Wonderful place to grab a pint, flight, or a few beers to bring home! Happened to go on a Friday night before a ticketed event, but managed to grab a quick pint in the half hour before they closed for regular business. The interior is super cute with long tables with stools and smaller tables with chairs. There are even a few booths tucked away. Our bartender was super sweet and patient with us during out first visit and even helped us pick out beers that we might like. It's interesting to note how many other reviews note a plethora of IPAs - my guess is this is seasonal because there were lots of malty stouts in early March. I love a rotating menu, so this makes me excited to go back. I was between the Wendy Peffercorn and Field of Nightmares (I think? It was a chocolate peanut butter stout.). The bartender let me try both and it was hard to choose! I ended up with Wendy Peffercorn, but I definitely would have been happy with either. Looking forward to going back, maybe even for Trivia night on Tuesdays! This place is great if you wanna chill with your friends and watch the baseball game or any sports. The seats are the kind of chairs you don't want to sit for a long time though. I feel like if they invested in their outside seating, it could be the spot. They also serve pizza and chips and canned soda. I don't believe they do brewery tours. I know this is a craft beer place.. but I really do like bar food & I was looking for a Good pizza! The thin crust had a good flavor. I had the margharita with pepperoni. It looked and tasted like a pepperoni, I kind of missed the basil but it probably wasn't added after cooking in the massive electric pizza oven. As a big fan of thin crust pub style pizza ( check out The Pizza Bible by Tony Gemignani or one of his many restaurants) there's such a high bar to pizza artistry, it would be unfair to compare but I did enjoy this pizza more than most off the higher end pizza in town. The sauce deserves a mention too. Actually all the ingredients were quality & tasted great, hitting all the right marks, sans the the Gemignani touch of roasted garlic oil & fresh chopped basil applied after taking out the oven. I'll be back for the pizza when the craving hits & I can bring it home to add the "finishing". With a canned coke the cost was just under $18. Oh & service was awesome! Got the impression it was an owner behind the bar. He said it's been open 7 years. Dog friendly inside the bar area too. It wasn't crowded at 4pm on a Wednesday but there were a couple of groups at the large tables. They have a nice outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. read more

Visited Rally Cap again today. This place really is such a great addition to BR. Having a brewery on this side of town is nice, and it is such a nice and clean brewery. There is plenty of space as well, so you're not crammed in a tiny building like many small breweries. The blonde ale is delicious! Often, blondes are tasteless, but this one is both light and flavorful. I hope to make Rally Cap a more frequent place to visit for myself. read more

Another new kid in the Baton Rouge brewery scene! The wait was worth it, though, and Rally Cap held its grand opening on 12/14/19. Located in the Industrialplex area of Baton Rouge, it has a very warehouse feeling as you approach. (I love a brewery in this setting as it reminds me of the area where Epic and Ratio are located in Denver - it just feels right!) There were about 20 parking spots available and since it was Saturday, other businesses were closed so you could easily park there. There is plenty of seating available and plenty of TVs to catch games and other events. For their grand opening, they had 6 or 7 releases. You can get a taste (5 oz), a 10 oz, or 16 oz. I was feeling IPAs that day, so I started with the Rainbow is My Favorite Color - around a 6.4%, super hazy IPA (found in the picture I posted). My next one was the First Pitch IPA, around a 5%. It was pretty hazy as well, but had a bit less bite. Both were excellent. I had a sip of their blonde, too. I believe it was the Endless Summer. I will have to grab a glass of that one next time. Another awesome thing is that they have a whole merchandise section with shirts and hats, but they also have a cooler with crowlers you can grab to go. It's nice to have those readily available and you don't have to seek them from the bar. The venue is crisp and clean. After we were there a little while, they opened the two large garage doors and had a nice cross breeze go through. They had Geaux Cuban's food truck there for opening day, and I imagine they'll be a good spot for food trucks to pull in. I'd love to see an outdoor area built in, but it would not be 100% necessary. I look forward to seeing what else Rally Cap brings to the BR brewery scene! Welcome! read more

Cool baseball themed brewery with 10+ beers on tap made in house! Rally cap focuses mostly on IPAs but recently they've spread their wings with sours and stouts. Based on what I've tasted, they should continue to diversify! Their Big Red Machine was a big red Berliner Weiss that was a magical ride on my taste buds. As far as IPAs go, the 5 vs. 12 double IPA (named after the NCAA tournament matchup) was one of my favorite IPAs of the quarantine! They are constantly trying out different flavors and when we can actually go out and sit in breweries, it's a great spot to watch a game and enjoy a delicious beverage! Rally Cap is a new brewery in Baton Rouge and is an absolute home run! The brews are very tasty and the staff is knowledgeable and very thoughtful. The first couple of times I was there a bartender noticed my USAA affiliation and told me, "Thank you for your service." - I was floored. The atomoshpere is great for a sports bar. There is no in-house food, but they always have great food trucks at the brewery. Rally Cap is excellent at posting to their social media so you know what to expect and they hours they will be onsite. No underage patrons allowed but dogs are welcome! Great place! read more

I was able to visit during a Yelp event and I'm so glad I did. Tucked away, but close to Siegen, this brewery is absolutely outstanding. With a fun baseball theme and about 1000 TVs playing every game you can think of, it's a great place to come hang out just about any time. If you aren't into sports, no problem! They had a collection of board games and lots of events (trivia nights, etc) to keep you coming back. The place was immaculately clean and the bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive. As far as beer goes, my husband who doesn't like IPA likes their IPA. I'm not sure you can get a bigger compliment. I really enjoyed Launch Angle and #everysunday and even though I'm not usually a fan of stouts, their Failed T-Shirt Company pleasantly surprised me. This place would be awesome for a date night, to watch a game or just because their happy hour looks on point. read more

I really enjoy the environment here! Not only are the flights reasonably priced, but the establishment is very kid friendly. You can also bring your own food and snacks in and there are tons of board games. My favorite beer I've tasted so far IN MY LIFE!!! Is a collab between Rally Cap and 7th Tap called 7th inning stretch and when I yell you it gave everything it was supposed to?!?! It did. It's delicious. Try it before it's gone. Was here for the 'Opening Day' event. It's a really neat brewery with a baseball theme inside for all you baseball fans. Inside has plenty of open seating. A food truck was available outside for snacking while enjoying your craft drink. The beer is good as well. Opening day was a success I believe. read more

I am an insurance adjuster from Chicago here working IDA. I have been in BR 5 weeks. I found Rally Cap about 3 weeks ago. I cannot say enough good things about the bartenders and regulars that welcomed me into their bar. Owner Kevin is a fellow baseball freak. Kyle is a great guy even though he is a White Sox fan. Bartenders Stefanie and Jeff were awesome. Regulars Corey, Eric, Chuck and others will make u feel right at home. A little hard to find, but a nice spot once you get there. Really enjoyed the apricot sour, Omaha Dreams. Watch they don't skimp you on can purchases. Bartender short poured my pint order into a tulip glass, then held the can back. I had to demand it and poured about another quarter of it in my glass. At $7 a pint plus tip, I expect it all, brother. Can't fault the brewers tho, nice job. read more
