The older woman who works here is a beast. Long blonde hair in a braid. Jesus, she hates everyone who walks in. We are from Pa and have never heard of this law that a kid can't step foot in a liquor store. We've been coming here for years and have never come across this. My 18 yr old niece was with us and this woman said "You need to get out immediately. Hit the door." Even after that she was incredibly nasty. For the love of god stop going here. read more

Very nice selection of wine and beer. Competitive pricing. 24 pack of Yuengling for $19.99. Bota Box or Black Box wines are $4 less than anywhere else in the area. It is in the same shopping center as the Harris Teeter. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. read more

This place sucks! My husband and I went there to buy liquor for our weekend at the beach. No one greeted us as we walked in the store and everyone that works there had a sour face on like they just smelled a bad fart. My husband had a big box of beer plus other things and I had a couple of bottles of wine, so we walked to the register and asked if we could leave our stuff there while we continue to shop around. Miserable Humpty Dumpty looking guy didn't even look at us, and just pointed behind him to the next register as he stuffed his face. At the next register Fat Karen yelled with her crusty voice "the carts are over there" as if we were bothering her. My husband and I let it go, grabbed a cart and scanned the store for more things to buy. When we finally went back to the register with a cart full of beer, wine and alcohol Old fart Karen said "y'all better have both of yours IDs on you". I explained to her that my ID was in the car and that my husband was paying. Nosey Fat Karen immediately jumped in the conversation and demanded I got my ID. I told my husband I'll go to the car to get my ID but that we should never go there again because they are all miserable and rude. At that point Fat Karen started yelling saying that I was rude and didn't like to hear the truth. Like "what truth Karen.... what truth?" I told her how they were all rude, crusty and miserable and I tried to explain to them how they were behaving but Old Fart Karen and Fat Karen teamed up and kept talking over me so I walked out. Immediately after, I saw my husband walked out and he said that they had kicked him out. These people are plain nasty human beings. Afterwards we went to the Bayville down the street and it was a total different atmosphere. They have exceptional customer service unlike Bayside with crusty Humpty Dumpty and both nasty Karens. read more

We go here regularly. Being locals, this is our shop of choice. Staff is always friendly. Even offer to carry boxes to your car if you purchase a lot. Their prices are not inflated and usually have fun promotions available. We recently got a collectors glass and light up coaster with a bottle of crown. Overall. Awesome spot. Never disappointed. This store is within walking distance from my house. It would be so nice to have a local store where you knew the products ect. But the staff there are the nastiest, non caring people in the business. They have also gone through a change in some of the employees recently, but no help. There used to be a heavy set "woman"? at the register who was miserable. Now there is a little pasty white guy "manager" on a power trip. It's like the customer owes them gratitude for their store. I've never heard a thanks, have a good day, kiss my a&$, nothing. It's overpriced because of the neighborhood. Now, I just get in my truck, take a relaxing ride to the BIG LIQUOR store right in Selbyville. They are ALWAYS pleasant and the prices are the best in the area. I hope Bayside goes by the Wayside soon. And the pasty white manager goes back to mommy's basement. read more

Bought a black box of Merlot wine from Bayside Wines & Spirits and discovered along with our dinner guests that the wine was bad. We had the box wine for about two weeks and just opened it one week ago. We returned the wine to the store today. An employee of the store questioned if we bought the wine from there, yes we did. Then asked if we had a receipt, no we didn't. We have never kept receipts for alcohol and have never had a problem with a bad product until this purchase at Bayside Wines. The employee then tasted the wine and agreed that it was in fact bad. He then got another box of wine and said "keep you receipt next time." A overall negative experience with this store. Will avoid shopping here in the future. read more

Here I am its 730pm on a Friday night and as per usual the store is closed, smh. It's a liquor store and there are only 3 on rt 54. Now since I walked here, I have to drive into Selbyville which is fine because the big liquor store has a great selection, great prices and consistent hours. Why even have a liquor store if your only open when you feel like it. Plus horrible selection and high prices. I do not recommend anyone wasting their time and money here. The one by Smitty McGees has a good selection but all in all just go into town and you will be much happier that you didn't waste your time trying to come here. read more

Sadly, ZERO stars is not an option My wife accidently entered without a mask and the man behind the counter rudely pointed out she needed one. She apologized and retrieved her mask from the car. When she attempted to re-enter, she was told she couldn't return until the next day. Also, rude counter-person was wearing HIS mask below his nose. Neither of us will set foot in there ever again and besides, the Bayville Package store has better prices, anyway. read more

Nasty owners and workers with big attitude. Close early when they feel like it. Pricing includes the tax you would pay in MD - so no Del tax savings. I only occasionally shop there for convenience next to Harris Teeter. Learned today same ownership as the other liquor store down the road next to Smitty Magees - same problem. Wherever else you might be or hail from - suggest you stock up for your beverages there and bring them to Selbyville to avoid this shopping scourge. read more

Blonde woman seen us trying to come in 9:32 when they're supposed to be open until 10, and she shut the lights off and literally ran to the back! That is ridiculous and unacceptable, then more people tried to walk in as well! Absolutely ridiculous and you need to hire less selfish people. The employees are not friendly or customer focused. I stopped in here after shopping at Harris Teeter, because it was right next door. They have a sign at the register (not on the front door as you come in) that credit card purchases must be at least $10. I generally don't like stores with this kind of policy and would have passed this store by, if the sign had been posted at the front door. I had my one bottle of wine and was ready to check out, but I was told that I needed to leave the store (in sub freezing temperatures) and go someplace else in the shopping strip to withdraw cash. They could have made an exception for a first time customer and taken my credit card this one time, but they didn't. When I told the younger employee (with the gauged earlobes) that this wasn't a particularly customer oriented implementation of their policy, he shrugged and said he wasn't the owner. When I asked him to pass my comments on to the owner, he said that the owner probably would not care. This was my first visit and it will be my last. We always shop at the Bayville Package Store, but this time I made an exception in order to try out another local business. I will not be back. With staff like this and an owner who apparently doesn't care (according to the employee) there are too many other places in Selbyville where people can take their business. read more
