Highly disappointed. My mom took a fall and assumed her wrist was broken. My 76 yr. old father took her there to get an x-ray. They were told when they arrived there was no tech on duty. My dad asked kindly if one of the girls working there would call the other urgent care across the street to see if they could get an x-ray there. They flat out refused and said " That's not their job." My dad had to load my mom back into the car with tears in his eyes. Are you kidding me? You're sitting there doing nothing and you couldn't call? That's how you treat incoming patients? Highly irresponsible and just plain lazy. Shame on you. I hope it's not your parents someday. Luckily a women on the street, a stranger, an angel, saw they were distraught, reached out and made the call for them. They couldn't depend on an actual health facility to do the same for them. While the staff was friendly enough, I was brought to urgent care by a supervisor due to having a serve panic attack at work. Unfortunately I was refused a full evaluation due to not having a $ 35 co pay ready, and there was no option to bill me apparently. My symptoms were chest pain, tingling in my face and legs, feeling light headed and slightly disoriented. Against my supervisors request of going to the emergency room to avoid a workplace gossip fest, they drove me here with the best intentions to help me. I did have a nurse who checked my heart rate for good measure and was speaking to me about going to the emergency room as an alternative. Long story short, my company doctors on demand stated I had symptoms of a potential heart attack. I'm no doctor but I wouldn't ever turn away someone who is having chest pains for not having $35 dollars. Not bad staff members at all, but bad morals these people have to abide by. read more

I've been here a few times and they leave much to be desired. The wait is usually long even if you're the only one waiting. The receptionists are hit or miss. I've had two rude and one pleasant person. When you get in there, they diagnose correctly. Each time I leave though, they send me away with the work-up. Every time, there are responses to questions I was never asked. My third trip there, I specifically asked that they either ask me the questions and record my answers or omit the questions from the paperwork rather than falsifying my medical records as they had done twice before. They brushed me off by saying the questions aren't important. I said, "I can appreciate that but the two choices are ask or omit; please do NOT answer on my behalf." I looked at the paperwork when I left and once again, there were answers to questions they never asked. There are other options in the area for urgent care who will show respect to their patients. read more

I have been in the military for 13 years and have no idea how civilian medicine works. I'm used to walking in during "sick call" hours, so going to Urgent Care because I couldn't get in with doctor seems a bit much to me. But I guess you do what you gotta do. Lol. This is obviously my first time at one and so far, the experience has been great. I walked in, handed the friendly receptionist my insurance card and ID and filled out some paperwork. There wasn't much of a wait, since there was only one other person in the waiting area and it's a sunny Tuesday morning. The nurse that checked my vitals was really friendly and I was sent to another room for the rest of my check up. It seemed like the wait between the nurse that came in and questioned me and the doc was a bit long, but who knows what else is going on here. I got here at 1140 and left at... This center is fairly easy to get to and really clean. Everything looks noce But as the other tipper said that it wasn't very urgent for urgent care. read more

Very unimpressed. I've been here a total of 3 times, once with a blinding migraine, once for an infection in my arm that gave me nerve damage and yesterday an ear infection. Extremely poor service, the staff at the counter act like everyone has Ebola and they'd rather be putting forks in their eyes rather than be at that job. It takes forever to be seen. They are rude and very unhelpful. Next time I need urgent care I'll let the neighbors pit bull give me medical assistance instead. read more

I've come here a few times over the past couple years when my doctor couldn't fit me in, and I've always had a great experience (despite being ill). I've always had a pleasant check-in and short wait. The nurses and PAs I've seen have all been knowledgeable, professional, and caring. The diagnoses have been accurate, and I've left with paperwork on whatever condition I'd presented with, and my prescriptions called in to my pharmacy. I'd stay away. Quite dishonest business practices. Before I went, I called and asked if they took Blue Cross Blue Shield, they said yes. I asked if I went in (simple sore throat, wanted a strep test) would I be billed similarly to a Dr.'s visit or an ER visit. They said Dr.'s visit. When I arrived they made me authorize them to charge up to $250 on my credit card before they would see me. I was assured it would not be anywhere near that. Long story short, they billed me $339 and said they are not contracted w/ BCBS and I am out of luck and need to pay full amount. My daughter felt miserable on Thanksgiving night, but all walk-ins were closed. I decided to bring her to this particular facility first thing this morning as her condition worsened over night. I printed and completed the paperwork in advance and arrived shortly before the clinic opened. I submitted the paperwork, her insurance card, my license and a copay to the friendly receptionist and proceeded to the waiting area. It was bright and clean. We were called back to the exam room quickly and the nurse and doctor were attentive and kind. We left with a diagnosis of strep throat and they called the prescription in to the closest pharmacy. I was impressed with the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and the speed with which we were seen and discharged. I hope not to return, but would highly recommend it to any out-of-towners who require medical attention or anyone who can't see their primary care physician for assistance. this place is awful. i come to the front desk and the receptionist doesn't even look at me for about 2 minutes before she finally asks "whats the reason for your visit" i say i need a covid test for work. she continues to tell me there is a 2 hour wait to which i said was fine. i come in and get into a room and someone took my vitals. she told me the doctor would come give me my rapid results in about 15 mins and after she left, all i could here was the whole staff talking badly about their patients (myself included) and laughing. read more

After leaving the facility and reading my Patient Clinical Summary, I began to see why the PA was so dismissive, the MA marked my symptoms as starting two months prior although they began that morning, and with that information I would have concluded that the patient before me was also trying to use the URGENT CARE system as a convenient alternative to primary care. After leaving the facility upon reading the summary I see my BP was quite above normal range which they never mentioned/addressed in the exam room. The PA was giving medical advice based off of false information computed between my speaking to the MA and her. I went to New England Urgent Care for a body rash that was tortuously itchy and spreading. The rash started on my scalp, after using Keranique shampoo and conditioner. I asked at the front desk for a real doctor (versus PA or APRN) as I was in such distress with the horridly itchy rash, but was told there was no doctor on the premises, that he was servicing another clinic. I thought it odd that there would be no actual doctor at an emergency walkin, but beggars can't be choosers. The wait to get in the exam room was pleasantly short. I was interviewed by a medical assistant who didn't care much what I answered and, as it turns out later on, apparently didn't care what she entered into the computer either. I then saw a nurse (I presume), who looked at the different sections of my whole body rash. The PA then came in and examined only my scalp (the origin of the whole body rash), despite my having been asked to change into a gown, and left. I waited for him to come back in, but he didn't, so I sent my fiancé to get someone to call him back in. He came back and looked at all the other sections of my rash, realizing only then how severe it was. He left and the assistant came back, putting more info in the computer. The PA then came back with discharge papers and two scripts. We went to our pharmacy and filled them. While I was waiting for the prescriptions, I started reading the discharge paperwork. It was like reading a fictional story! They said I was a man (?!!), spoke Arabic (what?!), lived in Enfield (I don't), that my severity was moderate (I described the rash as tortuous!), that I'd experienced this before (I haven't), and that the rash was relegated to my scalp (it was all over my body!). I had told them also, and wrote in huge letters on my incoming paperwork, that I was EXTREMELY SENSITIVE to sedating meds and named a few as examples: allergy meds, narcotics, anesthesia, etc. I explained VERY CLEARLY to the assistant and the nurse (?) that, if a med made a normal person drowsy, it would knock me out for two days, literally, and gave her specific reactions. She then seemed to be aware of my sensitivity, yet my discharge papers only listed narcotics (which severely affected me later). When I filled the prescriptions, I found out that one was a steroid pack, which would extremely elevate my blood sugar and I was NOT counseled by the PA on, and the other was an antihistamine (1-2 every 6-8 hours), which I was not counseled on either, which I should've been, due to my extreme sensitivity. I ended up with blood sugars in the dangerously high 450-550 range for an entire week from the steroids, and slept 22 hours straight from taking only 1/2 an antihistamine pill. It would be nice if medical people actually listened to you. I'd feel much safer and would probably have less extreme reactions if they did. It's been a little over a month since my walkin visit and I still have the rash, only now it covers about three times the skin area it did before and it's still tortuously itchy, now swells up my face and is driving me insane. I do have to say though, an APRN in UConn Dermatology and a UConn Dermatology resident and her supervising doctors don't know what it's from either, and the meds they gave me also don't work, so I'm still suffering, And I do mean SUFFERING. Allergist is next stop on the Guess What I've Got merry-go-round. All in all, I guess the medical service was rudimentary, but the errors in the medical records and the failure to counsel me on the prescribed meds' interaction with my preexisting conditions were outrageous and absolutely inexcusable. If you're in a severe bind, go there, but be extremely careful to ask about prescription interactions with preexisting conditions and your current meds, as they can be fatal, AND be sure to check your medical records/discharge report for (expected) errors. read more

Get ready to pay 5x what you would pay for your copay. My daughter and I had flu like symptoms, but they were not doing "flu tests" anymore they were just handing out RX's for Tamiflu. I saw a Dr for 10 minutes, had my vitals taken and my daughters and got a bill for $400. Had I been told I could have done self pay it would have been half. These people outsource their billing and everyone shrugs their shoulders as if there is nothing they can do after insurance has been billed. Unethical practice. read more

I just got a call from the Owners of this business, Mr and Mrs Gutman, Inquiring about my previous bad review. The man was a bit more reasonable to talk to, even though he kept demanding that I address him as Doctor. Big ego perhaps?? Then, his wife picked up the phone, she went totally berserk telling me that I cannot talk and I just have to listen... to her. Excuse me? i let her know that when she was talking I had the decency to be quiet, and that I'd appreciated if she would have done the same. Needless to say, that at the point she lost it. I visited NEUC in early 2015 and found out they charge a lot for their services. My insurance only allowed the average approved rate and I ended up paying a lot more out of pocket. There prices are expensive. My advice is to visit your PCP; it's going to be cheaper. Another time I stopped in for something minor and forget my new insurance card, it ended up becoming a real big deal, they were going to charge my credit card the full amount and I end up having to deal with the insurance company and all the logistics to get a credit later on. I offered to fax the new card when I got home, but they refused. So, between the expensive charges and acting like I was third-class citizen, I came to the conclusion the only thing urgent about New England Urgent Care is getting their money. read more

I did not waste my time nor money coming here. First off let me tell you the staff are amazing here. I have been coming to Urgent Care for any medical problem for a couple of years (several times.) Each and every time the receptionists and nurses are as friendly as they come. The Doctors provide great care and diagnose you thoroughly and accurately. They do a procedure for you then and there if needed. I am a self pay customer and I find the pricing very fair (I'm a minimum wage worker) Yesterday I went in for a simple procedure and they specifically told me that the prices went up and they wanted me to be aware of that. Instead of paying all the money and a co-pay they took me into a checkup room and gave me free advice for home care. These people have done me favors all along, and have taken care of me every time I go in. I highly recommend Urgent Care. read more

I went to urgent Care, a couple weeks ago. I paid money for what I was told I would get. Very little time was spent with me. Then I was told I had to pay more. The guy, who took my money, in the first place told me I was paying for what I wanted. I was refused a refund. I'm a senior citizen, living in poverty and am in a lot of pain. I finally called them and got the number for someone to complain to. I was told that the number wasn't long distance. I had to call them a second time because they gave me the wrong number. I called the correct number which was long distance. I had to wait a long time before someone actually talked to me. All she told me was what "they" said about me. Now, I've been lied to, twice about things. I'm still in a lot of pain. I paid a lot of money for nothing. Then I was given the wrong number and was told it wasn't long distance, when in fact, it was. These people have no integrity and I've caught them in two lies. They are opportunistic and don't care about their patients other than the money they can get out of them.. I'm hurting badly. read more

I went to the Urgent Care Center on January 22, 2017 with a sore throat and cough. I was informed by the doctor that it was a bad cough and that I did not have strep. The PA said she was 99% sure but they would still send the culture to the lab to confirm and would contact me if it showed I had strep. I came home today from work, January 27th and received a call from my primary doctor asking if the urgent care center gave me antibiotics as I tested positive for strep. The urgent care center never contacted me. I am extremely angry at the urgent care center for not contacting me and not putting me on antibiotics. It's no wonder why I'm not feeling better. I have a call into my primary care doctor. I trusted the urgent care center and look what happened to me. Now I have to inform co-workers that I have strep and there's the possibility they could get it. It's not fair to me or to them. This could have been prevented if I l was informed and put on antibiotics. I will never go to this place again and I will let the people who recommended them know this and I am confident they will stop going as well. I am so angry that I could have felt better and for also putting other people's health at risk. I will be contacting the owner of the company, the heath department and my insurance company. I went here two years ago for a persistent cough. The wait was longer than desirable, I was seen for about five minutes, then prescribed three medications to take, two of which were over-the-counter and therefore didn't even require me to see a doctor. Then it took them A YEAR AND A HALF to bill me for the visit. When I received the bill, my insurance at the time "apparently" only paid $1.00. You read that right: ONE DOLLAR. I was billed for the rest. Over $100. The best part? At the TIME of the visit, I was 25 and still a dependent on my parents' insurance. NOW, over a year and a half later, I am 27 and on my own insurance, and my financial state is VASTLY different than it was at the time of the visit. I made some payments as I could afford them, but then received a not-so-polite letter telling me to pay the rest to avoid "further action" on my account. I have severe anxiety, so the thought of calling a stranger on the phone paralyzed me even more than the large bill, so I just paid the rest so they'd leave me alone. Did they even BILL my parents' insurance at the time? I don't know. Why does it take them nearly TWO YEARS to process visits? I don't know. All I know is I will NEVER be returning to this office. read more

My son split his chin wide open by falling off his bike around 5pm on a Friday night. It was clear he needed stitches and going to the hospital it was clear we'd be there most of the night. We instead called Urgent Care in Enfield to confirm they did stitches and the front desk person was helpful on the phone and once we arrived. The longest part was the paper work, but that was because I didn't know his social security number. I didn't realize until now going back to write this review that I could have printed paperwork off on the website. Not sure if they rushed us through because of the gaping hole in his chin, but we were in and out in a smidge over an hour. The nurses were compassionate and encouraging with him and the facility was very clean (I am considered by friends a germ phobe). Nurse even told us what day she worked to come back for stitch removal and that way my little guy sees the same person for continuity. Definitely will go there again, and would recommend you do too! read more

At first I was very pleased with the service here. The receptionist and the nurses were friendly, competent, and efficient and the wait time was minimal, especially considering that this was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (there was only 1 other person in the wait room when I arrived, and 1 when I left.) But when Dr. Russo came in to see me, all that changed. He didn't even listen to the reason I was there, literally putting the scope up to my mouth while I was speaking...and he obviously didn't pay attention because the main reason I had come was due to a fever of 103 and chills the night before and he wrote that chills and fever were marked as negative/normal on the discharge papers. He never explained to me what was wrong; I actually asked the nurse at the end and he called Dr. Russo back to answer me. At that time he said, probably to sound better in front of the nurse, "As I said....." ...except that he hadn't. At least he did give me an antibiotic which did help (although he also gave me another prescription which I didn't need ...I asked the pharmacist what it was for) but I was appalled at his rudeness, his inattention to detail, and his overall treatment. read more
