Best Indian in the triangle. I got chicken La-Jawab (similar to chicken korma) and my husband got butter chicken both with a spice level 2. So delish, place was a sweet environment for anniversary date.

Bazil Indian Cuisine is a solid, dependable Indian restaurant that delivers good food without a lot of flash. I ordered the chicken saag, and it was pretty good, flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Nothing was off, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant was very quiet when I went, which meant the food came out quickly, making it an easy and relaxed dining experience. Price-wise, Bazil lands in the moderate range for Indian food, a bit higher than many of the cheaper spots around the Triangle, but still reasonable for the quality. That said, while the meal was enjoyable, nothing quite crossed into "wow" territory for me. Overall, this is a good option if you're nearby and want reliable Indian food in a calm setting. Not a destination spot for me, but a consistent and pleasant choice that earns a solid four stars.

This Indian restaurant was family-owned and had a splendid interior atmosphere. The menu was North Indian and held some intrigue and depth. Though I was a bit miffed that sarson ka saag with makki di roti was only offered as a lunch special, I found resplendent alternatives. I got a non-alcoholic beverage with an intriguing complexity of flavor, a hearty soy-based appetizer, and a lively okra dish. The single best thing, however, was a bread with some toasted coriander seeds. It was unbelievably delicious and I am now wondering why every bread does not have toasted coriander seeds on it. I did not get the maximum spice level on my food and so experienced only a mild burn. I had a very welcoming service experience and I was surprised that there were plenty of other people there on an early weekday, but clearly, many of them were regulars. If I lived here, I probably would be too.

This is a relatively new Indian-American restaurant in the Walmart Mall near Glenwood and Pleasant Valley. I'll cut to the chase, this restaurant is absolutely amazing--one of, if not, the best Indian American restaurants that I have eaten at, and I worked in Iselin, NJ which I know as an Indian Restaurant center of the Universe. The restaurant is very well decorated, a little on the upscale side, with Indian music playing in the background. It has tables, booths, and a full service bar. The staff was very polite and attentive. They took care of our every want. And as for the food, wow!

We came here on New Year's Day for lunch. There were only two other tables occupied around this time so it wasn't very busy which allowed our meals to be served sooner. You get a lot for the price of the meal. We started with vegetable samosa's. They were packed with peas and potatoes and spiced so well. They were delicious. For entrees we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken with a spice level of 3. I believe the spice on the chicken tikka masala was higher though. Both meals were great and so tasty. Definitely add to your list of places to try.

Started with shrimp and octopus. Honey shrimp was very good, octopus was ok, just a little too chewy but sauce/spice was very good. We had some garlic naan, vegetables, the mixed grill (lamb, chicken, salmon), lentils with medium spice, all good. We had the Malbec and Pinot Noir, both good but we really liked the French Pinot better. Service was good and the bartender really was on-point with making sure we were comfortable. We will be back.

Recommended choice for Indian cuisine in Raleigh. Bazil offers an extensive menu ranging from authentic to Americanized dishes. We ordered takeout online. The online menu is easy to navigate and includes detailed descriptions of the dishes. Spice level is customizable and seems (in our opinion) to be accurate. Butter chicken - medium ($22) Dal tadka - medium hot ($17) Moong Dal Halwa ($6) Large rice ($4) Achar ($3) Dessert sampler ($10) We enjoyed our meal and recommend Bazil to others!

Looking for a nice place for date night? Enjoy choice cocktails and Indian cuisine? Bazillion Indian Cuisine just might be the place for you. The atmosphere is a upscale sit down restaurant with elegant decor setting the perfect ambiance for a nice date. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The drink menu has an impressive seasonal array of coctails, martinis, wines and non alcoholic choices. I would highly recommend the Pistachio Thyme Sour cocktail, it was a real delight. The Gobi Manchurian is a go to starter. The main course was the Basil La-Jawab chicken, chicken, cashew cream and cilantro, accompanied by garlic naan and chili naan and a side of basmati rice. Everything was quite delicious, full of that robust Indian flavor we love. Make sure to follow your meal up with a nice mango lassi to go.

I am sensitive to spicy, but I love Indian food and they made me some incredible tikka masala veggies! I had the lunch combo with soup and butter naan, it was really delicious and the staff is very present and prompt. Thank you!

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. In other words, it has character, and plenty of it. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, talented, and happy to chat about the spirits behind the bar. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the people behind the bar make this a place worth seeking out whether it's your first stop of the evening or your last.

I had their basil smash, which was refreshing, and the Manhattan--bold with a warm, spicy profile. Pleasant surprise to see Michter's as the special of the night, and it was excellent with smooth caramel and vanilla notes. Service started off a little hands-off since we ordered at the bar, but picked up toward the end when staff came by to check in. Drinks were high quality without being overpriced, and the vibe is relaxed--not at all pretentious. You can definitely come casual. If we had more time, we would've stayed longer or come back for another round.
