Sel is the best! He really cares and listens to what his clients hair needs are! Everyone is so professional from the receptionist, to the woman that washed my hair, and of course my favorite and most excellent hair stylist, Sel! I've known him for over 15 years, back when he was the owner of Friends Hair Design on Ditmars Boulevard, and I now follow him all the way to Cresskill, NJ! I was once a loyal customer until I had a disappointment with my color. The arrogance from management and the staff really came out. I had not returned for about a month and returned to get a replacement brush, which just broke after 3 months. The attitude was abhorrent towards me. Instead of showing grace and professionalism, Leticia scowled and me and huffed and puffed while Sal ignored me. So pathetic. I am so glad I've left. No amount of talent replaces attitude. read more

The worst haircut, EVER!! My son went in for a haircut. We specified that we wanted long in the back and a bit shorter on top, "surfer look". My son even showed her a photo of the last haircut he received. It is the same haircut he has received for years, but at a NYC salon that we could not go to because of covid precautions. This "hairdresser" did the exact opposite, Short in the back and long on top!!! It looks HORRIBLE on him. If she had been even a half decent hairdresser who had not been given instructions to follow, she should have looked at his face and been able to determine that you don't give someone with his face shape the haircut he was given. I had a similar bad experience with highlights at the salon and never went back. Shame on me for giving them another chance. NEVER AGAIN!! Stay away from this salon! read more

i love salon q2. they always do a great job with the color of my hair and i find myself going back because i trust them. however, the one complaint i have is the pricing. i understand it's a "luxury" hair salon, but $110 for a haircut is unreasonable. i got my hair dyed and barely got an inch of a trim and they charged me $110. to be fair, they are transparent with their prices on their website but no one expects to be charged that much for a trim. it's ridiculous. great quality but you can probably get it for way cheaper at another salon nearby. unfortunately they have lost me as a customer. read more

Loved my haircut from Ty! I have been to a salon couple weeks ago to get a blow out done for my cousin's wedding and had a good impression about the salon. I usually just wait until I go back to my motherland over the break to get my hair done because I have tried multiple salons in the States and have failed in all of them. However for some reason, I just really wanted to get a haircut from Salon Q2. Ty was very careful during consultation; I was so glad that he checked again and again with the length of hair cut, what most stylists don't do usually and end up with unhappy customers. Long story short, I love my haircut, it was $100+tip. I also thought the receptionist was so kind and caring, just made my trip extra happier. Will be their regulars from now on! read more

I don't recall the names, but the ladies were both nice. The one who did my pedicure and manicure did a FANTASTIC job. She also did my eyebrows for me. While I was leaving and in the car, I noticed my sandal had messed up my pinky toe. I went back and they had just closed but they opened back up so that they can quickly fix it for me. I greatly appreciated that. Their prices are unbeatable! If I still lived in town, I would go there very often ! This nail salon is worth every penny and then some due to their great service, calm atmosphere, and cleanliness.

Men's Service: I came in for a specific haircut with reference photos, but the stylist used an unsuitable technique for my hair type, which completely ruined the intended style. On top of that, I was charged premium prices for services that felt rushed and incomplete. A "grooming" add-on was minimal, and a "beard trim" was nothing more than a quick clipper pass -- no detailing, no aftercare. I even had to wash my own beard afterward. For over $300 (with tax), I expected skilled, attentive service and results that matched what I requested. Instead, the work felt hurried, lacked basic finishing touches, and didn't justify the cost. Selcuk did my hair for my wedding this past Saturday and I could not have been happier. I found the salon through another bridal recommendation, who said that these guys are best of the best. I am not from NJ and was searching for the perfect person to do my wedding hair and he delivered that and more. My hair was literally the talk of the night and was beyond what I could have imagined. He is honestly the most talented stylist I've ever met, and I'm so happy to have found him (and the rest of the team at Salon Q). I would a thousand percent recommend them to anyone! read more

I'm really happy with how my hair came out, Cem did a great job, and it looks exactly how I wanted. That said, I did have some concerns with my experience. There were some unnecessary comments made about my natural hair, and the brushing was quite aggressive. Unfortunately, this led to my earring being ripped through my ear, causing significant bleeding. What was disappointing is that no discount was offered to acknowledge what had happened. While I'm happy with the final result, the overall experience left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. read more

Geniuses. I've never truly loved my hair after getting it done and I can honestly say that I'm in love with my hair after salon q2. I hate when I go to a salon where I feel obligated to talk and when a stylist acts like a therapist, this place was completely professional! No one bothered me, only was asked if I wanted something to drink which is a bonus! They were so nice and polite as well. It's a luxury experience and I'm totally obsessed. read more

It is the most professional salon I have ever been to, also with the current situation with COVID they are on top of all of the safety protocols that should be done in a salon environment. I did not feel uncomfortable at all during my visit. This salon is a 10 all day long!! read more
