I don't write tons of reviews, but know how frustrating and disheartening. It can be to look for a good GP, haven't gone through that myself eight years ago. They told me I would have to pay out of pocket and did not make me a priority or put me on a wait list. I was so disappointed I switched dermatologists and the new office has all of the insurance referrals already all set for me.

I went to Melissa for my yearly dermatology skin check because my previous PA left the practice. I…read moreinformed her of my recent knee replacement surgery and that I could not yet let it hang off the table and that it was also very tender to touch. She was unnecessarily aggressive with her dermatoscope, basically slapping it against my skin, including my knee. When I pulled away and reminded her of my recent surgery (which was very obvious from the giant scar), she just continued in the same manner. When I left, my husband asked why I was covered in red marks; it was from the dermatoscope. More egregious than this, is that she entered the room with a young male intern, and what I didn't realize was also a young male intern on an ipad. I told her that I was uncomfortable with him viewing my full body exam, but fine with him listening, so could she please pull the curtain. At the end of the exam she asked the intern if he had any questions. The one in the room said no. Then I heard a male voice on the ipad, which was in plain view of me during the entire exam, ask a question. I felt incredibly violated that she knew I didn't want to be viewed, and didn't move the ipad behind the curtain as well. I was too shocked at the time to say anything, but when I called the office to report this and ask for my medical records to be sent elsewhere, there wasn't much of a reaction or show of concern. I do feel it's important for future potential patients to be aware of this situation.

The office is up elevator, to the right of optometry, like right next to it. I walked by it twice…read morebefore I noticed the door, lol. It was my first visit and it went fairly quick. There was a TV and magazines to keep you entertained until you were checked-in. Once they were ready for you, you were transferred to the waiting room inside. There were also magazines in there, as well as a play area for kids. There is a restroom in there, if you were looking for one like I was. I was later taken into a small room where they did my vitals. Once completed, I waited for my doctor in my designated room. The visit was quick and to the point. The doctor was extremely friendly. The one thing that I didn't really like was how thin the walls were, you could honestly hear everything that is going on in the next room. It made me feel a little uncomfortable. Aside from that, it was pleasant. Everyone was nice and helpful.
