Always fun vibes here. I love the fact that they have live music on the weekends and plenty of entertainment for the kiddos. The service here is phenomenal. They make amazing drinks. That weekend I tried one of their signature pizzas and an item on their Hawaiian themed menu called the loco moco. Last summer, I did a road trip through Louisiana and Mississippi leading up to Labor Day weekend. I stopped by Bayou Teche Brewery on the day I did the following loop: Lafayette to Baton Rouge to Opelousas to Bayou Teche Brewery to Lafayette. I loved that the brewery was in a more rural area of Louisiana's Cajun Country with lots of character. The drive to the brewery was incredibly scenic, and I arrived around 5 pm Central Time on a weekday. The overall vibe during my visit was pretty chill, and it was the perfect spot to grab a beer (blueberry sour) and relax while waiting for the rush hour traffic to ease up, so I could have a leisurely drive back to Lafayette. There were arcade games on site, picnic tables outside, a decent selection of beers on tap, and service was solid. I also noticed multiple people stopping by to buy packs of beer to go. I would definitely stop by again if the opportunity ever presents itself! read more

They offer outdoor and indoor seating, pinball machines for entertainment and some food to accompany their brews. Ordered the muffuletta pizza and a Mexican lager beer. Pizza tasted just like a muffuletta sandwich, very good. Pizzas must cook in a couple minutes - they came out fast and nuclear hot. Glad there was cold beer to put out the fire. We love this place and take all of our out of town guests here. The pizza is delish as well as all of the appetizers. The beer is good. The cocktails are good. It is very pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the breeze and the shade when the weather is nice. This is our go to spot to just hang out and visit with family/ friends. Also a good spot to bring board games. There is plenty of seating indoors and out with live music on Saturdays and Sundays. I highly recommend you try it! read more

Being from California, I had high expectations when I came across this brewery and they did not disappoint. It was an amazing experience. Great selection of beer, food, liquor and ample parking and sitting areas. It was a hot day and the Swamp Thing IPA really hit the spot. So, if you're following me through New Orleans and beyond -- you know that I love me some breweries. Any opportunity to taste a delicious beer from the source is a moment I crave. My husband and I decided to make the trek to Bayou Teche from International Fest in Lafayette. We have always been fans of the beer (having purchased it from the grocery store), but hadn't had a chance to see the brewery first hand. Off I-10, it's about a 20 or so minute drive, in what feels like the back country. Beautiful drive, and when you arrive, you instantly know it was worth it. The brewery is massive and hard to miss, sitting in the (very large) parking lot. If they're brewing (which they were when we visited), you'll know it by the delicious smell of the hops and yeast in the air. The primarily outdoor tap room is just to the left of the keg building. There are about a dozen tables with adirondack chairs nestled under the willows and cypress trees. It's a cozy spot to sip away the afternoon. Dogs are welcome and there are a few outdoor games like cornhole. There's a regular food pop-up that serves pizza and sandwiches. Our plan was for boudin, so we didn't partake. Next time! You head inside for the beers. Flights are $10 for 4, and they have a very wide variety from ales to pilsner, lagers, IPAs. Even a mead and some VERY high ABU beers! We each got a flight and tried a nice selection. If the weather is bad, there's some limited inside seating. There's often live music, and we were treated to a pickin' circle (a family reunion). Several couples were dancing to the cajun tunes. Absolutely beautiful day! read more

When folks say it's a bit out of the way, they're correct. Most oasis's are! I'm from California and I make it a point to come here as often as I can when visiting family in Lafayette. You can't beat their pizza. It's not possible. As for the beers, I want to try them all!!! I by no means have a refined palette or a very knowledgeable background in brewery's, but I know what I like!! Whoever thought to put blueberries and beets in beer??!! I forgot the name of it so I'll just call it delicious! My favorites are Cajun AF and Cinco de Bayou! Highly recommend making the trip out to LA 31! This is a great family run business! The first time that I went I took the brewery tour! It was nice hearing about all the history and how far they have come. There is a fantastic outside area. Rocking chairs, picnic tables, and a great fire pit. There is also an outdoor stage where Cajun music is played every weekend. Saturday night is trivia night and something you will not want to miss! It is a great place for family and friends to meet up! It is also kid friendly! There is now a pizza oven outside, so I cannot wait to try that! We went on a Saturday evening around 5:00 p.m., and it was packed with people already! There was a food truck, snow cone truck, and a cigar truck. The band was playing Cajun music, and my toes started to tap. I was a bit surprised that there were so many children there playing alongside the crowd, but it didn't feel odd, more like a music festival. We got a couple of beers and got some food to eat before we took the tour. The beer was really good and cold. The variety of beers was a bit overwhelming, but all the ones we tried were very good. The tour was fun and Floyd made it a good time as well! I ate pulled pork tacos thank were awesome, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his boiled shrimp. The food truck food was a hit as well! I usually love brewery tap rooms. This time was very different. Almost no beer from LA31 on tap and they are serving Yuengling in a their craft brewery?? There used to be 20-30 LA31 brews available on tap but this place appears to be going downhill fast. Probably won't be back soon read more

What a diamond in the rough! We went to celebrate a friend's birthday that had heard about this place and what a treasure in the middle of country and farm land. The pizza was delicious- lots of varieties. We tried the following pizzas: C3 Pepperoni, Feed Me Seymour, It Came From The Pit and the appetizer Enter The Cracklin. I am in love with this place and so glad we ventured out to it. It was so pleasant sitting in the courtyard eating, service was great and the atmosphere so relaxing. Well worth the trip off the beaten path!!! We heard about this from some friends of ours who interview the owners for Living A Stout Life. Straight up win!!! We had the smoked boudin hand tossed pizza and .... ummm..... several beers. Started off with the swamp thing ipa. Even my wife, who's not a fan of ipa's liked it. Had the Loup Garouw- a dark Belgian stout with a smooth coffee taste and a bit of a chocolate overtone. Definitely a place to kick back and have a few. My husband and I stopped here on a trek from Chapel Hill, NC, to Austin, TX. The brewery has been a friendly place for folks pulling camper trailers allowing them to stay overnight. We arrived just before closing on a Tuesday night, and one of the owners (its a family business) was gracious to keep everything opened while we tasted a number of beers. The beers are outstanding - creative and solid brews. Wish we had the opportunity to camp there longer (and they allow it), but had to move on to make Thanksgiving dinner. read more
