In less than an hour, Dr. Hansen and the excellent hygienist cleaned my teeth, took x-rays, and filled two small cavities. At my request, Dr. Hansen filled the cavities without using anesthesia. Her touch was so deft that I did not feel even a tinge of pain. read more

I recently started going to Bayside Dentistry. I had used two dentists previously. Dr. Young in Manahawkin and another dentist in Hoboken, NJ. Dr. Young was very well practiced, but I felt he often went overboard, left me in pain, and was constantly saying that his work needed to be redone. Not really a cost effective solution at all. Dr. Chris Wright was the exact opposite and after years of being terrified to go to a dentist, I had a thoroughly enjoyable (never thought I'd use that word about a dentist visit) experience. 1) He was very open and transparent with me about what options I had for treatment. We discussed everything from start to finish and decided on a plan of action together. 2) He was gentle. Novocaine was administered gently and I even fell asleep mid-root canal. I woke up and left feeling great instead of with an aching face, jaw, and mouth for the rest of the day. 3) Cost effectiveness was very high. The solution he recommended didn't break my bank and he isn't asking to redo the work in a year or two. Can't thank him enough for a job well done. I recently had a front tooth break and was in need of a repair. Honestly I hadn't been to the dentist in years because of my negative experiences in the past which generated an overwhelming fear of going. I wanted to find a local dentist which took my insurance. I called Bayside and made an appointment and told them of my fear. When I walked in I was greeted warmly and Jennifer showed me so much compassion. Dr. Patterson and his assistants Kelly and Lisa were extremely gentle and understanding. I would highly recommended anyone who has a fear of going to the dentist to try this practice. My husband has been using bayside dentistry for over a decade and I started using the same dentist once we got married. I have never responded to their texts and neither has my husband in the years of use asking to confirm appointment because we knew we had the appointment because we're the ones who scheduled them in person. I went in today for my regular cleaning I have gone to every time since we got married almost 2 years ago and they told me my appointment was yesterday and it was MY fault that I missed my appointment and they refused to reschedule me. I showed them the texts confirming my appointment was today at the exact time I was standing in front of them and Linda refused to look at it and say "oops oh well". My husband called once I texted him and they told him they "cancelled my appointment because I didn't respond to their text" which we've never done and a few weeks earlier when my husband DID NOT respond to the text they took him no problem. I had to find childcare and make other preparations for my two children for this appointment they carelessly cancelled on me FOR NO REASON and then lied to make it seem like it was MY fault when it clearly wasn't. I don't know why they cancelled on me but the receptionists here have always been nasty when I speak to them and our whole family will be finding a new dentist after the treatment, lies, and attitude we encountered today after using them for so long because it left us with such a bad feeling. The dentist is wonderful but the treatment beyond the 5 minutes the dentist speaks to you is NOT worth the time. I do not recommend this office purely off of the disrespect and rude behavior exhibited in the office. read more
