I called around all the top reviewed places and decided on Original Rodent Proofing. They were…read morecompetitive, not the cheapest, but Shannon Lee sold me on their work, along with Brandon (owner's) call to check in and answer any questions. Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.

The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.

We emailed Dan on Nov 2 as per instructed to only communicate through email with him and not Cynthia, asking for immediate advice, action, and reiterating Nov 10 is way too long to wait especially now we still have mice around. I finally had something scheduled (actually canceled someone else because Dan's reviews seemed more encouraging) 11 days ahead. Before that date came around I had inspections/estimates from two more companies and the job done by one. (and likely better done than Dan because it sounds Dan wouldn't have opened up the wall to get to the nest) Finally I canceled my appointment by text and still haven't received acknowledgment of it two days later. People seem pleased with his services and I'm sure he's doing a good job considering he's booked like that, so only read this review for the scheduling part. But it's so important to get a hold of someone quickly when you're dealing with yellowjackets flying around your house and inside your garage. For what it's worth the quoted price to take care of a yellowjacket nest with sprays was in line with other businesses I talked to. But I was told he couldn't attack the nest directly because it was inside a wall. That seems limiting.

We called them again this year because we had a surprise ant attack --they came out of nowhere and skipped the honey and peanut butter and went straight for a tiny piece of ground meat stuck to the outside of my compost bin. The ants went as quickly as they came but we still wanted to spray just in case. Gene, the owner came by on time --he is reliable and punctual -- and pretty quickly determined that spraying was not needed. He checked some of the trees, remembering accurately some of the issues he had spotted the time he came to spray years ago. And he said, "no need to spray". And to keep an eye if things change or new issues arise. That's is the kind of expertise and business ethics you want. And the cost quoted is services had been rendered was good value.

As a first time home owner, it was pretty overwhelming to choose a right insulation installation…read moreservice. My house is old and doesn't come with any insulation. So I requested a quote from eco energy bay area and Rami came for the inspection. He did notice my windows were old and he recommended not to do wall insulation until I fixed those windows first and he quoted me for both attic and crawlspace (walls for the future reference) as well. I took a while to respond back until I did more research and I finally chose this company. And I am happy that I did a right choice. The team took 4 days to finish my whole house ( Yes I decided to do wall insulation as well). I want to thank all the members who came for the service because they are professionals and willing to listen to us. Rami was very responsive throughout the project. I especially want to thank Antonio since his patching on the walls is fantastic and holes are unnoticeable after the patching. There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it.
