Went with a few friends yesterday. Wasn't impressed with how rushed we all felt. They definitely didn't have enough technicians for the reservation and walk-ins they had. Nails turned out uneven, and they didn't use clean tools between customers. My male friend's tech was trying to do his pedi and another person's mani at the same time. We specifically made reservations for a slow time so we could enjoy ourselves. That didn't happen. Drinks weren't offered. Massage chairs were comfy though. Polish also started chipping a couple of days later. I blame it on the rush job- and the fact that the nails were clipped so unevenly. Only reason I didn't give them 1 star was that I had no problems making the appointments. Woman on the phone was nice and friendly. We will not be back though. read more

I went here for a ombré full set and a pedicure. The shop looks a little run down but that's not why I'm giving 2 stars. My nails do not look ombré she did not blend the pink and the white good at all. Also my nail tech stopped multiple times while doing my nails to go to the back to eat or something which made my full set take almost two hours. I've gotten a full set many times and it has never ever taken that long. And my pedicure was not that bad but not the best either. They were nice. But for the prices I will not go back. And they cut my cuticles to blood and trimmed my toenails to short and also cut my skin on my toenails as well. I saw reviews of women's nails breaking at the nail bed easily and soon after being done, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried this place because I had ran into someone and liked her nails so I went with the place anyway. MISTAKE the same thing was happening to me not even a week after getting my nails done, two broke off. I went to get them "fixed" not even five days later the same ones break, along with two others and which resulted in a painful break and bleeding. I Recently moved to Metairie about a month ago and my nail tech moved out of state. I have been searching for a nail place since she moved . That's when I found lakeside nails on yelp which was near my new place . I went to get a gel manicure and pedicure on a Sunday to pamper myself . By Tuesday my toes were chipping (I usually were open toe shoes ) and by Wednesday my gel on my nails lifted, chipped and the way my cuticles were done caused my skin to peel upwards (normal hand washing and no hard labor) . My nails normally last 2 weeks- 1 months .60 down the drain I wish I would have just made an appointment somewhere else currently waiting for my skin on my hands to grow back . I like to come here and get pedicures. They have a good selection of colors, decent prices, they protect the tubs with plastic bags and they don't use that "cheese grater" on your foot. I liked the ease of booking an appointment with them through Facebook, but the techs could have been way more professional. I came to NOLA from from NJ to elope thanks to covid ruining our plans. If that wasn't a disappointment in itself, as I told the tech this all she did was judge me for not planning better. As I asked her for recommendations she kept asking me " Why you no plan better?" I didn't need that. Also, they all kept pressing me to get gel on my toes. The women who painted my nails did a horrible job. She put globs of nail polish on my toes which didn't dry and I had to come back an hour later because it smeared when my foot lightly brushed against something. I had no choice but to go back and they were saying that I should have gotten the gel. In my 20 years of getting pedicures, I never had gel on my toes and I've never had that happen. After the pedicure it didn't even look like I had one. It wasn't a big deal since I was wearing closed toe shoes for my wedding. If I ever need to get my nails done in Louisiana again, I will be sure to avoid this place. read more

I've been to several places and these ladies are wonder . Hannah is so talented and pays close attention to my preferences. The other ladies patiently went through a host of not so basic after all reds to help me find my favorite of my favorite . I've had two pedicures there and both visits (first time I did the whole show the second time did the basic with a gel finish so they last longer). Again..fantastic. I love my girls over there I have been going to them for like a year. I no complaints. Lynn is my favorite her mom Hanna too. My appointments are always on time and even if they are busy they still make me feel comfortable offering me drinks or anything I want or need. And for manicures, they have lots of nail designs, shapes, and styles available (gems, dip powder, marble design, etc.) and walls and walls of colors to choose from, many which are brand-name. They are very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the service. They accept walk-ins and often will squeeze you in within the hour. If your acrylic ever ends up breaking, all you have to do is come back in and they'll fix it for you (i believe for $5-10). They also have a little punch card that rewards you after 10 services. Every time i end up going to a different nail salon i end up regretting it because i am never as satisfied walking out the way i am when i come to Lakeside Nails. read more
