    Merguez Sandwich

This is one the best places to eat if you get a chance. It is part Moroccan part middle eastern. We were just passing by and decided to take a chance. It was so worth it. We both got the merguez sandwich and of course Moroccan tea!! I'm only disappointed that we never made it back to enjoy their full restaurant next door. I hear the couscous is amazing short of your mother making it. Camilla even remembered us and our order when we came back. She is a very sweet person. Can't wait to return to Montreal.

Serving brunch weekends, it's one of the rare places that can cater to vegans as well. I had a really tasty tofu scramble and the flavor was bold and the portion just right. Together with a big fat bowl of soy latte, this brunch was a complete hit in my book!

Had this place bookmarked for a while. Went today for lunch with friends and I can finally say it was pretty good. Ordered the benedicts with merguez, good portion. Decent price (but coffee not included)! We each took a different meal with merguez sausage (sandwich, casserole, benedict) and it was all really tasteful, came with salad, potato and fruits. Restaurant is a bit tight on space but still comfortable. Easy to find parking and baby friendly. Also to be noted, excellent customer service!! The lady always made sure we were alright, and had this positive attitude making us feel at ease. Never felt pressured to leave (we stayed for 2 hours).

Went to Bazar Café on a Friday morning and there are more and more people coming around 11AM and expecting more around noon time. Located on Beaubien street in a quiet neighbourhood, the restaurant is cozy and the service is quite good. I tried their Bazar specialty La Fumée (salmon tartar plate), I think that it is pretty good, for the price, the portion is quite generous! The ingredients taste fresh but I have to admit that it is not the best salmon tartare I have ever had, and the egg on top of the tartar tastes a bit strange. The plating is nice and the vibes of the restaurant are chill, I liked the experience at this café!

Charming little find on the west side of Beaubien street. They specialize in Moroccan inspired brunch while still holding true to menu classics. Very relaxed ambiance, superbe terrace with an open dining room to the kitchen and the street. I had the Monte-Cisto which was a grilled cheese made of aged cheddar, apples and caramelized onions served between two slices of yolky French toast. It was very yummy but not sweet enough for my taste. I added some extra maple syrup on top to take it to the next level. My partner had the Moroccan casserole which resembled a shashouka but minus the feta and plus two incredibly tasty merguez lamb sausages. Generous portions, but coffee not included. Did I mention it's a bring your own wine? Aka bring your own mimosas :) You won't find the best brunch food in town, but the plates are all definitely very solid and the charming neighbourhood ambiance is hard to beat. Great place to have a relaxed brunch with friends!

The green is a pineapple, coconut with spinach smoothie. The pink is a berry smoothie. Both good. Fresh. Not super sweet.

Absolutely great food. The first time we came here it was by accident. The food was amazing. Fresh. My kids loved the food here. Everything was perfect. Our second trip back into this city. We searched high and low for this place. We completely forgot the name! It was lost in a sea of check-ins. We are back today in the summer. Last time we came in the winter. Looks absolutely different. I'm excited to have done our detective work and re-traced our steps. The food again is great. The lamb tastes so fresh and delicious. All the fruits are just at their point. Little hidden gem! No long line! Ample space! Indoor/outdoor seating. The service is great. I highly recommend this place if you're in town visiting, vacationing, not wanting to wait in line for other hyped up places. (In case you woke up late!) ;)

A quaint little spot serving brunch fare and some Moroccan-inspired specialties. Walking in, you might not notice the North African influence right away, but after a while you'll notice the cute little details. Makes for a charming experience. The food, though, is what we really came for. Had the a spinach and feta cheese scramble which was delish. But the star of the show was the merguez shakshuka (eggs in spiced tomato sauce with shakshuka (a type of sausage). AMAZING. You can tell when something is made with love. The service was great, and we even went up to the counter to personally compliment the chef. I forget how the phrase was in Arabic but my partner basically said to him "god bless your hands." Will definitely be coming back.

Great place for a Moroccan inspired lunch. The dining area is very open and spacious, complete with a lovely outdoor patio. The "bazar" sandwich consists of merguez sausage, caramelized onions, grilled eggplant, tomatoes and Harissa mayonnaise and it is delicious! The portions were very good. I was full without feeling stuffed and the sangria wasn't all that bad either. I'd love to try their breakfast sometime.

Wonderful brunch! My smoked salmon Benedict was lovely and my daughter had the Grecian scramble. We were so happy with the friendly service. Recommend this spot to those looking for a relaxing, delicious meal. It was a hot day, but we dined outside with the help of useful patio umbrellas.
