I Love Bazille! It's located on the third floor of Nordstrom at Merrick Park, and you can park in the mall garage. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and even has a bar for folks who would rather not get a table. When we got there, Alondra greeted us at the entrance of the restaurant, she is so kind and gracious! She sat us down quickly, and made sure we had a nicely table inside. My husband and I started with the crab bisque, and it was absolutely delicious, 5 out of 5 stars. I ordered the ginger sesame salad with salmon, and it was fresh, flavorful, and amazing. My husband had the roasted turkey & avocado club but substituted the turkey for crispy chicken. It was delicious 5/5 stars! (Apologies that I didn't get a chance to take a picture before he finished it, fellow Yelpers.) Ricky managed our table today and provided us with excellent service and made our visit even more enjoyable. Thank you, Ricky, for taking such great care of us. Rainy Sunday at Merrick Park! We ducked into Nordstrom's restaurant (yes, Nordstrom has a restaurant!) for lunch. First timer here, and apparently so was half of Miami, because we waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated. No biggie--except when we sat down and realized the soundtrack was LOUD. I mean, I expected Nordstrom chic, but my ears said Chili's happy hour. Pro tip: grab a table outside in the store if you want to chat without yelling. Now, onto the good stuff: the food! We went for the lemon pepper chicken gnocchi and the crab mac & cheese. Both were tasty, generous, and absolutely worth the calories. But then came the showstopper: white chocolate bread pudding. We found the happy hour here was 2:30p thru 5:00pm could not believe it so this place in reality does not want any customers during those hours since they would have to reduce their prices, there better off not offering it. We just missed the 5 pm cutoff & shared a bowl of the tomato soup was not salty but creamy really perfect also had 2 lime chicken salads good tasting & abundant portion. Always great food! I wish there were more locations! Very consistent. There is not much ambiance but the food makes up for it.

My son had French onion soup and a braised beef baguette sandwich. I had a cilantro lime dressing on mixed baby greens salad topped with grilled corn, pumpkin seeds and crispy tortilla bits with the added protein of beef skirt steak and added avocado slices. We also had 2 chocolate chip cookies and everything was delicious especially the soup and my salad. read more

Since when adding flavour to food means making everything spicy ? I've been coming to this place since it opened but since they turned it into Bazille I have mixed feelings about it. Try to avoid it during high traffic of customers; otherwise, you'll end up with Kids Mac and Cheese rather than the Crab Mac and Cheese and , tomato soup rather than the onion soup you ordered....ah! This restaurant is very small so if you come here on a weekend or busy time, be prepared to wait. I much prefer their Boca Raton location which is much bigger. Our server was not too attentive. She was friendly but not around when we needed refills on drinks. I ordered the NY strip steak and fry special. The steak had little seasoning. The fries were really tasty. I ordered a soda and it was flat. It just felt like too much money to spend on a lackluster meal. I do purchase their Roma tomato soup in a jar every time I pass by one of their locations. Came here on a bustling Saturday waited half an hour to be sat, but didn't know it was our turn because there was no signal to contact us until we came up to them. The chicken soup was very good, unique than the usual base. The bread it came with was crispy, cheesy, and buttery. The green cilantro salad was OK a bit lackluster. We had made an online reservation for Easter Sunday in advance since we have a special needs child & cannot wait long, as well as due to the fact Easter Sunday fills up quickly. We received an automated email the day before asking us to confirm our reservation, which I promptly did. When we arrived, even though we had a confirmed reservation, Nordstrom was closed. No notice, no cancelling our reservation...nothing! Though the food is generally decent, this really soured us & we will probably not go back. Service has also severely declined this year. Bazille is a quaint spot tucked into the 3rd floor of Nordstrom located at the Shops at Merrick Park. Parking can get a little tight inside there so be warned! However most are willing to look past that fact since the parking is complimentary for 2 hours. Service was great! I feel like most hostesses at restaurants are nice, but the hostess's who greeted us were super warm and attentive. It was refreshing! We came in during peak lunch hour and the wait wasn't too long, although the place was pretty busy. I'd say we waited 10 minutes max if even that. Our server was Stephanie and she was great! Super kind, attentive, and accommodating. Now this isn't the place you come to if you want an intricate, extensive dinner menu! But this place is amazing for a what it is, which is more of an upscale cafe vibe with dishes that will make your palate dance. They also have seasonal dishes which is always fun! Every single thing I have ever tasted from this place has been good. Burrata is pretty good and I love how they pair it with the basalmic and pesto! I got to sample some of the halibut and chips from one of the members of my party and I really appreciated the combination of flavors. The fish combined with the olive sauce (not pictured) and then fries and then coleslaw created a sweet/salty/savory pairing that just worked to me. The blackberry smash mocktail was also soooo good! I could chug like 10 of them! However....the spotlight of the afternoon had to go to the spinach and artichoke dip. It's crazy because I only opted to get the spinach dip because they were out of the brussels (which are also FIRE), so I can't suspect it to be anything short of fate! Guysssss I am not kidding when I say that was some of thee best spinach dip I've ever had, if not it's undoubtedly top 5!!! It was so flavorful and had the perfect balance of everything wow wow wow. Shopping and eating! My two favorite things to do! The Nordstrom in coral gables is the best place to enjoy both! The store is never crowded but I do have to say that doesn't mean you won't have to wait a bit for a table at the Bazille, it is busy! Located on the 3rd floor, the Bazille of the store, the restaurant is a local hot spot. The food is delicious and they have something for everyone! Perfect spot to grab a delicious bite to eat after shopping. Although sometimes I come here just for the food and skip the shopping altogether. I love that they have a seasonal menu that is always a beautiful fresh addition to their wonderful regular menu. I had dinner there recently and decided to try a few of their summer specials. The fresh berry salad, prosciutto arugula pizza, and strawberry shortcake were all chock-full of refreshing summer flavor. Let me start with the positive: the hostess was friendly & we were seated immediately and that's where this experience ends. The restaurant is filthy - our chairs were colored on, had stains, our utensils were clearly not cleaned and there were unknown items floating in our water. This would have been an easy fix but our TWO waitresses were nowhere to be found during the entirety of our meal. The club sandwich is always great but the portions seemed off. The most offensive part of our meal was the $15 brunch item that was cold and lackluster to say the least. I think the photos speak for themselves. Gone are the days where you your bill came with a little mint chocolate - a small touch that made an impact. This restaurant has completely gone down hill. What a shame :( read more

Stopped by Bazille back in December after a day spent at the gym and picking up gifts for the holidays. We had a free dessert coupon from a Nordstrom pick up, so we figured why not try out Bazille for a quick lunch before leaving the mall? We did and were were pleasantly surprised. Everything from the service to the food was excellent! We started off with an individual bowl of crab bisque, which was served with crispy garlic dipping bread. The bisque was on the tastier and hearty side with plenty of crab. The option of crab bisque in the menu was a welcome change from the equally good, but more common lobster bisque served elsewhere. For the main course, we went ahead and split an order of the French dip with a side of fries. Wow! The french dip was EXCELLENT! It's probably my second favorite French dip outside of Hillstone's (and less expensive, so very worth it to order in my opinion). The quality of the meat was excellent, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. For the comped dessert, we opted for the crème brûlée. I am happy to report that Bazille does not skimp out on the vanilla bean! Overall, we were very happy with Bazille. We figured it would be a good spot to dine in at, but not as good as it ended up being for us. Can't wait to go back the next time we find ourselves needing a quick bite at Merrick Park. Bazille is a hidden gem in Nordstrom Merrick Park & the perfect place for a casual lunch while shopping. The Heirloom Tomatos & Burrata is a great starter it can easily be shared or be eaten by one person. The bread is crunchy and the pesto sauce is so flavorful which pairs great with the fresh tomatoes and Burrata. One of my go to things to order is the Little Gem Caesar salad but ask for it with fried chicken on top, the fried chicken here is so crunchy and flavorful. This is the chicken they use for their crispy chicken sandwiches which I also highly recommend. I cannot eat at Bazille without ordering the French fries and kalamata olive aioli are my favorite, they are seasoned so well & the aioli is just amazing. This is a great place if you're shopping at Merrick Park. Always consistently good food. Today we had the monkey bread to share (it was good but a bit too rich and a little dry), the crab bisque (always delicious!), the French onion soup (very good), the wild salmon with saffron couscous (very good, maybe a bit dry) and the wild Salmon Nicoise Salad (tasty). Server was very pleasant, drinks were great. It was pretty busy and we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated, but we shopped while waiting. I celebrated my birthday lunch today with 12 girlfriends! Our server, Emilio, was outstanding. Many of the girls ordered salads, etc with specific requests like dressing in the side, well done chicken etc. Everything was wonderful and Emilio was super attentive! So I have always loved this place! I love going shopping on the weekends and popping in for consistently good food! Today, I decided to check out their new menu items since I last ate here. I tried the salmon with Mediterranean couscous with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and feta plus tzatziki sauce. Overall, I would not order it again ( which is the first time I didn't like a meal here!) The salmon was dry and too salty. The overall flavor profile was too strong and salty plus it's about 800+ calories which was not worth it. Next time, I will revert to my crab, mango, avocado salad appetizer, cilantro lime shrimp salad, or crab bisque. However, service is always great here! Hidden gem! I had always heard about Nordstrom having a great restaurant but I never took it seriously , well , you should! It's so good and I can't wait to come back again. My friend had me meet there and I was unaware it was inside the department. It's in the third floor by the children's clothing and once you step inside you forget where you are. Sadly I forgot the server's name but he was very friendly, tall with long hair and he said he was from Cuba as well. Kudos to him. My friend ordered a grilled cheese with fries which looked envy worthy. I however went with a healthier option. The salmon Caesar salad . The salmon was beautifully dark colored and cooked with a zesty spice (not spicy) and the salad was to die for. Will come back to be a little more dangerous with my meals. I finally came back after coming here to a Yelp event a few months ago. Bazille has been on my mind for a while. Especially their white chocolate bread pudding. Funny bc I don't like bread pudding and I don't like white chocolate. But that's how good theirs is! So I ordered the chef's special but in actuality I wanted to order everything. I figured to get the chef's special since it may not be available for too long the next time I return. It was really good. Chicken was exceptionally soft and juicy and the apricot sauce paired so well with it. I like to douse any meat I eat to mask any meaty smell/flavor. The green beans were ok. Nothing special about them. The scalloped potatoes were unique.... I thought they were scrambled eggs at first. Whatever cheese or cream it was topped with looked as if it was curdled so that's why I thought it was scrambled eggs. It tasted better than it looked. I wouldn't order this dish again though. I enjoyed it but I wasn't wowed. The entire time my mind was on that white chocolate bread pudding! I wanted to order it first. Finally my dessert came and it was the bomb.com I can't wait to return to order it again. In regards to service... the staff seems so very low on energy. I don't know if they're tired or don't enjoy working there but it was something that bothered me. I work by Merrick Park and there's really not a lot of food choices around. However, Bazille inside Nordstrom is that one place that I've never tried until last week. It just seems there's always a long wait every time I go for lunch. This time, I came around 4pm and it was merely empty. First of all, I was surprised that they even have a happy hour. They call it "Sunset Menu". Pretty good prices but limited food selection. 4 choices of $5 appetizers, all beers for $4, and select single cocktails are $6 each. I got the Mediterranean Shrimp Bruschetta appetizer and it was pretty good. The problem was it didn't fill me up so I added a French Onion soup because I heard from co-workers that theirs is amazing. And I have to agree. It's probably the best one I've had in years! It was flavorful and piping hot with chunky veggies inside and gooey melted cheese on top. I was really impressed. The soup was not part of the Sunset Menu. It was $7.95 but worth it. I will have to come back again and try items from the regular menu.
