My family had been seeing this vet for thirty years, give or take, but on this day it wasn't Doc Steadman - it was another doctor. Moore? Morris? I don't remember and I don't care. This doctor watched my wonderful dog collapsing, struggling to breathe, being unable to walk and had the audacity to tell me it was BONE SPURS. I brought up these issues again and again and again, while my dog was collapsing in front of him. Nothing. I had even CALLED AHEAD to make sure THEY were the ones who could help us - they told us to bring him in - but still Nothing. I could have brought my boy to another vet had they told us they didn't have time, or that this doctor simply didn't feel like dealing with it. He insisted it was "old age and bone spurs" no matter what I said, and I completely lost the opportunity to ease my dog's suffering. I'd have been completely on board with euthanasia if that were even an option with this man, just to ease my boy's asphyxia and pain. He was denied the most basic care and the trauma of him suffocating to death in my lap will always be there. Thanks for all you've done Steadman, but I will never be back as long as the other doctor is there.

I'm sure emotional people pay it though. They proposed that he be facilitated for 3 days overnight with a catheter to clear his bladder. I was firm that I only wanted his blockage immediately cleared, and for him to be discharged by the end of the day. Took him to my vet the next day and paid a very small fraction of the price for virtually the same proposed work, $300. Long story short, Put your foot down, do what your intuition tells you is best. I walked out of this place only paying $350, and my cat is FINE.

My Mom wanted to get a black and white long hair but they didn't have any. This one was by itself and was friendly as soon as I opened the cage. What a cute face!!!! We checked out another cat room they have as well as what dogs they have available. No puppies or small dogs. Mostly med or larger dogs. They all seem well cared for. My Mom decided on the baby girl I found. (I would have taken her in a heartbeat!) The employees who worked there were nice. Wednesday they have Free dog adoption day and Fridays are for free cats. We will have to stop again to check what they have. They said small dogs go fast as well as the kittens. I am sure this beautiful baby would have been gone long before Friday, she had just become adoptable that day. Lucky we got her!! If you're looking for a pet, stop here! We will definitely stop back. My Mom is very happy with her.

Unfortunately the male had a serious illness which could had been spread to my 3 original cats. We scheduled an appointment with my veterinarian and he was diagnosed with Giardia. But in the end our little orange boy pulled through. So we walked into the same shelter today and it seems that Giardia is causing a bit of a fuss once again. I would adopt from there again but I would ask questions and if possible I would talk with their vet. The public needs to know about this very dangerous virus. Ask questions, ask if the animal has been tested for this and other viruses.

Our lab Mickey is 12 years old and very spoiled; for him to enjoy a place is very reassuring to us. (Both of our boys Love the pool that is available) Our second sweet angel is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois (Tigger) with the energy level of 3 or 4 normal dogs and about an eighteenth of the attention span! We are very excited to have a new 'Home away from Home' for our two K9s, as we like to travel often (and for extended holidays). Knowing that there is a safe and comfortable place for our angels to stay, with an attentive staff, always makes our holiday more relaxing and enjoyable.

And I supposed to drop off her at 14:00 pm next day, Saturday. She supposed to stay in this facility until the 10 of March. I drove all the way from Perdido Key to Davis Hwy with my cat and her supplies JUST to FOUND OUT that she couldn't stay because she was Neutered. That word NEVER came up in my conversation with the female person I talked on the phone. I Actually mention to her that I wanted the cat to stay there until Her Appointment with the vet to have A Hernia operation and neutered. NOBODY Ever mentioned that they could NOT accept her because she was not neutered I guess everything works for the best I, definitely, wouldn't want to trust my pet with a crew that can't even figured out, a simple task.
