STAY AWAY if you need an XRay ! I recently had an accident where I injured my lower back. The next…read moreday I went to an urgent care and got 3 different medications. Nothing worked, so I got an order for therapy. Being in a lot of pain, a few days later, before Physical Therapy started, I went to Convenient Care for an XRay. 36 years ago I broke my hip, and of course had surgery. The day after I had the XRay, I received a frantic call from my primary care doctor's office telling me that the XRay indicated that I had broken or fractured my hip again, and an ambulance would come get me. I said that if I broke my hip, I couldn't be walking on it, or going up and down stairs. She said that due to the angle of the "break" I could be this mobile. She also informed me that a blood clot could form and go to my heart, lungs, or brain and kill me. I told her that I was scheduled to start physical therapy that day. She strongly advised me against it and said GO TO THE HOSPITAL! So from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M I laid on a gurney, which just exasperated my injury more. I had a M. R. I. and at about 6:00 P.M. a doctor approached me and said that I could go home. My hip was NOT broken. What was being seen were old healed scar seams from 36 years ago. So the lack of ability to read my XRay correctly by a Convenient Care radiologist cost me a day in the hospital, and a delay in starting Physical Therapy.

Drove a distance to be seen for an urgent matter and was told oh we are not taking any more patients. Baystate drs stop recommending these awful urgent care businesses.

I've been familiar with MinuteClinic for years since I used to work at CVS and have gone to then…read moreseveral times in the past. This review is for my visit yesterday on 2/5/17. I haven't been feeling well for a while and yesterday I hit a new low. I hadn't thought about going anywhere until I stopped by CVS to pickup some prescriptions. I noticed there was next to no wait at the MinuteClinic and decided to sign in. The sign in process was easy and it was great to see that you can now schedule your appointment and save your place in line without waiting. I was greeted by the nurse practitioner named Danielle. She listened to all of my concerns and was super friendly with a great bedside manner. Within about 10 minutes (would have been less if I wasn't so talkative) she figured out the problem and sent the prescription right away to the pharmacy onsite. It was an easy transaction and I am grateful for the convenience during a time where I truly felt terrible and would not have wanted to wait hours to be seen. I highly recommend it. If you're wondering how long the wait will be, check out their site and be sure to reserve your space in line!

The worst. No communication. Healthcare providers will not respond to calls or portal…read more Medication refills? Oh no, that does not happen. They are rude, on the phones. They really do not care if you are feeling unwell, they gave protocol. Apparently that is to leave patients hanging, not provide support or care. Don't go to this practice if you would like to be considered a part of your own healthcare team. Just don't go. There is a 72 hour protocol for prescription refills..... however! That is from when the provider received the request, not when it was sent. So it may be weeks before it's done,if then. With no communication, so you won't know if it actually gets done.

Baystate Wing Hospital, 40 Wright Street, Palmer, Massachusetts, PRIMARY CARE, the WORST I have…read moreever experienced in more than 60 years of having medical care which up until now I've had very little to nothing to complain about. Requests for referrals to a specialist of my choice, COMPLETELY IGNORED. First time in my life this has happened to me. Being treated like a THIRD CLASS CITIZEN is disgusting to say the least. The quality of medical care has greatly declined and continues to sink lower as time goes on. It's all about the money and to hell with the patient. Apparently, nothing improves with time. There is another review on Yelp that I wrote a couple of years ago regarding PRIMARY CARE Dept. and nurse practitioner at Baystate Wing, Palmer, MA and my requests for referrals going unanswered. How these people can live with themselves is beyond me. I studied psychology for many years and regarding people who have no conscience, you'll find that most engage in lying, manipulation, unreliability and lack of empathy without experiencing guilt or remorse. I guess I've met a few of those at BAYSTATE WING, PRIMARY CARE, PALMER, MASSACHUSETTS.
