I took my vehicle to them to have the brakes changed and was quoted a reasonable price ($550) to include parts, rotors, pads, and service. After agreeing to that price, and dropping my car off, they called to inform me that the price was over $1100. This is also higher than what they had quoted me a few months ago ($800-$900), which they could not find in their system. I guess the old bait and switch worked as I had to get the brakes done. No real surprises, glad I didn't sign anything, details below: Went in to purchase a used car, spoke with Ahmad who kept me waiting in the lobby for over an hour and a half, and then we agreed on a number and a delivery time, conditional on repairs to the headlights - shook hands and expressed exact terms in the public lobby. Day of promised delivery, dodged my calls all day, promised to call back 3 times and never did, and then spoke with someone else (Haroon) at the shop who told me apparently they hadn't even ordered the parts they were supposedly waiting on, and delivery and the headlight repair was no longer included in the deal as agreed upon. When I texted Ahmad to tell him I was no longer interested in the deal and I'd be sharing my experience online, he called to yell at me. They did not give a Warranty for this part and gave a lame excuse that, it requires another repair, if you do that repair then they will provide Warranty. 5 stars and no less. I truly have nothing but gratitude to express concerning the customer service I received at Michigan Auto and Tire. This morning during my three hour commute, my car sustained some superficial damage because of debris left from an accident that happened in front of me on the highway. I watched as my hub caps came flying off (two came off!) and my tire pressure light came on. Luckily nothing major happened to my car but I had two more hours left on the road. I pulled off to the side, noticed the superficial, and decided I needed to get my car seen before I continued on with my trip. Checked for the nearest car shop and prayed as I drove to it that I'd make it. I did and I'm really glad. I explained to the tech at the front whah had happened and though he warned me that it may take a while for my car to be seen I was good to go in no time and my car was good to drive. It seems I'm not the only one who thinks the guy at the front desk is unprofessional. I have a feeling it's the owner filling in for his absent employee. It was real quick but I came in for an inspection. Just by his demeanor you could tell he didn't want to be bothered. I told him what I wanted and he immediately said the person who does it was not there. Then silence. I had to prompt him by saying "Well do you know when he's going to be there?" And then he said he wasn't sure. How unprofessional can you get. What kind of response is that. How about telling me when he'll be back, what day what time I can return. I inquired on the 2017 genesis G80 from another site it was listed on for $23,995. I was contacted by Ahmad and informed him I was in Vegas and was looking for the most competitve price. He said If I found the car online, I have the best price. I attempted to see if there was room to negotiate. He said his listed prices are amazing and he doesnt do hidden fee and he doesnt negotiate his prices. I found the response short and rude, and expressed this isnt "relaxing and pleasant" he said he didnt want to waste anyones time and they are honest and straightforward. I then told him he is advertising the price of $23k on one site and $21k on another, but doesnt negotiate? After showing him proof from the other site, he tried to say "my price is my price" and he wasnt going to argue with me. He doenst even know what price that is...Then he tried to ask me what price I wanted to pay. (are you kidding me?) This man is rude, arrogant and a liar, even when presented with facts he tries to act as if you dont know what youre talking about. Based on the negative reviews, and my experience I wouldnt and wont do business with this company, and I would caution anyone else of the same. Our experience has been great every time since going there critically in need of our SUV inspection due that day! Promptly took care of us which was impressive as it was the last day of the month and lines are typically LONG. They kept us legal and mobile. I have never left a review for anything, but i have never had a company try to charge me for services they did not complete. At face value this establishment appears to be legitimate and in my past experience that has been the case. However, today I had a very different experience. I brought my vehicle in and one of the services I requested was an oil change. I was charged and paid for the service, however, when I got in the vehicle the display showed "oil service needed". I returned to the counter and informed them of the issue. They told me that it was an issue with my maintenance reset button. This has never been a issue with my car so I decided to verify the service by checking my oil. I found that the oil had not been changed. The oil was still dark brown (fresh oil is very light and transparent brown color). I checked multiple times. Again, I returned to the counter to request a refund, which was granted. If I had not checked for myself, I would have paid for service that was never provided. They had multiple opportunities to tell me the truth. However, they decided to blame my maintenance reset button on the vehicle. Very bad business practice and I will not be getting my vehicles serviced at this establishment any longer. If you will lie, you will cheat, and if you will cheat you will steal. Anyone who takes the time to read this review and you decide to proceed with this establishment, please do so with caution and verify the work to the best of your ability. read more

9/27 update: I had a fever, took cold medicine and ran over BB&T entrance curb up in McLean. I scrapped the entire right side bottom from front to end. So the car started to rattle and making huge noises when idle or just stopping for traffic. I thought that I've wrecked the entire muffler/ exhaust thing again along with few other things. So I went to All tunes again, nervous that it's going to cost me an arm and leg. Guess what ?! The fine gentlemen (Jerry??) handed me the key after 30 minutes and said they fixed the problem - muffler was pushed upward and bumping into sub panel(something sounds like it). Best part is : it was FREE. I was so shocked, because it was definitely not under any kind of warranty!! I probably should've known better by the price, $15.99 is just too cheap. I brought my car here for an oil change and had the worst experience! I will say, the WiFi is nice. I fiddled on my iPad while I waited. They were busy, took me almost 2 hours to have an oil change done. I wasn't complaining though, I didn't have much to do that day and I was occupied. After I left from my oil change, I was proud of myself. I thought I found a place that was cheap and got the job done. Shortly after, I realized my car smelled weird - almost like gas through my vents. Not just that, my car sounded so loud when I started the engine. I pulled over, there was oil all over the sides of my car. I was freaking out. I called All Tune and Lube the next morning, they said they were booked and could look at it the next day. Ticked me off a bit, but I waited. Popped the hood, realized they didn't put my oil cap back on and I was leaking oil from the oil filter. When I went back, I was pretty pissed. They cleaned my engine and had my oil cap STILL there in their garage. I didn't think I was out of line asking for a refund, considering I had to come back AND they didn't put my oil filter on tight or put my oil cap back on at all. The owner said no! Told me he wouldn't refund the money, because they fixed it. I left it alone, and I'm lucky my car is still in working condition. There is no way I would EVER let them work on my car again, not in a million years. I almost feel bad for people who take their car there. I feel like I'm writing a "Beware" ad! Look around before you go here, seriously! Your car will appreciate it. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars, but Yelp requires I at least have one. This was my first visit to All Tune and Lube. Getting ready to go on a trip out-of-town, I needed to get some service work on my car. After receiving an email with a coupon for All Tune and Lube from InsideNova.com, I decided to give the business a chance. The mailer had a coupon for the 30k/60k/90k scheduled maintenance for $179.95. It did mention that the price was for 4cyl, with 6-8 cyls costing extra. My car is a 6cyl so I called to get a price. The general manager asked if I had a 'check engine' light which I did and I mentioned it had started to run rough. He said to bring it in so it could be looked at. I also said I had a budget as I was having to go out-of-town for a family matter and also had and upcoming wedding to pay for. He asked how much I could pay to which I replied $400-500. After bringing it in, and having a technician look at the car, it was determined a major tune-up was needed. It took 3 hours and $688.82 to repair. Of course, that blew my budget and guess what? Still no scheduled maintenance done. So now, I still have to get that performed which I estimate, from calling around, will cost $450 which is out of my already blown budget. Therefore, I will be traveling still needing an oil change, transmission fluid change, and service to the cooling system. Frankly, I'm glad the care is running better and will prolong the life of the engine but still did not get some of the work I needed nor did I get a price for the scheduled maintenance. Obviously, I will need more work performed on the car but am unsure if I will return. As a side note, the parking lot to this business is pure pandemonium. It share the building and parking lot with two car dealers so parking is haphazard. ADDITION: I did not drive the car the day after the repair. Since it was late in the day and the shop was closing, I left the business, came home and parked the car. Two days later, I went into the garage and noticed grease on the rear bumper covering the entire length of it. Upon further inspection, I found the spoiler on a large chunk of paint chipped off, all the way to the gray material covering the spoiler. More than an hour later goes by and they get someone else in and out before me. Being the 1st person in and getting a minor oil change shouldn't take more than 30 min. After talking with the real nice guy at the front desk and he explained to me that they go through a complete check out of the car when doing an oil change I am changing my 1 star to 2 star review. I have taken our three vehicles to Michigan Auto for several service procedures over the past year and have been highly satisfied. They have done oil changes, a transmission fluid flush, spark plug replacement, engine and cabin air filter replacement and other miscellaneous work. I have never had a bad experience. I also like the fact that their prices are fair and mostly considerably lower than dealerships, and that they don't try to upsell you or promote unnecessary services. I could easily give five stars, but for a couple of minor factors. For example, customers have to wind their way through a packed used care lot to get to their shop. Also, the $100 charge for a synthetic oil and filter change seems high. Overall,however, I like this repair shop and the service manager and will definitely continue to use them. read more
