, congestion, and wheezing with an inhaler. Told her we were going out of town so could she send in more prescriptions just in case it gets worse and she wouldn't. We were back in there 2 days later with walking pneumonia. All that does Jennifer is drive up the cost of healthcare. Thank God I knew it was going to turn into that and decided to bring my kid back before it got really bad and ruined our trip and cost AMERICANs more money. Jennifer, treat patients aggressively when pneumonia is going around so we dont have to utilize the ER/hospital. That drives up everyone's cost for healthcare. This review does not reflect on the staff at the Marble Falls location. This comment is in regards to the support service within the company. Recently, I took my nephew for an ailment at this location. The staff was very friendly and the visit was quite pleasant. Since they have several locations throughout Austin. I thought I may use their service when the time is needed. My nephew parents' neglected to renew his health insurance plan. So, I the staff there convinced me to purchase a discount plan for 3 months. Which I gladly did. Four months past, I decided to cancel the plan. I called the toll-free number as instructed. The automated voice service prompted that they do not accept cancellation via voice calls. All cancellations have to be submitted through their website. I requested a cancellation through their website, and I thought it would be over with. After reviewing my bank statement, Nexcare has been charging me all these months. I contacted my bank the dispute these charges. My bank advised me to try to resolve through Nexcare first. I cannot reach anyone at Nexcare for over an hour. All goes to voicemail, again I don't have time to play phone tag. Finally, I made contact with one of the customer service representative. She was very friendly but did not provided the information I need. I asked the representative what happened to my email that I request for cancellation a month ago. She stated they didn't have any record of my communication. Anyways, this was escalated to the supervisor. This case is still ongoing. This is a clear understanding that this company does not have enough support staff to run the company. I resigned to ever using this company's service again. read more

Last time I came here I gave 5 stars. This time, I never got to see a dr after waiting an hour and 50 minutes from appt time. I arrived at 10:15 for a 10:20 appt. I made it back to get vitals about 11:35z. At 11:55 I was told there was one person in front of me. At 12:20 I had to leave for another drs appt. It appeared that my appt meant nothing snd I was just placed in the queue. I was never told the wait would be that long, just that there was only one provider. If they cost handle the appts in a timely manner, remove the ability to make new ones. If I had known the appt time meant nothing, I would have come much earlier to insure I could make it to next appt. I would have exoected almost 2 hours would work. Also, I went for a uti and had already provided a sample. They could not test the sample and call with results because the dr hadn't ordered the lab. So.. after the dr finally shows, the still had to process the sample and the dr would have to see me twice. I have no doubt they would provide good care, if they could manage the patients. read more

Friendly receptionist and brief wait. However, the NP that examined me apparently was in a hurry. After a very quick exam she prescribed pills for bronchitis and apparently left the building. Fortunately I was traveling to MN a few days later and, feeling worse, I went to an urgent care there. After an extensive evaluation, including a chest X-ray, I was diagnosed with pneumonia. With the correct medicines and inhaler I'm now feeling much better and on the mend. I won't be going back to this urgent care. read more

Key factors that made this care superior that of other providers. 1. Thourough dianosis procedure. Medical staff led by Dr. Gary made no assumptions and diagnosed the issue by thorough but not excessive testing. 2. The staff were aware of the patient's needs and were exceptionally kind. 3. Their diagnosis reveled a potentially significant health risk that was potentially missed by higher levels of care in recent past . We look forward to seeing if the prescribed actions provide relief. 10/21/16 Was seen , treated, and out with an hour. Professional staff. And Michelle gave me 2 injections of medications I know are painful to administer ( I'm an RN) and all I felt was the needle prick. Thanks so much Michelle. I have a huge needle phobia. My PA Vaishali was great. 11/15/16 I have to add to my review upon receiving my EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance. Seems that they aren't in my network. My doctor sent me there when they couldn't get me in on a Friday and I was getting progressively worse. My doctor said "we have partnered with them for our overflow". I went in they accepted my insurance card and I paid my copay and left. Imagine my shock when I get my EOB saying I will owe the full amount of over $600.00 because they didn't have a referral or pre authorization and they aren't in my network. So be sure your insurance pays for this EXPENSIVE care or wait and see your own doctor. My doctors office has sent in a referral for me so I'll see if my insurance will pay for part of this. read more

This is for the Marble Falls Texas location. Took husband in for what we thought was his "usual" sinus infection on 27 Dec. Tested positive for Covid. Was told to take him to Burnet ER for infusion (1st wrong information as when we got to Burnet we were told they stopped giving infusions because they adversely affect Omicron variant (2nd wrong information from Burnet ER). When we were finished with the NP, she stated to bypass checking out and go to Burnet ER (3rd bad piece of advice...get your COVID results BEFORE YOU LEAVE). Day 8 of COVID, not getting better, called Burnet ER for infusion and they NEED TO COVID TEST RESULTS for the infusion paperwork. I called NEXT CARE number and wasted over an hour on hold so drove to Marble Falls. Arrived at Marble Falls Urgent Care at 8:15 so I can be first in line to get a piece of paper (Covid Results). Could not obtain them on-line via an account set up. When they opened the door, people in line went to other entrance so when I walked in, others were ahead of me. I stood my ground and said I had been there since 8:15 and I was not going to get in line behind these 3 people who used the other entrance. Open the FRONT ENTRANCE FIRST. And trust me, THEY WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR EARLY. read more

Forget about doing the online check-in. It does nothing to get you in any more quickly. Unbelievably, on a busy Saturday, they have ONE employee here seeing people. It doesn't occur to them to actually have STAFF on a day when they know there are going to be urgent care issues? When you do see a PA (be aware that, after the wait, you're not even seeing an actual MD), you will get, at maximum, 2 minutes of time. So tell them your health issue QUICKLY! You don't have long! One star is generous for this place. It's horrible, and I wish lower ratings could be given. Don't go there unless it's your absolute last option. And, even then, think twice. Try to wait until a real doctor's office is open and go there. read more

I have taken all 3 of my kids here once each. They are the only place open on Sundays besides the ER and we use Scott and white fore everything else. This place is great. With 8 kids, we sometimes need to see someone on the weekends. The wait is almost always reasonable and the staff is super polite. I went on a Sunday and Cindy checked me in and was extremely nice. I saw Shelly, the PA, who immediately diagnosed my issue and prescribed a shot and some medication. Michelle gave me the shot-- totally pain free! Everyone was so nice and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. A great place! read more

Worst experience ever! We were there for 31/2 hours, paid a $125 co-pay. Flu test was negative, strep test was negative. Was told that the flu test was probably a "false negative" and was sent home to just treat the symptoms. Paulette Walker the PT was nice as she checked me in, but then was VERY unnecessarily rough even after I asked her to go gentler with the Q tips for my Flu and Strep test. I told her it doesn't need to hurt that much. She didn't even acknowledge what I said and instead told me to keep still. I couldn't believe what she did and her lack of patience! She could have at least TRIED to be even a little gentler, after I requested that, but instead jammed it down my nose! I had the exact tests done by the red head medical assistant last week who was EXCELLENT, there was no pain or discomfort from her (at same location). Paulette made my nose really HURT! I've had much experience, working in a hospital myself, enough experience to know she does not need to be working with the public like this. I feel sorry for any children that will be traumatized by her roughness. She has terrible bedside manner and an obvious lack of pride she takes in her job. read more

My husband and I have been in this clinic 3 times now and have had bad experiences all 3 times by the same doctor, Gregg Mercier. I was in the clinic on January 19 with Cedar Fever. Ask for a Z-Pack to take because I get the same symptoms each year. This is prescribed and I'm over it before it goes into bronchitis. Doctor refused, gave me a shot of steriods and a prescription. Two days later I was worse and called back to clinic requesting Z-pack. It was finally prescribed and I was well in two days, like always. The doctor would never look me in the eyes while talking with me. He kept staring at the floor. My husband came down with same symptoms 2/6/17. Told him to ask the doctor for Z-pack. Again doctor refused, prescribed Amoxicillin. It has been 4 days, he is worse and I have made an appointment with our normal physician tomorrow to be seen. He is a truck driver and has a very hard time getting off work to see a doctor. So now I'm paying for two doctors visits Instead of the doctor listening to our needs. We are in our sixties and we know what has worked for us in the past. My husband stated he had problems with this doctor before and he also stated he never looked him in the eye and that he did not care to go back Not only did we have this problem, but our insurance charges a co-pay of $30 to be seen. They charged my husband $30, but had charged me $100. When my husband ask the receptionist about it she changed the subject and blew him off. I had to call their billing dept in Dallas and it will take 12/14 days to get the money back that I was over charged. When I ask why so long, I was snapped at for even asking the question.
