This time they came out in less than a half hour, diagnosed the problem, replaced the motor with a new modern belt driven one, reprogrammed my car remotes in about an hour. He worked for about 45 minutes on it, testing the receiver, battery, and various other components and got the keypad working again. The coil on my garage door opener broke returning home in the evening. I fully expected a garage door repair technician to come out in a few days but BBB Garage Door knew I needed it repaired sooner. Customer service was very responsive! They had one of their top technicians, Nathan, out to my home the following morning for the repairs. He also inspected and lubricated necessary movement areas to enable smooth and quiet operation. Nathan also advised me on regular 6-month maintenance and the proper and easy installation of the myQ Gateway module to my WiFi router so I could use my smartphone for garage door status and function. 11/5/2023 I contacted BBB to install a garage door opener. The gentleman who took my call asked the brand of the opener I purchased, gave me the rate and advised they are a honest family-owned business. "No surprises!" he said. He gave me a next day appointment, but called later to advise a same day appointment. GREAT! Sean arrived on time, explained the process and within an 1 1/2 hours he was done. He tested all openers with me, the wall pad, the outside keypad, the car fobs and the phone app. He was knowledgeable and very patient. We haven't yet done this job, but we had them come out to look at converting a double door attached garage to a single door garage. The technician facetimed his supervisor in to inspect the framing and see whether it could be done. We ended up agreeing to get structural engineer (they do not have one on staff) to design the framing to ensure it is strong enough and to have the drawings for the permitting process. This is definitely the correct approach for this job and we will be circling back to BBB to do the construction once we have the drawings and permits. read more
