This is the thank you email I wrote to Mark & Laurie Allgaier, who were our contacts throughout our move: Just a quick note to say thanks to you and your crew for the excellent moving service from Bowie, MD to Norfolk, VA on July 6 and 7, 2022. Yesterday the guys -- Franklin, Adam, Taylor, and Henry -- arrived at 9am on the dot, got the lay of the land, and got right to work. They took excellent care of our property and ensured that floors, walls, doors, etc were protected. They asked questions when they weren't sure about something, and took extra care of each item (even identifying and wrapping up some items that we had overlooked.) Franklin's inventory was very thorough and he explained everything to me. All of the guys were so helpful, courteous, and professional. They closed up the van and took off by 12:30 -- not bad at all for 2 levels, 3 bedrooms, and a pretty full garage. Today the crew -- Franklin, Adam, and William -- helpfully texted to let us know they'd be arriving early. They were here by 7:30am and again got the lay of the land and got right to work. Again they took excellent care of the property, asked questions when needed (and even moved some things a second time when we asked them to) and were super professional and friendly. (I was especially impressed with Adam, so please thank him for us.) They finished up the last piece of furniture by 11am -- super impressive! I also wanted to say that I enjoyed working with you both -- I appreciated the up-front manner in which Mark conducted the walk-through and talked me through how the process would work and how the price would be calculated. The price was substantially better than the other quotes we received (by at least $3000) and the process of approving the contract and paying the bill was very smooth. I hired Allied Van Lines (specifically working with their affiliate Bayshore Moving) for a recent move from N.C. to D.C. I'd highly recommend for interstate moves. It wasn't the cheapest quote I got at $4,300, but with movers, you get what you pay for. I wanted to work with a company that is experienced in interstate moves, has the proper insurance, doesn't do any scams like requiring a deposit or cash upfront, and that I could trust would deliver my items safely. Highly recommend! They assign you a designated contact who stays in touch throughout the process -- updating you on when your team will arrive, quickly responding to questions, and keeping an eye on how it's all going. The movers themselves were friendly, efficient, and careful with my stuff. We had two movers load my apartment, which took a few hours. Then, we had a team of three do my unload in N.C., and they were done in about an hour and a half. Nothing was lost, nothing was broken. And for reference, they loaded my stuff in D.C. on a Friday and I received it the following Thursday. read more

Fantastic move from Washington DC to Marin County in California. The packers and movers were polite, quick, careful and always said "yes" when I asked if they could take an extra bike or paintings. They had plenty of boxes in all shapes and sizes and didn't charge any extra fees. The move was more expensive than other companies but you certainly get what you pay for. It's so important to have professional, caring and efficient movers. It's hard enough leaving a great life to head across the country to a new home. The same was true on the other end. The movers came on time, put together my bed, helped me connect the TV and went above and beyond their job. My experience with Bayshore Allied was a mixed bag. They were kind and patient with my elderly parents when they picked up furniture and art from their house in Centreville Va which was fantastic, but the delivery portion to my house in Richmond Va was pretty poor. In particular a one-off outdoor ceramic wall hanging, that survived being moved from South Africa to North America, was cracked, broken, and placed behind my outdoor grill where it was not checked before we signed off on the delivery. Yes, that's our fault for not searching it out and checking but I still feel poorly done by. That art is not replaceable, I made it abundantly clear before initiating business with them, and I paid a premium for the service. I'm not saying don't use Bayshore Allied, just don't let them leave until you have investigated every, single, piece for damage. read more

I was blown away! My plans were to move from Maryland to Delaware... a simple move. Everything was planned until I changed course and decided to move to South Florida instead. It was no issue at all. They re-did my estimate and the financial impact was not as impactful as I thought it would be. They packed and loaded me on the same day. Uriah ("U") and Thomas showed up on time and immediately got to it. I moved my TV's and computers in my personal vehicle. I was struggling with getting the TV's in my truck -- U & Thomas stopped what they were doing and happily helped me. The packing and loading process went very smooth with no issues. Fast forward 1 week. U and Thomas said they would be at my new home in FL around 9:30... they showed up at 9:05. (I LOVE promptness). They unloaded everything and reassembled the furniture with ease... nothing was broken, nothing was missing, nothing was scratched. Everything showed up in FL in the same condition it left MD. This, by far, is the most flawless move I have ever had (and I have moved 5 previous times). I am blown away with how seamless this was... from the sales process (Mark is awesome) all the way through them unloading me. If I move again, I will definitely call Bayshore Allied first. You should as well, you won't be disappointed. read more

I do not write many Yelp reviews, but I am writing to warn anyone who may be considering using Bayshore away from this awful company. They charged me $16,000 for a cross-country move. The price was steep, but I felt after pricing several other movers, that my belongings would be In good hands with them. Boy, was I wrong. They packed my D.C. row house on Sept. 10 into a shuttle that was offloaded onto another Allied Vanlines truck to be delivered to Arizona. The truck broke down, and the delivery was delayed four days later than originally guaranteed. They said they would compensate me $100 per day for the delay. A few weeks later, they reneged, saying because I was moving my goods into a storage unit and not a home, I would receive no compensation for the delay. My husband and I also noted about a third of our boxes and furniture was missing when the van offloaded. The driver said he could do nothing. Two days later when we unpacked our boxes, we confirmed that more than $10,000 worth of goods was missing. Bayshore said they located the shipment back on the East Coast and would send it immediately. Today is October 13, and despite numerous calls to their customer service rep, I have no ETA for when the remainder of my furniture, clothes, kitchen and home goods will be delivered. I am furious. There is no reason why a cross-country move should take more than five weeks. The original estimate was 7 to 10 days. I am considering stopping payment on the $16,000 and buying my missing items myself. This has been a nightmare. Do not use Bayshore. Run away. read more

From the survey to the delivery, by far the very best move we have experienced. Sincerest thanks to John, a seasoned professional in the moving industry who is thorough and exacting in regards to surveying household goods and providing moving costs as well to Anthony, who is a highly responsive move coordinator, quick with solutions and always positive. Some parts of our move from Annapolis to San Diego were fine (e.g. packers thorough and careful, driver and crew courteous and knowledgeable) BUT, they lost about 1/3 of our household goods. We paid in full for the delivery, as required before items can be unloaded at the destination, but when the unloading was over we saw how much was missing. Later learned they were left behind in the Manassas warehouse. Finally found after 6 days, but now 3 more weeks have passed, and a more than a month since we called for delivery, and the items that Allied screwed up by leaving behind are STILL NOT DELIVERED. They originally told us 5-7 days to make the cross-country trip. Now more than a month. They have my money as well as about 1/3 of my household items. read more

When I used this mover, they went by two names: Bayshore Transportation System, Inc. as well as Shoreview Moving and Storage. Their websites are http://www.bayshoreallied.com and http://shoreviewteam.com. You will see that the street address and phone numbers are the same. I used this mover to move from a townhouse in Northern Virginia to a high-rise apartment in Pennsylvania. The employee who came by my house to give me an estimate showed up on time, and he was polite but a little odd. He also kept getting confused. For example, after he gave me the estimate for the move, he said that I was moving from an apartment to a storage unit. The storage unit came into play because I could not move all belongings from a house to a smaller apartment, and so I had to move some of the belongings from the house to a storage unit that was near the apartment. He could not tell me what size of truck would be used, so we were unsure if they could deliver to my storage unit, which was necessary to store my belongings but had a narrow road. Thankfully, the employees who would do the actual physical moving showed up at the correct location at the correct time. There were three guys. They expertly packaged and loaded my belongings into their truck. Unfortunately, my belongings sat in a warehouse in Dulles for a whole week while the company tried to find another customer who was moving to a nearby place so they could put multiple customers' belongings on the same truck. The company never found a second customer, so they finally shipped my belongings by themselves after one week. The office employee who was responsible for scheduling my delivery promised me that she would give me "at least 24-48 hours" before my belongings would show up, but she did not. She gave me less than 24 hours of notice before my belongings showed up at my apartment at 8 AM. As a result, I was unable to reserve the elevator in my high-rise apartment building. When I called her direct line to find out what was going on, she pretended that she was a receptionist and would transfer my call to someone else. I tried to get another day when elevators could be reserved, but she said no. I did not get to select my date of delivery. She said that they could not give me their "customary 24-48 hours notice" because their "phones and Internet were down". The three delivery guys showed up at my apartment in Pennsylvania two hours late without any notice. They were the same guys who had loaded the stuff in Northern Virginia one week earlier. They said that they were told about the move the previous afternoon and left Virginia at 4 AM in the morning. The movers took about a few hours to unload all of my belongings. Only three wine glasses broke--no big deal. I was thankful that my fancy china did not break. They wanted to leave before all glass objects were unpacked, so I was sure to have them unpack the glass objects and make sure that they were not broken. The bill for the movers came in days later. The dollar amount was slightly less than the quoted amount. The bill did not explain why. read more

From my first meeting with John Seibert everything was handled with the utmost professionalism. My movers in Delaware were prompt and efficient and moved efficiently to pack up my home int their truck. Ginny and Kathleen in customer service were with me every step of the way as we made our 8 day trek down to Florida to coordinate the delivery of our belongings. The movers in Florida were prompt, courteous, neat and even gave me some great pointers about living in Florida. If you are considering a move I urge you to call Bayshore Allied to assist you. Lost items, coercive personnel and refusal to accept blame are central tenets of my review of ShoreView Moving and Storage. We moved from Herndon, VA to Palm Springs, CA, with three months in between when our goods were in storage at their Dulles storage facility. The packers were good at packing things away, but terrible at organizing items or labeling boxes and keeping track of what went in what box. The manifest had labels such as 'artwork' for boxes that contained some art but also table leaves and towels, as an example. Our shipment was delayed when they had an unavoidable delay, which meant they found a driver who was going at a later date who would cost less so they delayed our shipment. Our delivery driver vouched for having placed everything on the truck so he said that they had delivered everything from the packers' manifest. Both the move coordinator and the truck driver said that we didn't need to check everything off the manifest as it was taken off the truck since we had 6 months to make a claim for anything lost or damaged, and the driver specifically said that if we tried to check everything off as it came off the truck, we'd be there for days and we just couldn't do that. When they finished unloading our goods, the driver told us to just sign the receipt that it was all good. We had no choice in the matter, according to him. He had to have a signature in order to leave and he assured us he had accounted for everything when it was loaded on the truck. The problem is, they didn't get all our stuff to us. They lost several pieces of artwork and a leaf from a table, and then had the balls to tell us we signed that we'd received it all and they wouldn't be either reimbursing us for it nor looking until they found it. They closed the case after our several attempts to find out if they had searched for it or if they would admit to having lost it. Their claims rep. kept quoting the line on the pages we signed saying we accounted for everything. We signed those pages under advisement from the delivery driver. We signed those pages because our moving coordinator said we'd have plenty of time to make a claim for anything after we'd sorted through it all to determine what was missing or damaged. Their people misrepresented the situation to us and about the nature of what we were signing. Had we known they would refuse to search for missing items, we would have required them to check off every last items as it came off the truck. That would have taken at least two days as the numbered list of items had two sets of numbers, 1-116 and 1-256. And the unloaders were in quite a hurry to get everything off the truck. We didn't even have time to tell them where to take things. The artwork is not replaceable for some pieces. The table leaf comes from a mid-century modern table that was a classic but is not worth very little as it's not intact. The ShoreView sales rep kept telling me they were trustworthy and we'd have time to make a claim but likely wouldn't need it. The move coordinator said our goods were being well-cared for and we'd get it all near the date we wanted it delivered, and we could just sign the delivery manifest and would have 6 months to make a claim. I'm advising anyone considering using them not to, and please tell all your family and friends DO NOT USE SHOREVIEW MOVING AND STORAGE. Their employees lied to and misdirected us from the start, they lost several items - or did someone steal our artwork? - and they refused to find what they lost nor compensate us for the value because we did as they all directed us and signed the delivery form. read more

The estimater, Bill, GUARANTEED they knew how to handle our many antiques - a big concern since we inherited lots of heirloom antiques from both my grandparents and my wife's family. So we went with them. Not sure it could have gone worse! Dozens of pieces of furniture broken, shattered ... dozens of boxes dropped, smashed! They eventually had some furniture repaired, but anything else they absolved themselves of any & all responsibility. So all the broken Bennington pitchers, statues, etc ... zero compensation! Also, day of delivery they said we had a week+ to go through everything. Upon submitting long list of itemized damages, they now said "All damage must be reported same day", like we had the stomach to open all these smashed packing boxes that first night! Lies, lies, and more lies ... and they wouldnt accept ANY responsibility! Even blamed us! After months of arguing with them, we probably got ~40% of monetary value back on thousands of dollars worth of heirlooms. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE TRUST ALLIED! read more

I used them to go from NoVA to the PGH area in 09/15 & it went fairly well. I beagn six months before the move as I had maybe 5 compaines out for estimates. I think they were the least expensive but not by a lot. I also called only "name-brand" movers, as I know there's a lot of scamming in the moving business. The estimator was friendly & efficient. He provided me an on-the-spot estimate with several options, mostly for different levels of insurance. I decided to use the most costly option even though I had no really valuable furniture or other thngs; I figured they'd be more careful with what I did have. The main reason I selected these guys was that the estimator promised that my things would go from my VA house to my PA house on the same truck. The other operators wanted to load my things on to a massive truck then rent a smaller van in PA for the last leg of the trip to my house (which a massive van cannot access). Since I was in a townhouse in VA, a 28-footer was plenty for my things. Once loaded, there was space to spare on the truck. Also, this guaranteed me a confirmed drop-off date. The other movers, because they wanted my stuff to part of some larger load going in the same direction, would only give me a drop-off range. This was helpful as I reserved hotels for three nights in VA & three nights in PA. With a confirmed drop-off date, I knew what the costs would be. I also picked to move right after Labor Day as all schools start by then & their busiest seasons were likely over, which I figured would be better as I had no need to be there for schools. I opted to have them pack, primarily the fragile things. I did some packing but left most of it for them, including most of the clothing. Two big guys showed-up the day after Labor Day & went at it. They brought plenty of boxes & other supplies. They were quick, I think because they had no emotional attachment to anything. All dishes, glassware, knick-knacks, etc were wrapped in a newsprint type of paper that provided good protection. They also boxed the mattresses & TVs in appropiate cartons. It was worth the cost of having them do it. The next day was load-up day & the same two guys returned with a 3rd guy. I should have figured they were also movers in addition to being packers. They had it done in a few hours with no marks or any damage to the walls, etc. As it turned out, they were also the ones who were taking the load to PA. The foreman was the driver, so I told him a bit about the community I was moving into & how he ought to approach it. The plan was to meet him in two days up there. The next day was the travel day for both of us. Along the way I called the HQ to speak with my "consultant" (not the estimator). During the lead-up, I was rarely able to get her on the phone, but someone else always covered, which was OK. At this point I had to pay in order to get my things & this went fine. I read her the manifest given to me by the foreman. Essentially, it was the inventory of boxes they used by the type of box. I also told her that the guys did not need to dis-assemble a futon frame that the estomator felt they'd need to. Also, they used a somewhat different mix of boxes than was estimated, which turned out to be in my favor. As a result, I paid less than what was estimated, so not complaints as I provided a credit card number. Early the next morning the truck rolled-in. In about two hours they were done. I was told that un-loading took less time than loading. Noting was damaged during transit as the load looked secure. The guys took everything to the designaed room I directed them to. Now fast-forward to a month later when all was un-packed - I had no damage to report. read more

We just moved from Washington D.C. to Greer South Carolina. Although packing, loading and unloading went well, as another reviews mentions, they sold us higher insurance but denied our claim when they lost two of our items. They claim that we have to check every box as it come out of the truck, but easier said than done, when six guys are unloading half of a tractor trailer at the speed of lightening so they can get to their next stop. This was our third move with Allied in eight years and our first claim. But it will be out last. read more

I just relocated from DC to the west coast, and used Bayshore Allied for our move. I had a great experience with them. They gave an accurate quote, their movers came right on time on the day of the move and were a pleasure to deal with. They were organized and kept track of every box, and made sure everything was packed well. During the move itself, the truck driver reached out to me and told me when he was going to make it with our stuff. I was given a week window and he came on the first possible day of that window. I was sorry to see the one star reviews on this company since our experience was very positive. We moved from VA to CA in two stages. We used another firm in 2015 to move some of out furniture & books to a house in CA we have owned for a while. We have used it as a winter home & decided this past winter to sell in VA and move completely. We got a firm, maximum cost bid from Bayshore. Our bid last year was an "estimate" and the price doubled the day the movers came. The delievery was a vague date in the future with a 35 day range. I had to get over a thousand dollars in cash to pay the driver before they would unload. Bayshore packers & truck showed up on time & loaded our goods in a few hours. We had packed most of the boxes ourselves. They packed the furniture, art work, and electronics. We loaded two cars & drove west. The driver called me when we were in New Mexico and had made such good time that he could come one day early. We got home & the next morning the van arrived 20 minutes early & they unloaded in four hours. The driver went over the inventory carefully with me since some number labels had come off boxes. He compared his room inventory with the BINGO list and their own label number pages & we figured out that everything was here. We have found one box with some broken bowls in it. We packed this box and don't think it is worth a claim. Overall, this was a very good experience and I would recommend them to anyone. I cannot speak to the negative reviews here but it may be a function of the teams that show up to pack & move your goods. Our team was hardworking, efficient, and good natured. Miguel, the driver, was outstanding. Phone support from the office was great. Our coordinator was Debbie & she kept in touch, kept us informed and set up a payment link for using the credit card to pay while the truck was en enroute. No twaddle about storage or cash only. Moving is a big hassle & we have used Allied three times over the years. All of our moves have been done well and we have no complaints about Allied or their partner companies. read more

If I were able to give a NEGATIVE value to this company I would--RUN RUN RUN. The biggest nightmare. We moved from Virginia to Utah over a year ago and everything we own was broken, damaged, soiled and more than half of our assets are beyond repair. Funny since you pay for "replacement value" good luck getting that. We had numerous repair companies come, do a half-hearted job and call it "good enough for Bayshore." They packed china and dishes in stacks with no wrapping. We lost items that were our late family members that can never be replaced--and as far as the guarantee Mr. Larmore makes on the site--I will say that he tried to make certain aspects "right." His idea of "right" and ours--differ greatly. I called him numerous times on his cell phone and he would let me know that he was just sitting down to dinner with his family--I was trying to find enough usable dishes to cook dinner for mine. They found many ways around paying for the actual replacement of things--like our couch that was less than a month old, had never been moved, had the tags on it still and was in mint condition. The packers were by far the worst part of the experience and even the loaders told us that they dreaded following those two because they cut every corner and made the job 10x harder for everyone. I expected the replacement value to be met when I saw Mr. Larmore's guarantee and have been discouraged each time I go to replace an item we owned that is now ruined. For instance, due with baby #2 in 3 weeks--I have been trying to find a replacement for the bassinet that we used with one child that was in impeccable condition--only to have had them negotiate the price down when they actually paid us to where I get to decide which half or fourth of our belongings actually get replaced. Oh, and as far as the time constraint where we have a certain number of months to file claims--what happens when it takes hundreds of hours to unpack each box because they are all ruined have to have pictures taken, be itemized file claims and then followup with the claims manager Matt Miller and when he fails to respond after numerous attempts--again call Matt Larmore and have him make the calls to get things started. Looking back, I would NEVER HIRE BAYSHORE--in fact even having had a baby with a heart condition that was critical and 3 weeks after an emergency c-section--I would pack and move every item myself--even with my husband having a 12 day turnaround for a new job. Bayshore probably paid out close to the amount we paid to have our possessions moved--but we had far more in assets than they paid out. And what about the time, stress, frustration, memories lost?? As a business owner myself--if I had a situation like this--I would have flown across country and done everything in my power to rectify the situation. They sent the checks without so much as a sincere apology. The ONLY good part about this move is that it is over--we still have things that are ruined but it has timed out due to the insane amount of time and effort it took to get through each and every destroyed asset and itemize it and one would think they would care to make it right regardless of the time that has passed--think again. I used Bayshore to move from the East Coast to the West Coast. I had a really positive experience. Everything they said would happen, happened. I was charged the price they were quoted. None of my stuff got broken. They picked up things on time, and they arrived on time. I've had bad experiences with moving companies in the past, and I was really impressed that Bayshore delivered just as they promised. read more

I would give them a zero if I could. THE WORST COMPANY I have ever dealt with. Horrible, horrible. Broke a lot of my furniture and things and would not pay for them even though the contract I signed assured me that they would. NO CREW showed up to unpack me for 3 and 1/2 hours so the driver took a long nap. When a crew showed up they were NOT ALLIED hired trained professionals just two random "guys" one of whom was picked up in a store somewhere to help out. They threw my boxes around, kicked my doors open and were truly awful. Everything was color coded and labelled and I would say about 20% of my items ended up in the correct room so I have spent 4 weeks trying to move things by myself to the correct rooms. The driver was arrogant and had an excuse for everything. NO ONE from the company called me back when we couldn't get a crew. Also full of excuses. This move was scheduled four months in advance. They take no responsibility for how awful they were. They also broke my elevator by loading it with too much stuff. (I am not a rich person complaining - I need the elevator for my disabled son.). I had to call an elevator fix it company the day of the move because my son couldn't get up the stairs unless the elevator was fixed. This move was truly a NIGHTMARE and I STRONGLY ADVISE against using this company ever for anything. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Save yourself from a huge amount of frustration and disillusionment with their so called contract. And yes I could take them to arbitration and win but I don't have the money after so much that I have to replace that they broke. DO NOT USE ALLIED BAYSHORE. read more

We had a large move of 30,000 pounds from DC to storage in their VA warehouse and then eventually to Boston. If I were to rate solely on the team who did the packing and hauling, I would give many stars. They were careful, professional and tireless workers! unfortunately, the storage and admin side of the operation--amd these are the folks you have to deal with when something goes wrong, not the packers--are just the opposite. The move out of DC was awful because the admin team screwed up the calendar and sent the team a day late, even tho I complained and pointed out that wasn't enough time. to make up for the mistake they sent extra workers, but there were too many of them to be supervised adequately and inevitably mistakes were made. The "specialist" team for the crating of valuable stuff were not told which items to crate and were sent out different times to crate because the communication was screwed up from the admin side. The admin team ignored the most important item we were moving--a grandfather clock made by my husband's grandfather--and on moving day, there was no clue how this delicate piece was going to be handled... Because the move-out ran so late, we actually had to leave DC before they were finished. The admin team said they would send 5 cleaners to finish up the tidying up after they completed the move out. in fact, they sent only 2 people who showed up 2 hours late and instead of finishing in 2 hours, they took 5 hours and kept the new owner from being able to take possession at the legal time agreed in the contract. Finally, because we lived smack in the middle of commercial downtown DC, it's both legally and practically mandatory to pull parking permits so that the big moving vans would have a place to park. That's right, the admin team forgot to pull parking permits... After the move out of DC, we stored some of our items for long term and some just for the summer. all items were separated and marked. when the summer items were delivered to Boston, they left behind my desk and chair, my husband's suits (all of them), the rug pad for a huge rug, and an important box of kitchen goods. We have a lot of art, and somehow, all the art we didn't want delivered was sent and all the paintings we wanted were left in storage. The 2 categories were clearly separate. it took more than 3 weeks tof constant, almost daily messaging to get our left-behind stuff delivered. Sadly, what they sent was not the careful list of 13 primary items/boxes that were missing, but what seems to be a random collection of what was in a random container. Out of all the things we needed most, only my husband's suits and my desk chair showed up. most of what was sent was totally random and I immediately sent back 30% of the boxes, without ever getting them inside my house or opening them as they were not what I had asked for... my desk? the kitchen box? the paintings I diligently sent photos of? no, no, and only some. I immediately complained and sent a detailed, professional message explaining all the things that had gone wrong, once again. 10 days later, I'm still waiting for a reply. I spent a lot of money going with a "brand name" "international" "sophisticated" "high volume" mover but I feel like I'm dealing with the dodgiest fly-by-nite operation imaginable. I wanted to relate my appreciation for Bayshore Transport Systems for their outstanding performance in my recent move. Ronda and Dave expertly wrapped each furniture and glass item and made an effort to handle them with care although after they were unpacked there were a few broken items that I had to pay to have fixed, but I guess that goes with the territory. They coordinated closely with me during the cross-country transport so we could meet at the other end of the move and then did just as fine a job unloading. read more

My experience with Bayshore was positive, on the whole. I had a positive experience with John, the agent who came out to my apartment in Delaware to give me an estimate on the cost of the move. I had a positive experience with Laurie, the customer service representative/point of contact for me throughout the moving process. And I had an extremely positive experience with the men who moved my things out of my place in Delaware, and then the other guys who moved the things into my new apartment in California: they were friendly, extremely communicative, and very thorough in disassembling and then setting up my things. The downside of my experience with Bayshore/Allied was the length of time I had to wait between when they picked up and then when they dropped off my load. While they definitely stayed within the time frame promised to me on the contract, it was frustrating to have to wait 3 weeks for my things. This isn't necessarily a criticism. I moved across the whole country, and I know driving things that far can take some time. But it's something that prospective customers should keep in mind and possibly ask about. I guess the criticism is that when I did call to ask for an estimated time of arrival, it then took several more days for Bayshore to give me an answer. Not sure. Maybe their internal communications could be improved?? Overall, though, this is a good company to move with! :) read more
