Given the amenities, the nice room presentation, and the other neat amenities ( fridge, etc) it's not a bad place for the price. We planned a weekend in frankenmuth, we are from Chicago. We drove 5 hrs there to find this place an absolute dump!! Cobwebs in corners, caked on dirt on ceiling fan, burnt lamp shades, decor was all miss matched. Sheets were colored on with pen all over. TV 15 years old, broken trim, holes in walls and couldn't see out windows they were so bad with fog In between panes. We looked for somewhere else to stay all booked. And we were told our reservation was non refundable. Stayed that night feeling bugs crawling on me all night. We left next morning. This place will not refund our money, not even the night we didn't stay. They also charge you a $100 cash deposit no body tells you about and charge you )4 to use the ATM. STAY AWAY FROM THUS PLACE!!! Save yourself the trouble I'm going through, we left back to Chicago Saturday. read more

So it was a good price, but that was all. I was safe and the room was comfortable. I went to the pool, and the chlorine was so intense i could only manage about 5 minutes. There is supposed to be breakfast from seven till nine or 10. I checked in at eight; didn't seem like the breakfast was there yet. At 9:30 I asked the front desk clerk about breakfast. She said oh the breakfast person called in sick. I asked if she had any little muffins or some fruit behind the counter. No, they did not. It seems like there should be more than one person designated to set breakfast out. I will be talking with priceline about this. read more

Please do yourself and anyone with you, SKIP THIS HOTEL. Pay more if you can or go a bit further out from the area to get a place that is clean and cares about its cleanliness. We was in the area to attend the festival, we booked ahead and thought all was set. We walked into the 1 of our two rooms ... a king sized suite with jacuzzi tub... and it was NEVER CLEANED. There was beer bottles, unmade bed, full trash can with hair over flowing from it, and lights was all left on. Being Honest I was afraid of what I was going to find walking in to the room to see it more clearly. I went down right away to front desk to try to see about a solution or a different clean room and my husband and kid went to the 2nd room to inspect it, only to have them find stains on the mattress. We usually are very thorough with our inspections of any hotel to ensure safety and no bed bugs, so they checked everything. Pulled blankets and sheets back, under the fitted sheets and in pillow cases. They didn't truly CLEAN the room. It was just surface clean and even then wasnt vacuumed as change and dirt was still on the floor. The room had an order as well that just wasn't clean. When I talked to the gentleman at front desk he said for the king sized room that was dirty he could upgrade us to a bigger suite at no additional charge... We checked this room out and found a hair just laying out on the fitted sheet, before I even got to pull the sheets back more to check it. Then upon further inspection I found a ROACH in the air vent for the room. We decided to not stay in ANY of these dirty rooms and just make the 3 hour trip home. I checked my BANK ACCOUNT to find they didn't refund me anything but charged me 3 TIMES for rooms. I called the General Manager this morning only to be told that I will receive the refunds for everything ACCEPT the 2 double bed room as it was "THAT" dirty and it appeared we "Sat" on the bed... meaning we "used" it... So I am still fighting this $96 they don't want to give back to me and my bank account is still not showing refunds for the other amounts. read more

I booked this room, then I needed to make it two days. Stephanie was really wonderful and I appreciate all the hard work from her and the other staff. I know that this is a midscale hotel, which is why the rates are affordable. This is one of four hotels that was on our whirlwind travels. Let me start by saying the workers in the laundry was polite and professional. The front desk manager was horrible. Attitude for no reason. So lets get to the crap, literally, while i was on the crapper minding my own business i look down and see a BEDBUG!!!!!!! Wish there were negative stars!! 10/10 do not recommend. Check in was supposed to be at 3, but it was after 5 and still waiting. Finally checked in, room was not vaccumed and mirrors and furniture smeared and dusty. Was in room in jacuzzi tub and someone was trying to come in room using card. Thankfully had security bolt on, but no one responded. An hour later, they returned again, never knocking just trying to come in and I was able to confront them the 2nd time. Housekeeping saying she was checking the room to be sure it was cleaned, and it was her the 1st time but she left when she realized we were checked in. So why come back 2nd time and not even knock either time. Felt pretty shady. Bathroom door was busted, and didnt stay closed. Had a make shift chain style lock but nowhere to fasten it so bathroom couldnt be used with privacy. Hallways reeked of marijuana, but it was a non smoking hotel (I understand its Michigan, but geez!). There were some people in the hallway for several hours not sure what they were doing as they were just standing in one area. Pool was not open, which was a disappointment, and should be communicated during the booking process. Heard children screaming all night and guests directly above must have been having a party with WWE because it sounded like people were being body slammed all night, so very little sleep was had. Checked out asap in the morning and didnt even have any of the breakfast, just wanted to get out of that place. Employees looked like they just woke up and rolled out of bed to come to work. Uniforms may not be present, but housekeeping looked like the people staying at the hotel. I am still confused why the housekeeper was trying so hard to enter my room, and I am glad I was in there. Even when I went to the door and she realized we were checked in, she kept trying to push past me. I was concerned for my safety, as well as concerned about leaving my belongings in the room to the point i took pics to be sure it looked same when I returned. The price was decent, however, we should have been offered a discount since the pool was unavailable, and we couldnt check in on time and had to wait. This was not last minute and we booked a week or 2 in advance. Chose this hotel due to decent reviews, but will not return and this experience has changed my thoughts on the Wyndham brand. Will also add there is no elevator and I was unable to use the stairs and the front desk lady acted as if this was an inconvenience to her because she had to have someone clean the room faster (even tho we were arriving 2 hrs past check in) read more

Unfortunately I can't go above a 1 star. We picked the hotel because we needed a close stay to a wedding venue. I should've known it wouldn't be the best when the computer the front desk clerk was using was caked in dust. Then onto the elevator where the rug didn't look like it was washed or changed in years. The room was ok clean, but the comforter, sheets seemed pretty wrinkly if they were washed fresh. They just must not fold them and just ball them up. We carry Lysol with us, so everything got a spray down. I kept saying to myself, it's only 1 night. The door didn't even have a bolt lock, it was broke off. They had the door open in the hall near the elevator to where they keep storage, the housekeeping cart, etc. It was disgusting. Things were thrown all over, it was so filthy inside, I almost lost it. There were people just sitting in cars in the parking lot, which gave us an eerie feeling. They offer free breakfast but there was no way I was eating there. We booked a King bed handicapped room thru Booking.com and Baymont had no record of it. They assured us that they could offer the "exact" same room, so we headed up there. Our king bed was a small size queen, more like a bonus double. It was late and we were tired so we tried to sleep. We left early since we weren't able to sleep and will never return. To their credit, they had a great roll in shower. The alleged repairs around the room and at the shower drain were actually funny. We were surprised that they hadn't used toothpaste or duct tape. Rooms are dated and in need of repair, air conditioning doesn't work well. Elevator is slow and sometimes doesn't seem to work at all. Breakfast is gross, cold french toast and pancakes to be heated on foam in the microwave, cold biscuits to go with crockpot sausage gravy, I looked at it and went back up to my room to go to cracker barrel or speedway. Skipped the pool and hot tub but could hear kids screaming in it when we pulled up outside. Double queen Rooms only had two towels? Won't be staying here again. read more

I've spotted two bed bugs at home since me and my family left a childs birthday party. I spotted one full grown the same night i got home. Just spotted another which has caused me to leave this comment. I left my bag in the room for around 10 hours and me and my children came home. We have never had any bed bugs in our house. No signs of their eggs, young adult size, babies or anything in our home. In fact this is the first time ive seen one in person. Ive heard of this happening to other people before at this location. I did not think to leave my bag in the car. Since the first siting i have checked everyhere and there are no signs. For them to have been adult they have to had been iin my bag. read more

Rude staff, filthy common areas, bad area, people wandering around in parking lot, lots of in and out traffic. Place doesn't feel safe. Carpets are nasty. Tub faucet constantly ran, wouldn't shut all the way off. Lamps were missing bulbs, not burned out but missing. The bedding and mattresses seem new so that was nice. I wish I could rate lower!! I was there for a conference, and this hotel was suggested. Upon entering, the lobby was clean, they young African American lady behind the counter was professional. Entering into elevator, is when I should have left. It needed a major facelift. My room smelled like musk, and then me and family woke up with Freakin BED BUG BITES. Management was alerted, there was a complaint filed, doctor statements were also submitted. Never received my refund. All I received was the run around. This happened in November. We are now in May.. Our stay here was in the Summer and I waited this long to write a review because, at check-out and after, the manager promised to compensate us for the horrible experience we had there. After several calls with excuses and no action, plus emails that got the runaround as response, it's time. We stayed here for 8 nights. Knowing that this is an older property, I won't comment on general conditions, décor, or even cleanliness, although I certainly could. This review is about the housekeeping and management. First night was fine. The hotel was full due to an event in the area so we could not get a double room. We got a King with a roll-a-way bed for my daughter, unpacked and made ourselves comfortable as we were in town to visit family for the week. The next morning, I left a tip with a note to housekeeping explaining that we'd be there for the week and asking for extra towels. Got a nice note back in response and a couple of towels, not a full set. Second day, when we returned to the room in the evening, no service had been done. I purposely had left the "Service Please" sign on the door, and someone had come into the room, placed the sign on the bathroom counter, turned lights on and opened the curtains, but no beds were made, no towels picked up or replaced and no trash emptied! I called the front desk, explained the situation and was told to bring the trash bags and dirty towels down to the lobby! When I did so, I was given empty trash bags and towels (not even a full set for one person). The next day, the trash was emptied but no beds changed. Next evening, again, trash was not emptied, beds made or towels freshened. Again, I was told to bring the trash and towels down to the lobby. There was a different person at the front desk and she barely talked to us. She was sitting in the lobby eating, watching TV and chatting with a friend. We asked to speak to the manager, left a message for him to call us. No call. By the next day - now we're into 4 nights with no bed linens changed or fresh towels, we left a written note for the manager to contact us. Again, nothing. This continued. I had resorted to taking the "Do Not Disturb/Service Please" sign with me every morning when we left because one excuse was that the sign was on the door. Mind you, the sign was then left on the counter so even IF it had said "Do Not Disturb" on the door, someone was still coming into the room. Lights were turned on, furniture moved, curtains opened. I even took photos of how the room looked before we left so compare with how it looked when we returned. Still, no response from the manager. Finally, we spoke with him and the next day we received a "full service" meaning the room was made up as at check-in and fresh towels were placed in the bathroom BUT the same sheets were on the beds! (We had had to get an inflatable mattress to place on the rollaway bed because it was so uncomfortable and when we asked for a new one we were told they were all that way.) When I told the manager about how bizarre it seemed to me to be told to bring my trash and dirty towels down to the lobby, he explained that calling the front desk was a tactic used to lure the night clerk away from the front desk so "they" could bum rush the lobby and steal from the front desk. What kind of place was this? By the end of our stay we were so frustrated with the situation we didn't want anyone in the room. The manager made a great showing of saying he'd have his own mother come in and do our room, but we were checking out the next day so we really just wanted out. The manager claimed he had not gotten our messages then later retracted that. It was such a circus. He promised to compensate us for the experience, even calling us after we'd checked out to say his manager was going to credit us with 15,000 pts to our rewards membership. Well, the points never showed up. Calls were not returned. Emails to the rewards program and Customer Care resulted in one saying to contact the other. Ridiculous! I've worked in hospitality and stayed in many hotels/motels. This was by far the worst experience. read more

The area may not be the greatest for some but definitely not terrible for booking in the Flint area. Unreal. Pictures online are very deceiving. Hotel is extremely dirty and run down. When we walked into our room first thing you run into was the bathroom. You walk through the bathroom to the actual room. Inside the shower area is a very cramped toilet next to the shower and a wall. Beware if you are claustrophobic! Needed toiletries and extra pillows had to go to front desk to pick up. No one would bring them up. I would give this hotel an actually 1/4 of a star. If at all one star. Just terrible. read more

Smells like old cigarette smoke, pool room has half finished plaster repairs, hot tub had strange yellow discoloration, workout room is sad like a kid's birthday party where no one showed up. Absolutely horrible. My sister Kari Lewis and I "checked in "in" the morning", just got our keys, left for the day and came back at night. Pulled the sheets down and several looong hairs and short hairs were on the pillows and sheets. A huge, gross stain was on the mattress. The carpet hadn't been vaccumed in I don't know how long. A man was banging on the door across the hall from us yelling, "Open the F****** door!". We thought it was ours at first. He did this over and over again. We called and asked for another room. We were told they would get back to us soon. 25 minutes went by, never heard anything, so we went downstairs to check out. The girls said she was the "only one" working besides the security guard and he was standing there in a t-shirt and jeans. (No uniform at all). He went to "check out the hollering" and told us there was "nothing" he could do about it. That there were "construction workers" staying there and only one had a key, "probably". 2 drunk people in and out of the hotel. A "hooker" was outside trying to get her guy to "let her in" if he wanted her service through the side door parking lot. We checked out and got another hotel only to be CHARGED THE ENTIRE AMOUNT FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK. ELI the manager said we would not be charged. He lied and won't return out calls now. He told the booking service we went through that we stayed in the room. We left the sheets turned down so they could see all of the hair! The hotel is NOT SAFE, IS LOUD AND DIRTY! MANAGEMENT LIED. As a Wyndham Resort supporter, I am shocked that they allow this kind of management. Shame on them! read more

If you are looking for the Ritz, this ain't it. However, for clean rooms, a friendly staff, an indoor pool, and a complimentary breakfast which, at the time of our stay, included bacon, eggs, fresh waffles, etc., one could do a lot worse. I was well pleased with the rates considering what we received. If things there do not change, my wife and I will likely go back when visiting her family. We've stayed in some real questionable facilities for higher rates. I would recommend this place to friends and family. read more
