Room was dirty. No housekeeping services unless requested. No one told me about this rule. Apparently housekeeping and clean towels are provided every 3 days! I was told housekeeping did knock on my door to check and I told them I didn't need anything. However, I was gone all day until 9:30 at night visiting my very sick sister in the hospital. What was I told this ? Creamer substitute sits out for hours and is thick and gooey. Breakfast foods leave much to be desired. Will not eat it. I was suprised to see the poor reviews on the hotel . I found it to be very clean,quite and reasonably priced with a good breakfast buffet. I will stay here again when I'm in LaCrosse. I have stayed at hotel that were much more $$ and this good. read more

Very Dirty, the hallways and elevator don't appear that anybody has vacuumed them recently. I checked with front desk if they had a exercise room before we booked. Yes it does have an exercise room but, There is no air conditioning. It's about 90° in there. There is one workout bench and one elliptical both very old. Room key does not open the door. Our bed had red stains all over the comforter not sure if it's blood or some sort of food The bathroom door does not stay closed. Which makes taking a shower tricky with my kids in the room. Overall experience wasn't great. The bedding felt damp and had yellow stains on it. My wife didn't like it at all. Both my group and another experienced a loud whining sound coming from rooms near ours early in the morning. We're guessing this was from showers. Didn't check out the pool, so can't comment on that. Continental breakfast was good. In addition to the usual cold food options, you've got a nice waffle maker and an easy to use omelette maker. The room was super crowded because it's kind of small. NOT where you want to be if you have a hangover. This was a Sunday morning though so, weekdays might not be as bad. The backdoor doesn't close if you let it swing on its own, which is a little concerning. You have to yank it shut to make sure it locks. Lastly, the customer service was good. read more

Well we stayed there last night and the fire alarm went off for about an hour. My family and I waited in the parking lot for 30 some mins and no fire department, come to find out the system is not connected to the fire department and no one called the fire department either. A few hours later we were able to go back to bed, although with no explanation and no form of repayment. Definitely will not be going back and I would not recommend. read more

My room had bugs, I left the clothes I was wearing and headed down to the lobby but nobody was around. I ended up sleeping in the bath tub till morning. I told the front desk. They do not return phone calls, and when I called they refused to refund the night. It was on a company card, so it wasn't even going to my pocket, it is just the principle. We stayed here with our children. Of course we had to hit the pool. On the way to the pool we were verbally assaulted by other guest who were clearly under the influence of something. The pool wasn't very warm and some of the jets didn't work in the hot tub. While walking down the halls the floors squeaked. Our room was very clean but one of the beds was super sunk in and also squeaked every time someone moved. In the morning, the kids were very excited for breakfast. When we got down there, other guest were forewarning us of how bad it was. The waffles were sticking so bad that you couldn't even make one. There was no juice, no milk, no fruit, no danishes, and only white bread. The cheese for the omelets had sat out for at least the 20min we were there. We had to ask for them to make coffee because it was empty. There was also a trash bag sitting right outside the breakfast area. They DEFINITELY need a breakfast person on staff for the weekends. The front desk clerk was running around trying to do everything. Such a disappointment. She just kept apologizing and the other guest were telling her to call the manager. We left before we knew if the manager was ever called. We won't be staying here again. read more

Good place and serve the breakfast and also too close to interstate. It a little noisy. I was up couple times during my stay and could even ask for another room, because I stayed one night. Hope them to grow and improve silence. It's frustrating especially after a long trip. read more

This hotel is a runned down version of Baymont Inns. The front entrance was dirty! There were garbage bags located outside the front of the hotel! There was dust and dirt as well! In the hallway located on the first floor, there was a huge non-functionable vending machine! I was told by the manager, that the hotel was under construction, but there were no signs posted! The pictures that are posted online shows this beautiful hotel, and pool,which is mis-adverstisement! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The prices for the rooms are over priced! I can say the staff was nice, and the breakfast was reasonable. read more

I'm not sure that this "hotel" deserves even 1 star. We woke up in the morning to find a LARGE cockroach in the bathroom. Furthermore when we called Orbitz to cancel our second night's reservation the Front Desk Manager would not give any credit! Never, under any circumstances stay here! read more

While the place was definitely rundown and under construction, the customer set was wonderful. I was in town for one night for a funeral and my brother's girlfriend had booked a room for herself, my brother and me to spend the night. When we got into town we discovered that most of our family were staying at a different hotel nearby. Wanting to be with family, we decided to check out early and switch hotels. We fully expected to pay full price for our original room at the Baymont. However, the manager on duty noted that she had checked me in, I had used the room briefly, and we had all returned several hours later. We were not changed for the room and she was very understanding of our situation. It was something small but definitely appreciated. read more

The motel staff deserves a 5 star. They were wonderful, helpful and very polite. When I walked into the lobby, there were fans blowing air around. The air conditioner had broken and not fixed. The lobby and hallways were quite hot in August. We went into the first room that was assigned to us. The air conditioner did work, but it was making a sound that would not be pleasant to hear all night. The young lady at the front desk found another room for us and it was OK. This motel's decor is quite old and just worn out. The carpet was stained in both the rooms we saw. The furniture was old. The bathroom sink needed to be replaced as there were stains that will never come out. The motel was as clean as it will ever get with such worn out furnishings. The staff does the best they can with what they have. The only reason we stayed, was that we called 4 motels and there was no room anywhere. We were stuck unless we wanted to spend lots of time in hopes to find another motel. The bed was comfortable. The ice machine on our floor was broken. Should this property ever get remodeled, they do have the staff to take care of it. I felt bad for the desk people having to work in a hot environment, overheated and but still had the energy to provide great customer service. We will not be staying here again. read more

I can't even give 1 star! The place was filthy, feces on the bath mat! Spilled milk on the TV, bedding stained and soiled. Pool and hot tub not working. Les who identified himself as the manager actually said "I'm so sick of hearing the customer is right, the customer is never right" And that was the attitude that prevailed during our conversation. If you are a local resident you aren't welcome at this hotel! Booked a room here for a night so my boyfriend, his daughter, (who do not live in town) and my daughters could have a night out and do some swimming. This was after we had booked elsewhere and discovered at check in that the pool was closed. When I got to the Baymont to check in I was told I could not book there because I was a local resident. When asked if the reservation could be changed to my boyfriend the clerk said no because he was associated with me. I had booked a king whirlpool suite so clearly I wasn't just looking for a cheap room to deal some drugs, prostitute out of, or have a wild party in. I'm a 40 yr old mother who was using a credit card and valid driver's license to check in. It's sad a hotel would discriminate against local residents. I'm not originally from this area and I have family and friends who visit often, I'll know what hotel to not recommend for their future visits. read more

Beds are worn out and soft. Sheets have holes in them. Run down. However, Pool area is nice.

This hotel has been run hard with no maintenance done in years. Temperature of the entire building was hot, not cleaned well and management could care less. Was asked if I had been drinking when I brought up the safety issue of all exterior doors being unlocked and then was told I was free to check out. My van would have been more secure for my family of 5. Hot tub works when it wants to, ice machines do not work on floors 2 and 3. Definitely stay somewhere else!! read more

Do not go here! Bed Bug Hotel! Rooms are not cleaned very well, very dusty and dirty. Comforters only get washed when stains are on them, maybe a few times a year, at the most! Spoke with a housekeeper who told me half of the rooms have been closed down for a while due to bed bug problems. Manager is complete jerk who had no idea what he was doing. Rips in sheets. When I went in to the hotel I went to a room 311 to be exact there was one king size bed and one queen and there were one kid and two adults so then we went to the bathroom and the we found out that the bathroom door doesn't work we went to go to complain and then we got a different room but then the downgraded us with two queens and a smaller tv and my whole family was pissed read more

This hotel was charging 149.00 a night, not even worth half of that. The hot tub was not working. Pool was freezing. Hardly any seating around pool. Most people had to stand. No pool towels to be found. Had to ask the front desk. None of the ice machines was working. The outside doors were not locked. Anyone could walk into the building. The bed felt like sleeping on a hill. Hardly any towels in the room. We asked housekeeping to put extra towels in our room when they cleaned it. They said they would and didnt. Had to ask the front desk. Got woke up bright and early to the loud sound of what sounded like a tea kettle. Turned out to be another guest showering. Everytime someone showered thats the noise we would hear. The toilet got clogged for no reason. The showerhead was so clogged water just spit out. No water pressure. The walls looked like something was spilled on them. Cob webs in almost every corner. Front desk under staffed. Very thin walls. Heard people stomping around all night. Breakfast attendant so not friendly, probably because he was overworked. Was the only front desk staff person we had seen our entire stay. Would not recommend at all. read more

We originally had told the hotel staff we were getting in at 3 am or later and needed a two night stay. When we got in at 3:30, they had cancelled our reservations. The night staff comped us the room and only charged us for the second night. We were thankful, as we had originally been on a company card, and because of the screw up, had to pay for the hotel out of our own pocket. Our sheets were soaked and our 150 a night room because of the jacuzzi, had a broken jacuzzi. So we essentially paid significantly more for nothing. We chose not to complain because of the free night and decided to just deal since they had been so nice. There are multiple dog owners that live in the hotel whose dogs bark all night with no comment, however, we had a knock at our door at 10 pm to be yelled at because our dog had snuck out and stayed by the door a few hours earlier. On our second morning, we got a new "bill" saying we'd be charged for the first night. Because of this, we decided to complain about the awful accommodations. The manager was rude and said "she made the rules not her employees" the hotel working in full condition is not worth the price and the rude employees and awful experience makes it worthless. read more
