We came here two weeks ago during their off season and had a great time. They have one hole where you can drive it onto a water fairway, then once there, have to clear another area of water before making it to the hole. Overall it was a nice course. I heard in the summer it is very well decorated. And they have a nice practice area (including a sand hazard) too. read more

Love the course but if I'm paying that amount of money, I don't want to be hitting over, or around maintenance workers cutting the greens. They are all over the place and that's fine but they should still respect those paying all that money to play. Told one of the rangers that a couple individuals who were using push mowers were standing at the front of the green on 11 and we were forced to hit over there heads while they stood there and he said "just hit, they're going to be out there so just hit, they will get out of the way." This course is phenomenal, I can see why it is so highly rated. Definitely one of the top courses I have aver played including Myrtle Beach, Pinehurst, Florida, NJ and Pennsylvania. The course is very playable but definitely not easy. It is visually amazing on almost every hole and the houses don't invade the course. There is a ton of sand and water but the fairways are generous. I picked a bouquet of flowers for my wife on 18 and she loved them. read more

I have played a lot of rounds of golf at a lot of different courses in my 30 years of life and Baywood Greens is my second favorite that I've played so far, only behind Erin Hills. My brother and I took a golf trip last summer and played here while staying with our aunt and uncle two hours away or so in Baltimore. We both absolutely loved the golf course. It was so pristine, meticulously manicured, and just overall beautiful. They had so many workers out pruning flowers and maintaining the golf course. There were flowers all over the golf course like a Mid-Atlantic version of Augusta. Playing here was one of few rounds I've played where I was in love with every hole on this layout. There's lots of water on the course, but if you pick your most accurate clubs and play the appropriate tee box, you'll still have a good time. I'm a around 10 handicap and I shot 9 over for an 81 just by hitting clubs that were going to keep me in the fairway rather than bombing driver on every par 4 and 5. This course was so fun in that it made me use every club in my bag. From hitting irons off the tee, to mid irons in, to my usual driver and wedge on some par fours. I love when golf courses give variety besides hitting driver and short iron or wedge to the hole on every par four. Baywood Greens offered so much variety. On top of this course being so beautiful, they offer complimentary range balls with the round so my brother and I were able to get a solid warm-up in first before getting on the first tee. We had a morning tee time and even with having a random playing with us, we were still done in 4 hours. I had this golf course on a state-by-state golf bucket list and I'm so glad that I finally got to play here. I definitely want to play at Baywood again someday! read more

Very nice course but a bit overhyped and overpriced. The Good- excellent customer service and practice facilities. The course itself was in good shape (played on 5/3/24). I'm guessing aeration was done a couple weeks ago so they're a little bumpy still but plenty fast and firm. The fairways were a little thin but the rough was thick. The landscaping is immaculate and there's quite a few "picture" holes. The Bad- my only real complaint is the bunkers. There's got to be 60-80 bunkers on this course and some are huge. A couple greens are almost totally surrounded by sand. I'm comfortable in a bunker but if you're not then you'll struggle here. As a minor complaint, there's a couple greens that are almost impossible at landing and staying on them. I had 2 approach shots that landed high on the front of the green and rolled off the back. Our group got logjammed about halfway through after being told there would be a Marshall maintaining the pace. Overall- a sweet course but not the "Augusta of the North". I'd highly recommend playing here at least once. There's some very fun holes. It's nice to see good golf courses in this area. read more

An excellent conditioned course with Nazi rangers. Played here for the first time on 7/15/18. The course is in excellent shape, challenging holes, and lightening fast greens. There is a lot of variation between the holes and will keep you engaged. There is a good amount water across the course. Let me explain the rangers...I am all for pace of play and making sure we're up to the group ahead of us. But this was ridiculous- he kept wasting 3-4 minutes of our time showing us a fancy chart on the display in his cart of where we are and where everyone else was. He once came and talked to us at two greens in a row - as soon as we were done, we went to the next tee and were waiting. They need to chill. read more

A must play golf course if you are in Delaware. Course is always in excellent shape and the extra things they do around the course looks like you were in the famous course in Georgia. Recently we have gone there two times in both trips we had dinner in the restaurant. Food was very good and the inside of the restaurant and bar were liked by all. read more

Great course. Have played several times. Recently went on a Thursday and first sigh of trouble was when the starter informed us they target 4:45 pace of play for a round. That's crazy. Came back on Saturday for a Bataan Death March of a 6 hour round. When we complained, one of the rangers said and I quote: "on days like this, you have to be like a doctor; lot's of patients". Also was told they ".....don't like to bother the players." See ya. read more

Really nice course. A bit on the expensive side but - compared to Lighthouse Sound (more expensive) and Rookery South (less expensive) - it's worth it. (Those other two courses are horrible.) Baywood Greens is beautiful and well-maintained, the holes are fun, and the pace is decent. (Late September 2018) My only complaint is that the snack bar's food is less-than-mediocre. But I will definitely bring my tournament back here next year. read more

This really is a fantastic course. Too bad it is ruined by extremely slow pace of play. I have played here three times, and twice have had to walk off because of how slow it was. The first time, I left after the 15th hole, 5.5 hours into the round. Most recently, I left after the 9th hole. It took 2 hours and 45 minutes to play the front nine, and then there were two groups plus us waiting on the 10th tee. This would easily be a five-star review were it not for the pace of play issues. The course is in excellent shape. Beautifully maintained, well designed, and challenging. Here's hoping the management can address the issues that are holding this course back. read more

We went with local friends who are familiar with the property. The atmosphere and clientele was very clubby and friendly. The food met all expectations of a upscale country club. We enjoyed the entire experience and will return for golf and dinner. read more

Dress code for driving range?Yes ,Baywood requires a collared shirt for the driving range .Also,it's $12.00 to use the range, but you have to leave after 1 hour..hit as many balls as you like,but only for an hour!!Their dynamic prices are also difficult.You don't know what you will pay until you get there.This is not Pebble Beach guys!! read more
