I called the office and a technician - Avi - came to my home the next day. He called about an hour before arriving and just before he came to my house. He came a few minutes early. Avi is really knowledgeable. I thought that I needed to replace an old wooden garage door, the motor and springs. The works. He inspected it thoroughly. Instead of a replacement he did a full garage door system tune up for a small fraction of the price. He is extremely personable, friendly, reliable. I am a customer for life! My Garage door suddenly broke and really didn't know who to call. I looked on Yelp and found BBB garage doors. I am impressed that they answered the phone on a Saturday afternoon. The technician from BBB arrived 1.2 hours after I called them. Avi, from BBB, arrived and accessed the problem. He gave me some options to the problem and I decided to change out my garage unit. He informed he did not have that unit on his truck but he would come back first thing the next morning to do the replacement. More than acceptable in my eyes. An hour later, Avi calls me and said he was able to procure the replacement unit and could return in an hour to do the work. Avi finished an hour after he arrived and then took his time to explain to me how the new unit works and show me everything I needed to know. BBB and Avi did a wonderful job. Woke up Wednesday night to a powered garage door that wouldn't open. No biggie.. I'll just pull the manual release and roll the door up/down by hand right. Yeah, that worked for about 1 day.. until the cable/spring broke and the garage door was hanging crooked!! Experienced an "accident" where 2 garage door rollers jumped the track resulting in door getting stuck half way. Called BBB on a Saturday. Call was attended promptly, efficiently and courteously. Was advised that technician would come to the house the next day (a Sunday!!) and was given at ETA. Next day, they called to reconfirm and Sean arrived promptly at the designated time. Sean, who was polite and pleasant, immediately rectified the problem, lubricated the tracks and as a precaution, reenforced the ceiling motor with an additional metal bar -- a defect left from the initial installation (another company) that he noticed, took the initiative to let us know, recommended a solution and repaired. The loose ceiling motor attachment was an issue we were not even aware of and unrelated to the repair for which they were contacted. Highly recommend BBB! read more
