I needed an eye exam for a new eye glasses prescription (DMV eye test coming up). Called Dr. Nguyen, and got an appointment for the very next day. His office is simple, no frills. Don't let that discourage you. He's there to do one thing. To say that Dr. Nguyen exam was thorough and meticulous, is almost an understatement. He kept me in that chair until there was obviously no better numbers we could get. I have never had an eye examine that painstaking (and i'm 74, so I've had a few). I feel like every time I book with this office I get an appointment pretty quick, which is great BC who likes to wait? I've come here for maybe like 2-3 times over like 2-3 years? I lost track. I had a meh experience at my old optometrist when I had insurance. Even tho the previous optometrist's office was fancy and flashy the Doctor wasn't so nice about answering questions lol but Dr. Tung is not like that at all. He's really chill, nice, and always answers my questions and he's pretty accessible to speak to - you can just call him or email. the service is great and the price is reasonable to me especially having no eye insurance. I appreciate getting my contacts prescription and glasses all in one for not much of an extra cost. I think Costco charges more and here I can get it for a little less. His prices are also very transparent which I appreciate. I would recommend him to everyone I know. This guy is capital-C chill, no bells or whistles. I stopped by for a walk in appointment and he managed to fit me in within the hour. I accidentally flaked on a previous appointment I made with him (I had a lot on my plate that week and completely forgot) but he was cool about it, which I really appreciate. I've had a lot of eye doctors in the past refuse to take my preferences into consideration, but Dr. Nguyen really worked with me and I left very happy. Recommend his services! He is fast but thorough, kind and professional. He gives you 100% of his time. Very kind to see me same day as a walk in. He gave me 3 contact cases for free and a set of fresh contact lenses. My eyes felt great and taken care of. They even gave me paper sunglasses to protect the pupils from the light. I'm visiting concord from la and I wish I could meet more caring Doctors like dr. Nguyen. I initially came in for an eye exam for Plano air optix colors. Man wasn't I wrong. Dr Nguyen went over many tests time after time. He said I have a slight vision correction and astigmatism in the left eye. He gave some trial lenses and had me go over another test. It's funny how I come in for 20.20 vision color contacts and leave with a prescription for vision correction. I was in his office for about 45 mins too due to the astigmatism in the left eye. I had Dr Nguyen switch the lenses back and forth for my comfort. I know that it can be pretty annoying for anyone given that he's had many years of training and that's his job. I was very in denial about the vision correction. The fact that he called me back to check on me an hr later and go over the proper care of my New contact lenses, and vision change means a lot. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen because he's very patient and professional. read more

He diagnosed an astigmatism on my son that had been missed for years by our previous (and much more expensive) eye doctor. The kid's batting average improved drastically once he was fitted with the proper contacts. The office is simple, sparse really. The cost is reasonable. I visited Dr.Nguyen for the first time this June. I was late to my appointment but they were very understanding and still took me even though I was the last patient of the evening. Dr. Nguyen was very thorough. Once he completed the eye exam I was worried my prescription would be too strong. He let me try on contacts and gave me the eye test another time to make sure the lenses were not too strong. They were a bit strong, so I decided to go with lenses at a different prescription. He agreed and gave me some samples to wear. I will definitely go to Dr. Nguyen for future exams. read more
