The view is lovely, with houses nearby and Lewis Bay, seeing across the body of water. It can be windy on some days, as happened during our visit. Luckily, there were no significant incidents, but keep that in mind. There is a lot of parking space at Kalmus, which also connects to the other three beaches. In the parking lot, there is a snack bar and also a bathroom.

The beach is relatively small, with little room to move around, depending on the tide. Despite that being a concern, the view all around is enjoyable. For more entertainment, there is also a playground and a climbing tower. Picnic tables and grills are scattered throughout the park. Overall, it's kept up very nicely, and I'm thrilled to see everything in great shape. Here's a reminder: there is an entrance fee for entering during the daytime.

The view is decent for the most part, I wouldn't consider anything too exciting, except the view out to the west looking towards Point Gammon Lighthouse, which didn't look visible due to the weather. Across the water, you'll see Thacher Town Park Beach, which can't be crossed. One of the entrances has a mini fence on the ground, warning about sandpipers. Be careful while stepping over. There's no doubt I'll make this stop again.

The beach is skittle rocky but the water is crystal clear. You are in the inlet so the water is calm and refreshing. You walk across a small wooden bridge. The place is very quiet and kept very clean. This is one my favorite beaches I like to visit when I am in the area.

I was thinking the typical pizza shops, arcades, and ice cream shops along the beach and sitting in the sand to watch sunset (that's how our boardwalks are like down by the Jersey shore). I was pleasantly surprised that it was a single boardwalk that led to a spot with benches to watch the sunset. It held such a peaceful vibe that even when talking to my partner, I tried my best to whisper to maintain that peaceful atmosphere. I loved all the nature that you are able to witness here -- the long stretches of sand, the marshlands and the osprey nest, and the Cape Cod bay out ahead. I truly enjoyed this hidden gem, and I highly recommend it for watching sunset if you're in the area :) reminder that it is an environmentally sensitive area, so do treat the area with respect and keep its cleanliness (take any trash back with you if you have any!)

My trip to Eugenia Fortes was quiet and peaceful. I talked to some local speedwalking moms (my people!) and got into some gossip about the local celebrity homes. (We're talking about you college scandal parents!) It was fun to catch up but then I was on my merry way. I wore my oversized sunnies, a flowy skirt, a big hat, and enjoyed my feet in the sand. Not many were on the beach and the dock was desolate. As I walked closer to the sands in front of JFK's home I quieted my mind and thought of what it must have been like for him to grow up here, to then use this place as his safe haven as a President, the losses this home felt, and in turn John John's plane being out in that water. Dried up crab shells were all around. I could pick up any shell I wanted. The sand was cool and soft under my feet. These moments all to myself, these grand old Americana homes on the water, the beautiful sun glistening on the ocean... I get it. It really is stunning and the legacy can be felt on your skin when the wind blows.

This beach is located at the end of Craigville Beach and is a continuation of the amazing water front. This location has a decent amount of parking and access to all of the amenities Craigville Beach has. This beach is also a great place to visit in the morning to either complete an exercise routine or if you are like me, just to sit and watch the waves.
