Nice and clean salon. Very spacious inside. We went for haircut. Easy to get the appointments. Price chart is online. June did a great job on my haircut. It's exactly how I want it. Even after I wash it, the style stays and it's easy to manage. Mariam did my mom's hair. The back could use a little bit more fixing but overall it's great. I needed a cut - just a trim, following the haircut I already had - nothing new, nothing more, nothing less. It was terrible. When it was done, The stylist tried to part it in the middle - I came on with a side part! She didn't follow the existing cut, and after I got home and washed my hair the next day, after the gel was out - it was literally one of the worst 2 or 3 cuts I have ever gotten in my life. The shape, the length - all awful. I was leaving for out of town meetings the next day and was forced to get scissors to try to clean it up on my own. I can't wait for it to grow out a bit so I can get it fixed anywhere else. Never ever going back. read more

I made appointment with a stylist whom I did not know before. It took her 50 minutes or more to do a very mediocre blow dry. Nothing like the photo of my styled hair that I showed her before she started. Then they charged me extra as supposedly she is a "master" stylist, even though I did not ask for her or someone who is "master" My hair looks awful, still frizzy. I do not recommend. read more

I moved over to Magnifique and couldn't be happier (plus they have their own parking. A big help). Located in the heart of the Tenafly business district, BBC has been a fixture here for a long time. Highly successful with what appears to be a large number of regular customers and often new ones, BBC serves women, men and children and serves them very well. Frankly, the reason I became a customer is because whenever I drove by the place and saw someone walking out, they looked so terrific. This is a busy, fun place where the personal service you get from the call you make to set up an appointment to youir finishing touches has always been excellent. The atmosphere there is lively, and energized. They take extreme care in everything they do from the wash to the blow-out. I booked my appointment with Audrey and was happy that I did. Cutting off 8+ inches of hair can be frightening but she asked exactly what I wanted, took the time to understand the how I style my hair (I'm a wake and go type) and made sure that I was satisfied. This salon has the most friendliest staff I have encountered so far. From walking in, the receptionist made sure I was comfortable and made me delicious coffee. I got an ombre done by Vanessa. She really listened to what look I wanted to achieve and followed through. My hair came out even better than I had expected. My hair is very thick and is jet black and so it is often difficult for stylists to manage it, but Vanessa is a pro. I highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

She gave me exactly what I asked for while giving me suggestions when prompted. She took the brassiness out of my bayalage and gave me a much better haircut. I went to BBC a few days ago for a haircut, lowlights & highlights (half head) and I am very pleased with my results! Even though I checked Yelp before going and saw multiple five-star reviews, I was still nervous to try a new place. I am often disappointed when I get my hair done at other salons so I am very happy that I received exactly what I asked for...and more! I entered the salon, hung my coat up, was offered a drink and was seated right away. The salon is very large inside and I like how they have the color station out in the open, it was a nice touch. I have been told by several stylists that I have thick, course hair so it usually takes quite a long time for them to complete the task. I usually sense the frustration of my stylist because it is so time consuming. This usually makes me uncomfortable because there isn't anything I can do about it. I didn't sense much frustration with my stylist this time which was a nice change. Marian took her time and made sure everything was done just right. I found a Groupon for BBC Salon because I haven't found the right stylist for my type of hair and I finally found her. I went to Carmela and she did exactly what I wanted. Most times, you show a stylist a photo of what you want and it usually leaves you disappointed but she totally got it. My hair is naturally curly and i wanted it shorter. She was able to shape it so it doesn't go crazy if i wear it curly. So happy with the results, and she helped correct my color. Will definitely be back. read more

I went in for a simple haircut so I can cut off some dead length. My experience was nice and calming. Carmela was my hairstylist and it felt like a relaxing appointment. She gave me suggestions based on what I asked and didn't push any products unecessarily. The boss is really nice too, he complimented my hair color (from a previous salon) without saying "hey you should get it re-colored!" Like they were just genuine people. Plus the salon itself feels homey with a pinterest like organizing system for hair color in the back. Carmela told me the boss made it himself, which shows he puts a lot of effort into his salon. Here goes: This salon is the ultimate in every way...service, styling, color, talent galore, staying up to date in the trade, the finest and latest products, patience and friendliness. From the minute you walk in, Terry, the most charming, friendly and helpful receptionist will take care of you. And you will immediately know that you have come to the right place. I have seen this over and over again these past twenty years. This applies to all of the staff. Should another receptionist greet you the service is the same. I have never felt rushed, my requests as to style are always considered and I am always and entirely satisfied with the end result. And I have been confident and satisfied going to another member of the multi talented staff should Nicky, one of the owners be on vacation.. I don't exactly live around the corner from Tenafly and there are many salons closer to me but I chose BBC because of all the reasons I've cited and I'm always happy with my decision.
