Wow...Just Wow! If I could give STI Garage Door Services 10 stars I would! Excellent service! My garage door had stopped opening properly for about a month. I knew it seemed to be off the rails a bit and not aligning with the sensors (due to me hitting the side of the garage after backing out). I received a ridiculous quote from a big box store brand of $600 (even after I made them take off $200+ charges that should have been included in the repair price anyway, which they were quick to accommodate to get my business). They said I needed an entirely new garage door opener, and the "consultant" did no thorough inspection whatsoever of the doors, rails, opener, etc. Just a quick eye test after I told him what I thought the problem was. My current opener is only 7 years old, so the new opener recommendation seemed odd. To add insult to injury, I had a window from 8 am-12 pm on a Friday for them to come by (which messed up my entire day) and they showed up at 1:15 pm. I definitely wanted/needed another opinion and estimate. After seeing all of the unbelievable reviews on YELP, I called STI Garage Door Services, as soon as they left, for a next day appointment and free estimate. STI was there on Saturday morning at 8:45 am (as promised) and immediately diagnosed the issue. I did not need a new opener, but rather only a rail and sensor realignment so that the garage door could be put back on track and open and close properly. They also gave me a garage door tune-up, which I requested, and my garage door now works like a charm! No overcharges or unnecessary recommendations. Anatoliy is an excellent mechanic - he confirmed that he had the correct type of spring on the truck, and since my double door uses two, it seemed a bit high to pay double, so he worked with me to make a reasonable way to replace both springs at one shot. Sergey was my 3rd garage door guy. First one who installed a few years ago was Andrew with a different company that apparently went out of business. So I looked around when one of the door openers malfunctioned. The guy with the most reviews who showed up was Eli with another company.
