Extremely informative, Explained what she was doing beforehand which made me feel so comfortable. Lorena assisted me in picking my glasses including the expense and even sketched me a picture of features that I wanted to include in my glasses with Ivette the office manager recommending the frame that I eventually chose. Among the egregious disappointments was an incorrect optometric Rx and wrong measurement for my progressive lenses. The frames I selected with staff encouragement were too large for my face and rest painfully on my cheeks. Additionally and again unfortunate for me the lab would not allow me to select an alternate frame, although they had to replace the original lenses due to the incorrect eye exam prescription. Staff at Ebright would not advocate for me. Their advocacy could possibly have been helpful in changing the labs decision given the wrong prescription and need to replace the glasses. So, my ultimate outcome is a pair of every expensive glasses that I cannot wear because they rest uncomfortably and painfully on my cheeks. Which, by the way may, over time cause bruising on my face. I highly recommend that you avoid this business and select from other options, with positive reviews.

Don't let that discourage you. He's there to do one thing. To say that Dr. Nguyen exam was thorough and meticulous, is almost an understatement. He kept me in that chair until there was obviously no better numbers we could get. I have never had an eye examine that painstaking (and i'm 74, so I've had a few). It's obvious that he deeply cares about what he does and does the very best he can. Without any hesitation I recommend him.

They do a good job at explaining things and talk about preventative things since the eyes can show some signs of things that might not be doing well in the body. The office is nice and clean and they have a good selection of glasses to choose from. If they don't have the frames, you can always bring it to them and they can get the lenses installed for you. I've been having my eye exams here annually since 2015 when they were located at the plaza by what…read morethen used to be 24 hour fitness and Raley's. They then relocated to Gateway Plaza near Office Max and what used to be Choice. I've had both Dr. Ogata, the main Optometrist and fill in Optometrists. It's really easy to get an appointment here, since they've been closed during the Pandemic they are quite busy now and have appointments on weeknights which is good for those that work during the day and also over the weekends on Sundays. The door is locked and you have to call or if they see you standing they unlock the door. You immediately get your temperature checked with a standing thermometer and there's a sanitizing station right after. At this point with my eyesight, I just want to get my prescription and be done with it. I previously worked for an Ophthalmology office so I get the clinic flow. Dr. Ogata is very friendly and finds topics to connect and talk with you about which makes you feel comfortable and there's not much of a wait. I give it 4 stars with the choice and prices of the glasses and contacts. I know it is of quality but Costco contacts deals are cheaper, and so is ordering trendy frames online which can be hard to compete with. I like to do things all at once and they didn't have my prescription to trial contact lenses so I have to go back for a follow up. I would give it 5 stars if I was able to just walk out and be all done.

I checked in easily and quickly at the front reception desk. Had a mild wait while I scribbled out some paperwork and and then after a few more minutes, went to get my eye exam I saw Quan Dao for my exam. I've seen her twice before. The last two times were quite interesting. I had a routine eye exam and then I suggested if the prescription was simple enough that I could get it fulfilled at Costco. Oh, that was not the right decision for me. My prescription IS simple but Costco had to cut my lenses four times and they still failed. They sent me back for another eye exam to make sure my prescription was "correct". If there was a "mistake" in the prescription then I was allowed a free redo. There was no mistake in my prescription, but there was some room for a fudge factor. Which changed the prescription enough to get me a free redo at Costco. That was the whole point of the exercise. Well, the exam this time went smoothly. I suspected there was some very minor change to my prescription which showed up mostly in my nearsightedness. I felt I might benefit from some extra power in the lens there. Bingo. That was the exact result of my new exam. This was such a minor change to my prescription that Quan Dao and I debated if it was worth it to get another pair of glasses. In the end, we decided the problem could be solved with a minor upgrade in a pair of cheap readers. These cost anywhere from two bucks to 20. Then we both recalled the Costco experience and shuddered. We both agreed it was not worth going through anything like that again not for this minor prescription change. Checking out was a breeze. I just needed to pick up the printout for my new prescription and it was done.

Once I had a lense pop out of the sunglasses, came here for some help and it hasn't popped out since. I also went in today because my sunglasses got pushed off center during a car accident I had a couple weeks ago. They are as good as new now. Both of these fixes were at no charge to me! They also take my insurance, VSP and always try their hardest to help.
