    Concession stand with self-serve popcorn!
    Mandi S.

So happy this place finally reopened! I love that it's a mom-and-pop movie theatre that caters to the community. Beautiful new seating that reclines comfortably comfort snd each theater is a decent size. They also have all the new movies (Saw Dogman opening weekend - highly recommend if your kid also loves those books). Also let's discuss how reasonable the pricing is here. $8/ticket for a brand new movie?! Yes please! Concession pricing is also very reasonable and the popcorn is self serve. We didn't indulge this time but I've never seen a self-serve popcorn refill in my life. Support your local movie theatre and please be respectful and clean up after yourselves. We will definitely be coming back to South Bay again. Plenty of parking in the lot and entry from the back.

Narrow but long theater. Seats were recliners and very comfortable.

A movie theater that has been closed for years, renovated and reopened? I'm all for this Rockyesque comeback story! Small theaters but that is ok, I love the atmosphere and the price is right! Purchase tickets online and scan the QR code when you get there. Tickets were $10 on a Friday night and there is a Tuesday special. I didn't get any popcorn or candy but I definitely will next time. This is a hidden gem, check it out!

Really cute small theater! My friend and I came to see the housemaid and it was such a pleasant surprise! The theater was really cozy, clean, & the staff was nice

Great revive of a community staple! This theater is freshly revived from the dead! All new seating, projectors, sound system and a concession stand that is actually affordable! Couldn't be happier this place is back and better than ever!!

First three rows have leg rests

First time coming here since it reopened. If anyone remembers the old theatre, this is a slightly upgraded version. No assigned seating. Only about 1/2 of all seats have leg rests (none appear to recline) and the seating is a lad tight. Screens looked new and the sound was good. Concessions are slightly cheaper than other theaters but there aren't any combos. The popcorn is self serve. Staff was friends and there is plenty of parking. Theater was clean. It's local so odds are I'll be back. Not bad...just nothing blowing me away.

They re open. & they're starting off with. $10 movie tickets !! Popcorn is self serve so you can come back for more!! The place is beautiful & clean. The movie rooms are small 4-5 rows of 10 seats each so approx 40-50! Which is great when going with kids! The recliners are new, comfortable, wide/ spacious! Definitely a must go! Wish they had more showings, will definitely return !

I'm a regal member, so ordering through the app is easy, as is redeeming vouchers. The standard seating is great - reclining seats, a table and multiple cups holders! There were 11 of us, which already made it feel like an event, full of energy, excitement, and a lot of curiosity about what a 4D movie would actually feel like. From the moment we walked in, there was a buzz in the air. None of us really knew what to expect beyond moving seats and special effects, so the anticipation kept building. Like any movie outing, we stopped for snacks, because you can't go to movies without snacks, but wow, they were definitely on the pricey side. Still, we went for it, thinking it would complete our experience. Once the movie started, everything changed. The seats began moving, jolting, and vibrating along with the action, and suddenly it felt like we were part of the movie rather than just watching it. Air bursts, water sprays, and all the unexpected effects made it so exciting, but also a little intense. That's when things got interesting for me and my daughter. About halfway through, we both started feeling a bit of motion sickness . It wasn't anything too bad, but definitely enough to make us sit back and try to steady ourselves while everyone else was still reacting to the action. It became one of those moments where you're half-laughing, but still enjoying the experience. Meanwhile, the whole group was dealing with an entirely different struggle with our snacks. With all the movement, holding onto popcorn and drinks turned into a challenge. Popcorn was flying everywhere, sodas were spilling, and every sudden motion made it worse. At one point, it felt like people were more focused on saving their snacks than watching the movie. The next roll over lost all their popcorn . Honestly, it was hilarious. Even while trying to manage the motion sickness, I couldn't help but laugh at the chaos around us. It quickly became clear: 4D movies and snacks do NOT mix. By the time we walked out, we were all still laughing and talking about everything that happened. It wasn't just the movie, it was the whole experience, from the motion effects to the unexpected moments and the shared laughs. Overall, it was such a fun and memorable outing. Next time, though, we'll definitely go in a little wiser, maybe skip the snacks... and I might think twice before sitting through all that motion again! Lol Absolutely not! I really enjoyed the experience and the movie was enjoyable.

However, when I finally did see the movie, the theater was filthy. We were in theater 8 and they did not clean the theater from the previous showing. There was popcorn all over the seats. The man sitting next to me had mustard in his cupholder. It was awful. During some of the trailers the sound was muffled or sounded like it was underwater so I ended up with a headache before the movie even started. Overall the ease of changing my ticket was great, but I would not be back. I have never been to a movie theater where it was not cleaned in between screenings before and I pray that will be my last.

So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.

First of all... you simply cannot beat the pricing!!! All movies beginning before 3pm are just $8! After 3pm, adults are $10 and children (under 12) + senior citizens are $9. Unbeatable prices. You can buy your ticket(s) online and they'll email you the QR code. Note that there's a 50 cent fee. It's located on a busy main street, so street parking can be tough. Luckily there's a free municipal lot around the corner. So if you don't mind walking a block or so, park there! Yes, it's outdated and a little dingy. But I think it adds to the nostalgic charm. Carpets and wallpapers with funky patterns, retro arcade games, antique artifacts, vintage photos... such a throwback! They have a concessions station with your favorite snacks like popcorn, nachos, and candy. Not a lot of food options like the big name theaters, but the prices are a lot lower. You can even get free refills on popcorn and fountain drinks when you purchase the largest size. They only show four movies at a time with limited showtimes, so that can be a drawback. But they do have a good selection of first-run films for both children and adults. Of course, you get what you pay for. This isn't AMC Theatres lol. The theaters are small, so I would suggest coming early during popular times, especially if you're watching a newly released film. There aren't reserved seats, so first come first serve. No stadium seating. The chairs are leather and were comfortable with enough leg room. No recliner. There's a small table with a cup holder for each seat. I didn't experience any technical issues during the movie. Visual and audio quality were clear. They have a surround sound system and the screens were the perfect size. I watched a 6pm showing on a Thursday and had the whole theater to myself. I loved it. You can even book a private event or birthday party. I'll be coming here more often. Keep supporting your local movie theaters :')

We have not been to this theater in years even though we see it each time we go to BJ's. Grateful it was open even after the major storm yesterday. Yes the theater was empty so that was nice for us. Hubby bought a bucket of popcorn because he loves movie theater popcorn. We usually "share" but it was way too salty for me. I know I have less tolerance for salt than most but I still thought it was too much salt, even for the average person. We had tickets to the IMAX 3D, we have not seen a 3D movie in a while and truth be told, the movie we saw wasn't elevated because of the 3D, I would not have been happy if I had paid for that upgrade. I guess that is more of a review on the movie than the theater. The one complaint I do have is that apparently the IMAX theaters do not have reclining seats. Instead, the seats rock back-and-forth unless you are in the last row of the bottom section which leans against the rail, then it doesn't move at all. The seats did look new, which was nice since we were used to going to the theaters at the Broadway mall before they shut down. I guess that's why they never invested in upkeep of the seats. All in all, I gave four stars because they were open on a day where everyone else had a snow day, the theater was clean, and the seats felt new.
