I stayed at this fairly new hotel. The stay was very accommodating and pleasant. The pool and area was clean and relaxing. I enjoyed the heated whirlpool. However, there were signs posted that anyone under 18 yrs of age was to be accompanied by an adult. There were 4 male children ungoverned and pretty much not watched as the adults were on the outside patio while the young kids were jumping and playing very ruff in the pool prohibiting at times the 3 year that was with me a pleasant experience. This hotel has many amenities, quiet, and nice overall. Its not far from stores and chain restaurants in the area. Overall a very nice experience and stay. read more

If I can give a zero, I would...dirty, old torn furnitures, dirty bath towel hanging in the bathroom, elevators don't work but one and it's in the end of the entire building with a back door that does not lock...very disappointing!!! We were treated so well by all the staff at the Hotel . It was clean and comfortable and the pool was truly heated which my great niece loved ! The rooms were so nice and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was a couple of hot items, cereal, bagels, yogurt and juice, coffee or milk . They had quite a few toppings for make - your- own waffles. This place is a must stay if you're in the area . Great value! read more

Stayed here over the weekend for a wedding event. My wife and I are always focused on the cleanliness of a hotel. We were for the most part surprised how clean this hotel was. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing we saw that needed a bit more attention. There were spots of mildew in the shower and shower head. The front of the toilet needed cleaning as well. That may sound like a lot, but we have seen so much worse. There is a small fridge in the room. The bed is hard, but we slept ok. The staff here are super friendly. The breakfast is good and offers an option for pretty much everyone. It's close to stores and restaurants and there is plenty of parking available at the hotel. We will for sure visit this location again. read more

Stayed here for the weekend while in town for business and had a nice time! Our room with the whirlpool tub was reasonably priced at $129/night. The room was clean and spacious. The pillows are super squishy which is right up my alley! My absolute favorite kind. Parking is free and breakfast is included with your stay. There is an indoor pool but we didn't use it. There is free WiFi and it seems to have a strong connection. I love that they offer razors or a toothbrush, small necessities if you forgot your own. Every interaction I had with the employees was pleasant and they all seemed super friendly and professional. My only two gripes: the walls are SUPER thin, like every single word spoken in the hallway echoed like they were standing right by me. When housekeeping was coming through for a few hours playing music etc it was very distracting. Also, the shampoo and bath products offered are by Neutrogena, which sadly is a company that still tests on animals as of the time of this writing. I make it a priority point to NEVER support cruelty to animals, so I would encourage this hotel property to look at changing their products to a different brand such as Briogeo, The Body Shop, Acure, Drybar...I mean really there are dozens of other options in this day and age. We would stay here again in the future for sure! But we'd also pack our own shampoo and some ear plugs ;) read more

I stayed here a couple different times. The night front desk receptionist was very nice. There was a guy in blue collar work clothes that creepily sat across from the front desk for hours on end. I would see him when I checked in, when I would go for dinner and get back from dinner. I heard one guest ask the receptionist if she was okay and she said yes. Other than that, the rooms were pretty standard. Everything was clean. The breakfast setup was back to pre-COVID too. read more

Customer service is top notch here. From the pre check-in texts to the actual check-in process, everything was fantastic. However, unfortunately the night's sleep was the worst I've had in a while. Maybe I'm the princess and the pea, but between the oscillating noise from the mini fridge, the thundering air conditioning unit, and the thick pillows, it was impossible. I sleep on my stomach, and the pillows are not mushy at all. As a Hilton diamond member, I'm used to hotels having a few options in the room, even at the Hampton inns. I'm giving it 3 stars for the customer service and diamond benefits, but the sleep was awful. read more

Safe with a Nice staff and Fresh Clean Hotel- Nice easy on access to roads. Had a couple issues but as I enter my 3rd week here on business they have handled everything professionally, efficiently and friendly. Hints: No refrigerators unless you get it early - so book in advance and verify as I learned my lesson week one. Also, buy your own bananas - at 6:15 am they are almost invariably out and that is the only thing I eat is fresh fruit on the decent hot breakfast. The other fresh fruit is actually tasty though - so I went and bought my own. The food choices in the area are okay but the town is small enough that you can drive ten minutes. I did not like the Redwood Inn they recommended - high priced, average food and average service. Get 10% off with room key but still not worth going to eat there. read more

I got kicked out due to overselling. I didn't even get a chance to be legitimately kicked out, as if I punched a wall. I am a Hilton diamond member, and I had noted my check-in time. I even had a pre-assigned room, room 426, on the app. So, imagine my surprise when I arrived late at night because Flint is far from DTW, and I'm told I'm to stay at the Best Western across the street. Did the hotel even bother to call me to confirm I'm coming before giving my room away? Nope! Later a friend informed me I should have received $300 cash on the spot as a diamond member. That wasn't offered. I contacted the corporate office, and they sent a check, but no one to this day has provided any rationale. What's worse is that because of this hotel, I was one stay away from making diamond status for 2019. The corporate office promised they'd let me have diamond status again, but the fact I have to wait until the end of this month to re-contact to re-evaluate my status means this is the third time I have to contact the corporate office about this stay! read more

This hotel was clean and quiet, the service prompt and effecient. I was surprised by the slow internet service, it was dreadful. Wifi dropped two or three times and failed to stream hulu. They did have a full TV lineup. The breakfast is typical for a Hampton - don't expect a menu. Stay here if you are travelling on i75 or us23, especially if it's just a night or two. This is a perfect location if you are visiting GM CCA. read more

Pros: hotel is clean, beautiful, and very friendly staff Cons: if the people in the room next to you decide to talk at 1 AM, there is no noise cancellation. I haven't even seen the rooms yet to tell if they're nice or not. I will update this once I get a room. BUT for now, the reason why I gave this hotel a 1 is because I arrived to this hotel at 7:30 am. I have a reservation today for 7 days. Obviously I wasn't expecting to have a room early in the morning. I patiently waited and left to run some errands to kill time. But than I came back and watched 6 different groups get a room before me and waited only minutes and I'm still sitting here in the lobby watching every single one of them get a room as I'm writing this. It's either they forgot they didn't give me or a room or for what ever reason, I must have an amazing room waiting for me. But either way, it's just not right that everyone else is getting a room before me and I'm not even being updated on how long it will take for my room to be ready. I watched them check in the 7th group after I complained. They finally got me the room after. Telling me that they were sorry it took so long because the washing machine wasn't working. I'm like the washing machine didn't stop the last 7 groups from getting checked in. The room is nice except that it has this weird smell in it. The bed sheets are also not completely dry. Omg after a much needed nap. I wake up ready to go to Walmart to purchase a few fruits and veggies for the week, but come to notice that the room has no fridge. I couldn't even request one because they have no more. But they're willing to store your items in a fridge downstairs, ummmmm no! And there is no microwave here. Omg I'm going to starve this week. I was going to check out right now and check in to the best western which has it all but they're booked this week. My goodness. read more

Great experience from the start. We had to be in Flint at 8 am and we're done with our appointment by 9:30. Even though check in isn't until 3 pm the super friendly staff was able to get us into our room 5 hours early which was greatly appreciated. The hotel and room was very clean, very easy to find and in a great location near stores and food options. Free breakfast next morning was also great. There were cheaper options available but just like everything, you get what you pay for, definitely would stay again. read more

This was the nicest Hampton I've been to in a long time. Location is central to the Flint airport and other places of interest in Flint. The rooms have been updated to the new style and so has the lobby. The lobby/breakfast room is huge and has a higher ceiling so it makes the already large room even more impressive. Standard amenities: free breakfast, free wifi Extra amenities: free self-serve laundry and a row of Diamond member parking Good to know: fridge is not standard in rooms. If it's snowing, they do have staff on hand to plow their parking lot in the morning. They even shoveled around your space if you needed it. read more

We like Hamptons and this one is great. It is midway between our vacation spot on Lake Superior and home. We found the best price from Priceline.com and treated ourselves to the king bed with whirlpool. The room was on the top floor just around the corner from the elevator and at first I wondered if we would hear elevator noise or people noise. I did not have to worry about either one. Nice place for the value

We have stayed at this location numerous times but I wanted to review the most recent adventure. This location is excellent. It's convenient from I23 and 475/75 and close enough to the Flint and Grand Blanc areas to make for easy commutes. It's also perfectly far enough away from the in laws to have a little peace when necessary. The hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Since rooms were at a premium that night, my wife and I got a room with a hot tub. The bed was firm and comfortable. It was very clean and seemed to be well maintained. The whirlpool tub which my wife tried seemed to be good but maybe a little loud if you wanted to use it late at night. Breakfast is complimentary and has the usual mix of scrambled eggs, bagels, and waffles machine, fruit, and oatmeal. The only negatives from the most recent visit would be cost (they were not offering a AAA rate) and the fact that it took a while to checkin. The checkin was slow because we checked in very late and no one was at the front desk for at least 5-10 minutes while we waited in the lobby. It was understandable based on the time of checkin so other than that it was good. For all the options in the area, this is the place to stay. read more

Stay here on our way to Niagara Fall. After a very good stay at HI in DeKalb IL, we were a little bit disapointed with this HI. No fridge and microwave in the room, and my husband need his insulin and diabetic supplies to keep regrigerated. A little upset at first but then the staff was really nice, they offered to keep hubby diabetic supplies in their refrigerator downstair. The good thing is they have ice machine in every floor & since we have cooler with us so we just get some ice from the ice machine, put all that need to be keep cool & everything is good. The hotel itself is nice & clean as HI always been. The staff very helpful. Will stay here again if we ever back here in Flint. read more

Based on the internet Flint Michigan sounds like a scary place to go. However it was very nice. The hotel is in a very safe part of town. I stayed here for business for 2 weeks. Nice staff and clean rooms. That being said, make sure you get on the side of the hotel away from the interstate if you do not want to hear 18 wheelers whizzing by at midnight. I had a couple of problems with my room the second week, but they addressed the issues very quickly and fixed the problems. Only negative, the first week I stayed there, the last day something was wrong with the water heater and I had to take a cold shower. Not a happy camper. When I returned the next week, it was fixed, and I had no problems with the water. read more

My family and I recently stayed here while we were in town for my daughter's BMX race in Davison. What a first class hotel! Wow! We travel a lot both within our home state of California and throughout the country. This is, by far, the best hotel we've ever stayed at. From the time you check in until the moment you leave, you are treated like a VIP! Friendly and warm staff. Clean, modern rooms. What more could you ask for? During our stay, we were standing by the elevators on our way downstairs to use the pool. One of the housekeepers who was nearby, noticed we were going swimming and offered to bring down some pool toys for us. Wow! She went way above and beyond what was expected! This was probably the worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed in. The beds weren't comfortable, the staff was indifferent and distant, and the breakfast was lacking. My back is killing me after sleeping on that mattress for 3 nights. And I'm only 33 so I can't imagine what that bed would do to my back if I actually had back problems. Regarding the staff, they hardly said anything to you and looked as if they were preoccupied and had better things to do rather than greet guests. Pros, it was clean and a good price. So that was a plus and the only saving grace. read more

Room was clean and the staff was really nice. I stayed here for two nights and three days and I had no complaints. They had an excellent breakfast bar that was open until 10 AM. And they were are on a different water system then the Flint city. Which was very important to me. I don't with 2 to 3 different front desk clerks and they all had a high standard for customer service. I commend the management on their training and development. read more

The room was nice and the service as well. However, the pool area was unattended for a long time I slipped and fell along with a few other guests. I did inform the service desk the next morning and she did tell me since I was a rewards member I would be accommodated with points and the manager would call me Monday morning. Well, I guess Monday morning never came because I never heard from the manager. As far as the points I am still unsure if any was added to my account. After calling the 1-800 corporate number I assume I was told again someone would call to follow-up and yet have I heard from anyone. read more

I am a HHonors member, so I checked in online. When I went to the front counter to get my keys, the agent did not welcome me or offer a welcoming smile. That was the ONLY let down in my experience here. I walked into my room and was amazed by the interior and cleanliness of it. The house keeper left a nice little note that said "Have a nice stay!" which made me feel welcomed and was very pleasant! Throughout my stay I asked some housekeepers and front desk agent to help and they gladly offered. Definitely recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone in the area! read more

Great breakfast variety - had fresh sliced papaya this a.m... 24/7 workout room with sets of dumbbells up to 50lbs, bench that will incline, and enough floor space for walking lunges - was able to do my usual home routine - a great treat while away! My wife and 2 daughters (ages 14 & 11) have now stayed at this hotel several times over the last 3 years when visiting Frankenmuth and Birch Run. It's a great price and the quality is far beyond other hotels I've stayed at costing as much as $50 more per night. My kids love this place. Pool area is wonderful and the free breakfast makes this place a great value. Friendly staff, modern facilities (only a couple of years old) and really comfortable beds! They wouldn't honor the Yelp offer...so they lose a star. This quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. I'm a restless sleeper so quiet is important to me for a good night sleep. I've been here twice this month. I've never heard a toilet flush or a door slam. The rooms are spacious. The bedding is white, clean looking, and soft.
