I had a good experience purchasing a vehicle from this dealership but their service department is the utter worst and I could NOT recommend that anyone goes to this dealership. My new Jeep was having a coolant loss issue and the soonest Bayside Jeep could look at the vehicle was in two weeks. Is that the way you treat one of your customers with a serious vehicle issue? The answer is no because a loss of coolant can be fatal to an engine. When I asked to speak to a manager to escalate this serious issue I was told that no one was available and that I would get a call back. Well that was 4 days ago so I took my Jeep to another dealership for service instead who was more than happy to see the vehicle right away. And guess what? It was a serious issue that needed to be immediately addressed and driving the vehicle further could have been a big probelm. What was most disappointing was the lack of transparency and professionalism during the interaction. When I asked for a business card or full name of the manager Lance involved, that information was refused. I also asked for the name of a district or general manager for follow-up and was declined. I understand when deals don't make financial sense and that happens but inviting a customer in without properly qualifying the situation and then refusing basic identification afterward made the experience feel dismissive and disorganized. BLUF: After a deeply unprofessional experience at Bayside CDJR, I strongly recommend against taking your vehicle there for service. I brought my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with the eTorque system to Bayside CDJR for a diagnostic on the 48V hybrid battery pack. I had been experiencing reduced torque assist, shortened Engine Start-Stop duration, and rapid draining of the 12V battery (I am currently on my third 12V battery). Prior to the appointment, I had scanned the vehicle using JScan, which showed the 48V battery pack at 68.2% State of Health with logged fault data from the BPCM. I printed out the scan results and brought them with me. When I arrived, the service advisor refused to take the vehicle in, stating there were no check engine lights or codes on the dash. I repeatedly offered to pay for the diagnostic out of pocket and explained that the BPCM stores its own fault codes separate from the PCM. Despite this, he continued to refuse service and began making several misleading statements. He claimed that if I left the vehicle with them, they would begin working on it, go back and forth with Stellantis on the warranty claim for months, and that the claim would ultimately be denied because there were no dash codes--at which point I would be angry with him for having to pay out of pocket. I had prior experience with Stellantis warranty claims, and his explanation didn't make sense. I had clearly stated multiple times that I was willing to pay for the diagnostic and had no expectation of free work. When I suggested that we could contact Stellantis to open a STAR case and proceed from there, his demeanor changed. He became defensive and made condescending remarks, including that it "looks like you've done your research" and that I seemed like "the type of person who doesn't take no for an answer." When I asked for his name so I could properly reference our conversation if I contacted corporate, he was extremely reluctant to provide it. At that point, the service manager (Bob Kennedy) became involved. He followed me outside into the parking lot as I was leaving and accused me of theft--despite the fact that they had refused to perform any diagnostic work on the vehicle in the first place. He repeatedly told me to "get the f--k out." When I pointed out that I couldn't leave without my keys, which had not yet been returned, a valet threw the key fob at me. The valet then got in my face, used racial slurs, and made direct threats of physical violence. Throughout this confrontation, the service manager remained present and continued making aggressive statements rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation. I eventually contacted Stellantis Customer Care to report what had occurred. After the initial case was opened, the dealership failed to respond to corporate's requests, and the case was eventually closed due to inactivity. They seemed to believe that ignoring corporate would make the problem go away, as it had with a previous case. When I followed up and a new escalated case was opened, the dealership again provided minimal to no meaningful cooperation. Stellantis ultimately authorized me to have the diagnostic performed at a different dealership and documented the incident. Based on my experience and the pattern reflected in multiple other customer reviews describing similar issues with the service department and Manager Kennedy, I strongly recommend recording all interactions. If they attempt to shift blame, make misleading statements, or refuse reasonable requests such as a paid diagnostic, contact Stellantis Customer Care immediately at (877) 426-5337 to create a documented record. This builds a paper trail that can impact their Customer Satisfaction Index and overall standing with corporate. If you follow up after about a week and are told the case has closed due to dealership inactivity, request that an escalated case be opened. Leading up to the appointment, I received multiple confirmation texts, which gave me confidence that the vehicle would be available when I arrived. When I got to the dealership, I was told the vehicle had to be driven over from another lot. We decided to wait and browse. About 20 minutes later, someone approached us asking if we wanted to start the paperwork. We explained that we had not even seen the vehicle yet. We were then told it was taking longer than expected due to traffic. We chose to return the following day. Again, the salesperson contacted us twice to confirm our appointment. However, upon arrival, we were told the vehicle had accidentally been returned to the lot. At that point, it became clear there was a lack of organization, transparency, and consideration for our time. Posting vehicles that are not readily available feels misleading and unacceptable. While the salesperson was pleasant and appears to be new at Bayside, the overall experience reflects poor management and processes that do not set employees--or customers--up for success. So I have a leased 2024 wrangler high altitude 4xe with less than 17k miles. It started to give me electrical problem since the beginning of the year 2025. I made a brand-new purchase of a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overlander with my family, and I'm extremely disappointed and deeply concerned about how unsafe this vehicle is to drive. The main issue is a severe glare coming from a mirror or reflective surface on the dashboard, which makes it almost impossible to see clearly through the windshield, especially during midday sunlight or at night under city lights. It's genuinely dangerous. On many occasions, I've had to pull over and stop the car because I simply could not see the road ahead. I even had to ask someone else to drive the car to a safe location. When my friend brought the car to the dealership, we were told, "It was made that way." That's unacceptable for a vehicle in this price range and class. I contacted Jeep Customer Service, and they said they would be happy to fix it if the service center diagnosed it as a problem, but the service center insists that even though it's a safety hazard, it's not considered a defect because "that's how it was built." Who builds a car that can't be driven safely? Now I'm left with a brand-new vehicle that cannot be safely driven, and Jeep has refused to take responsibility for what is clearly a dangerous design flaw that puts drivers and passengers at risk. I was told that if I gave a positive review for their service center I would be given 100$ towards my oil change. Brought my 2019 Wrangler in for inspection and an oil change. Entire experience took less than an hour and everything was done perfectly. Then on the way home, I noticed a new problem that seemed like an electrical short. Brought the Jeep back a couple of days later when I could. As I was checking in, the service rep asked me a bunch of questions and then stopped everything to actually go look at my Jeep. He came back and said that he thought he'd found the issue and corrected it. So, rather than have me leave my Jeep for at least a few days he solved the problem instantly, saving me a lot of time and money. Great service department. Where do I start. Haven't had the best experiences with a few Chrysler Jeep Dodge service areas, Bayside just happens to be one of the worst. First, service reps do not answer their phones nor do they call back their customers. When I called to check on my vehicle, I was told I would get a call back within an hour, I never got a call back, all day. The only way I knew what was going on with my car was when I just physically showed up. I was told everything was fine with my car and was told if my engine light comes back on just bring it back (which made me think, they didn't do anything). Sure enough, engine light came back on the next day, brought the car back, same situation, nothing fixed. This happened about 3-4 times, I lost count. I plugged my car into my own diagnostic computer and received a code. I informed the service rep when I brought my car back again of this code. He stumbled with some generic answer. Once again, no call back, no info, I picked up my car, the next day same problem. Nothing was fixed. This was crazy. I called corporate, corporate informed me each dealership is run separately and they really don't have much authority over dealerships. Throughout the next several months I was experiencing the same issues, this was maddening. I decided to take my car to another dealership, well, they couldn't take my car because it was at the end of the week and did not want to give me a loaner because I didn't buy my car at their dealership. So I made an appointment with another dealership. And sure enough, wow, they found the problem. The exact problem and code, word for word, that I informed Bayside about. Funny how it took a guy who is not a mechanic or in the auto business to not only diagnose the problem correctly but after a quick google and YouTube search on what the diagnostic code meant, found out how to fix it. Incompetent. Inconsiderate. Irresponsible. When I bought my jeep from Bayside, it has a small leak. No big deal, right? The dealership will get it fixed up, right? WRONG! They told me it wasn't actually a leak and instead proceeded to gaslight me insisting I left the window open or the one-touch open. After driving in the rain recently it was clear that there was in fact a leak. I know this is hard to believe but having ice cold water pouring into your brand new Jeep isn't something I particularly enjoyed. I head on down to the service center, which is employed by what I can only assume is those who didn't make the cut to work at the DMV considering their complete lack of empathy and disregard. Of course people deserve the benefit of doubt, so I kindly explain what happened and they agree that there's a leak. Brilliant. They ask for three days so they can order the part. Fantastic. I clearly can't drive my car with this leak and don't want there to be any (further) damage so I ask about a rental/loaner. They advise they'll cover a $35/day rental. Pretty sure that would barely cover a CitiBike! And I would have to pay the difference out of pocket. A week goes by with no phone call or update. Now it's raining even harder for two days so you can imagine the amount of water in my car. I take my car back to the service department a full week later. They keep my car and tell me they will try their best to get it back to me by the next day. Would you believe that it isn't ready? How about that they haven't even started on it? But wait, the best part is they FORGOT TO ORDER THE PART! Still, with complete lack of empathy and disregard, they have to keep with their brand I suppose, they advise they'll need more time. When I finally get the call that it's ready, I head to the service center. They say it's outside. It's not. I wait 15 minutes in 15° weather with my car nowhere in site. And valet telling me hold on it's coming right now. Eventually they bring it to me and the inside looks like the inside of a microwave if you reheat Alfredo for too long without a cover. Take a look at those pictures, what in the world could that be?? How did it even get there?? Why would they let a car out of the service center in that condition?! It isn't water, it reeks of vinegar and just not an acceptable condition. Save your money, save your sanity, SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! And no this isn't MY first car with them back in 2016. The service department is NON RESPONSIVE, reception is quick to put you on hold and tell you that someone will call you back and they NEVER do! The dealers aren't helpful either! I was sold a Jeep that had lots of issues from day one and most recently the steering wheel fell apart while I was driving with my family in the car. The amount of times I've been told "these things happen" is INSANE! I didn't know brand new cars falling apart was the new norm! They pretty much just want your money and that's that!! They sold me a piece of junk that I do not feel safe driving and have the nerve to tell me I can't break my lease and the jeep came out of the factory like that!! I wish I could give ZERO stars!!! I was very unhappy with this dealership. I attempted to buy a car from them but from the beginning there were issues. First, I went in there to look, the salesperson gave me his card. When I did like a certain, I called him the next day to get information. He never called me back. Then I go in, he is not there so they assign me to someone else who was rude, arrogant and pushy. Made me fill out a form and ran my credit, even requested $500 deposit. He said he would contact me the next day because it was late, on financing terms and final price. The next day, I don't hear back and call him. He tells me I have to come in person and commit to the vehicle in order to give the numbers. That is when I just said forget it. However, that was not the end. I was getting inudated from the dealership with phone calls, leaving messages despite me telling them to leave me alone.
