Of course I looked to Yelp for reviews, pictures and suggestions. I came across Esthetique Facial Spa on Adams Street. No appointment necessary for threading services. I walked in, signed in, and was threaded all in a matter of 20 minutes. Upon arrival one client was already in the chair, which is directly in the front to the left of the spa. My esthetician was calm and steady handed, she's everything previously described by other Yelpers. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly, paying much respect to my scar. Not as painful as I thought. I wanted to give them my credit card so that they would charge me monthly and they mentioned that they work with a provider named Cherry and I should go through them. The total amount was to be paid through Cherry in 6 months 1st payment starting in December in the amount of $771.43 and monthly thereafter with no interest if paid within 6 months. What I did not know was that Cherry would pay Saintly Skin the whole amount upfront. I needed to move back to CA and let Shontell, the receptionist and Penny, the practitioner know about this two months ahead. Until then I had received 2 full body and 1 partial treatment yet the service provider and Cherry have kept charging me even though I wasn't receiving any treatment. When I mentioned this to Shontell, she told me that I needed to contact Cherry directly to resolve the issue which I had done exactly what she said. However, they told me that they can not do anything on their end and it must be resolved by Saintly Skin. I explained to Shontell the situation and she told me that she would let Kevin, the manager know. I've called numerous times, left messages but no response. It took him about 6 weeks to respond saying that they don't have any refunds for whatever reason whether used or not and I should have paid more attention when I filled out and signed the forms. He even sent me a photo of the posted sign on a piece of paper in the waiting room saying that there were no refunds which I neither saw nor paid attention to. However, it was never mentioned or explained to me by the staff that once you sign this there's no return. I also did not know that the whole treatment would take 12 months. When I consulted with one of the practitioners, she gave me a piece of paper on it written how many sessions needed for each body part mentioned above 4 & 8 weeks. I thought I'd be done in 8 weeks. What she forgets to mention is that EVERY 4 & 8 weeks. After the 1st session when I made an appointment, she gave me a date 2 months ahead. When I asked why so late she said that oh that's how the treatment works because of the hair cycle. Anyways, I explained everything to Kevin telling him that it's neither fair nor ethical to charge me for the services I didn't receive and asked for a friendly solution. But he was determined to eat the Bread of Shame, for unearned money his business was taking from me. What he doesn't realize is that there's something bigger than all of us. Whatever we do in this life will come to us in the same manner whether good or bad. Although I find Unsaintly Skin unprofessional, unethical, and corrupt, the staff were very kind and friendly, especially Penny, she rocks.

She has truly TRANSFORMED my skin and because of her, I was able to get my confidence back. Initially, when I came to her, I had the WORST breakout of my life. Cystic, blackhead, whitehead, you name it (pictured below). I had it all. The breakout lasted over a several month period before I saw her (approx. 3 months or more) and showed no signs of stopping, just getting worse. I go see her anytime I possibly can to get my skin treated or when I have a question about a new product or skin regimen. I trust her 110% and she has more than delivered, over and over again. She treats all of her clients with the utmost professionalism and care, as well as personalizes her care to YOUR specific skin. Over the summer in college, when I went back to California, Mandy also did research for me and temporarily referred me to an acne specialist she trusted. In the meantime before I got back, they helped me. I have never gone back to anyone else about my skin -- not even a dermatologist -- because I have never needed to. Mandy knows her stuff and I have been able to fix my acne problem just with her. My face is living proof that what she does works. It might as well be magic to me, because I couldn't have done it by myself. All of the time and investment I've spent on my skin with her has been totally worth it and I would do it again if I ever needed to. Today, I still have acne trouble, but that is mostly due to hormones. Either way, Mandy has been there by my side to help me figure it out and make it manageable.
